After speaking with several solar companies and doing quite a bit of online research, I quickly realized how easy it is to get spooked by horror stories, especially from companies that overpromise and underdeliver. Many solar sales reps will say whatever it takes to close a deal. I met with Mark in April 2025, and from the very beginning, I felt completely at ease, zero pressure. He came to our home with a well-prepared proposal in hand. After taking a few days to run the numbers and do my homework, I decided to move forward. We had 25 panels installed on our home, which we purchased in October 2024. The only slight adjustment came after installation: one panel's placement caused our expected annual energy production to drop by about 8%, from 20,759 kWh to 19,112 kWh. That was clearly explained and handled professionally. Once the project kicked off, Buddy stepped in as the project manager and was outstanding. He and the entire crew were professional, punctual, and worked hard, even in the Arizona heat. They took care of everything, from permits to coordinating with APS, the HOA, and the City of Phoenix. Any time I had a question, both Mark and Buddy were responsive and flexible. We were initially told the system would be installed and operational between July 2 and August 31, 2025. Impressively, it was fully up and running by July 7. Just in time for the heat! There's a reason this company has such great reviews, they've earned them through hard work and exceptional service. We compared three solar companies that had very high reviews in Yelp. We selected Aneva Solar because of price, quality of equipment and least amount of sales pressure. Steve was very informative and explained the process, program and answered all of our questions. There was no sales pressure at all. I believe he is salaried. The system was over $20,000 less than one of the other highly rated solar companies. But Aneva Solar offered the highest quality of equipment--Meyer Burger panels and Enphase equipment. They connected us to a financing company for us to purchase the system. The interest rate of 3.99% was extremely attractive. This part of the process was very seamless and easy as well. Great communication for each company and part of the process. Aneva Solar calculated the number of panels so that we do not pay an APS bill and actually receive money at the end of each year. The installation process went very smoothly. Chris, who is the supervisor over the installation, was very easy to work with. He's very calm, but efficient and thoroughly knowledgeable. They passed the city permitting and APS inspections easily. The city inspector mentioned how great the installation was compared to other solar providers. The system is now up and running. Everything is going well. It will be a little time before we