What actually happened was weeks of touch and go work by several different techs before the system did what I was told it would do when I signed the contract. The crew showed up on time that first day. Joseph, the lead, showed up an hour late. At the end of the shift he made a point of complaining about staying late, which was him making up the hour he'd missed, and they wouldn't stay the two hours it would have taken to actually finish. The job got left unfinished and my Powerwall got left sitting outside uncovered. They had to send a tech back out on a separate trip just to put the cover on it, and this was during a stretch when we were getting scattered showers. Before the install I told Andre, my project manager, that I didn't want panels anywhere roof vents would put shade on them. They installed two right next to a taller vent anyway, so depending on where the sun was, one or the other sat in shade for part of the day. If you're looking at a string inverter system, this matters much more than it sounds like it should. Panels on a string are wired in series, so the entire string produces at the level of its weakest panel. A single shaded panel doesn't just cost you that panel's output, it drags down every panel on the string for as long as the shade is there. That's the whole reason I brought it up before they started. They ended up having to come back out and relocate both. The backup is the part I'd want anyone considering this company to read. I never asked for anything less than whole home backup, not one time, and I signed on the assurance that my whole house would run on solar. What was actually written into the contract was partial, essentials only backup. When I raised it, nobody at the company could trace back a single piece of communication showing how that decision got made or who made it. Then after the install it came out that the solar couldn't see any load that wasn't on the backup panel, which meant most of my house was never going to run on solar the way it had been described to me. Their answer to that was an energy monitor. I spent weeks troubleshooting it before we established that it could only see half of my EV charger's draw, so it was never going to solve anything. Their next proposal was to move the charger onto the backup panel and bill me for the whole home backup that should have been scoped correctly in the first place. They had also missed my HVAC controller. So when the power went out, my air conditioning went out with it and roughly 90% of my house sat dark in the middle of the day at peak solar production. In Arizona. That is the single scenario this system exists to prevent. I also ended up running the entire interconnection process with my utility, ED3, mostly on my own. Coordinating with the power company is squarely a project manager's job, and honestly it was one of the specific reasons I wanted a company that assigns a dedicated PM to every install. Andre was AWOL for that whole process. I was the one tracking where things stood, following up, and keeping it moving. Beyond that, Andre kept telling me things were normal when they clearly were not, and nothing got resolved unless I pushed for it myself. At one point he forwarded me a reply asking for a photo I had already provided in that same email chain. When it escalated, Brett, one of the owners, asked me why I had agreed to a partial backup, which put his own company's scoping error back on me, and then told me he'd lose money covering the whole home backup because of how far out I live. Most of those trips he was counting were rework his own team created. I chose Green Muscle in part because every job gets a dedicated project manager. That turned out to be the weakest part of the entire experience. The system works now, months later, and only because I wouldn't let it go.

A few weeks ago, I was in contact with someone who was more aligned with the service that we had originally received when we first started working with Elevation Solar. The person I spoke with completely understood our concerns, was empathetic to the issues, and worked with us to schedule a time to have any issues fixed. The day that it was scheduled for, the first gentleman who showed up not only listened to my concerns so that they could complete the project, but he pointed out areas that we hadn't seen that should be corrected. The first gentleman was a manager and waited for the second guy to arrive and went over everything with him. The 2nd gentleman did a spectacular job and the side of our house looks so good. He worked for several hours to fix it, went through everything with me, and made our house look like it did prior to the installation. Afterwards, the person I spoke with followed up to make sure everything was perfect. Everyone I have dealt with in the past two weeks have been understanding, apologetic, and have made it clear that what happened was not the level of service that Elevation Home Energy Solutions provides. Mistakes happen, that's life. But it's the way that the company reacts to it that makes a difference and I'm completely satisfied with the solution to the mistake that were made. Our solars panels are producing, they look amazing, and now the side of our house looks just as good as the rest of our home.

What started as an exciting first time investment in solar energy has turned into a source of significant financial strain and constant frustration. Our system completely failed in July 2025, just two years after installation. Between July and September 2025, we accumulated over $900+ and counting in unexpected utility bills while our system sat non-operational. It took until September for Elevation Solar to diagnose a faulty inverter, followed by delayed repairs and installation. To make matters worse, we're now experiencing additional optimizer failures in December 2025. SolarEdge themselves confirmed that inverter failure after only two years is "unusual," yet Elevation Solar refuses to take any responsibility. The financial impact has been devastating. We're currently paying both our solar loan and unexpectedly high utility bills, essentially paying twice for our electricity. When equipment fails, Elevation Solar charges $200 service fees for warranty repairs - yes, you read that correctly, they charge to fix their defective equipment under warranty. The system is significantly underperforming compared to the promised 15,656 KWH annual production, and we've lost substantial energy production during peak Arizona summer months. Speaking of underperformance, let me share some concrete numbers: As of December 2025, our system has only produced 11,900 kWh (11.9 MWh) of the promised 15,656 kWh annual production - that's only 76% of what was guaranteed. With one panel now completely non-functional since the inverter replacement, winter's shorter days, and only 20 days left in the year, there's no possibility of reaching the promised production levels. We're paying premium prices for a system that's delivering economy performance. The customer service experience has been equally disappointing. Elevation Solar consistently provides dismissive responses to legitimate concerns and ignores requests for contract termination options. They force customers to monitor their own systems despite known equipment issues and refuse to compensate for losses due to their equipment failures. Multiple escalations are required to get basic information, and they consistently hide behind contract fine print to avoid responsibility. Their standard response to serious concerns is simply "We stand firm on our statements." What they don't tell you before you sign: You're stuck with equipment payments even when the system fails, they charge you to fix their defective equipment, there's no compensation for system downtime, and their "lifetime warranty" comes with hidden fees. The contract heavily favors the company, not the customer, and when their system fails, you're stuck paying twice - both the solar loan and utility bills. Save yourself the headache and financial strain. AVOID ELEVATION SOLAR. There are better companies who stand behind their products and actually care about customer satisfaction. I received the design drawings, made some minor changes and approved them. Financing company sent paperwork and all good.. Got a call from the crew saying they were about 3 weeks out but that will be enough time to get all the material in.(that struck me as strange, solar company that installs is waiting 3 weeks for material ???) oh well that's fine.. 3 weeks latter got a call from the install crew stating everything is ready and would be on site Monday morning. Monday morning 8:00 am a crew of 6 showed up, and by Friday I had a 36 panel system installed,(changed from 33 panels to 36 due to replacing skylights) I was told the the 3 extra panels were not a big deal but would have to be redrawn for city approval. (An extra week or so) Ok,, this is where it starts going down hill. #1 when the equipment was ordered the company pulled a draw off of my loan so that started the interest on the loan. So for a month I have had to pay the interest on the equipment, now the job is finished and they pulled the rest of the money, now I'm paying interest on all the loan..(NOW THE DO SAY THAT THERE ARE NO PAYMENTS FOR 6 MONTHS) but they don't tell you that you are stilling paying the interest. #2 install was completed by March 1, 2024 it is now June 2 2024 Fusion has yet to call me and tell me where we are at in the process. I have taken it upon myself to call the city and find the they reviewed it but there was an error so it went back for redesign and now it will be reviewed again. The short and long of this is 1. DO NOT APPROVE/ ANY MONEY OR HAVE THE WORK EVEN STARTED UNTILL ALL (ALL) PERMITS HAVE CLEARED The workmen ship looks to be good and the products are name brand so I think whenever it is turned on I will have a good system. Fusion did say when we are finished they would refund my interest that was paid. (Waiting to finish so I will let you know latter on that part also)

Having the skylights our in made an incredible difference! During the day it's bright enough that you don't need to turn on the light. I was a little torn about weather or not to get the living room one but very glad I did. Our living room had a lot of light already but this deco tipped it to where we never turn the lights on during the day. You can see a noticeable difference when the clouds block out the sun. The guys also did a great job figuring out where to put it so that the room will have nice even light.
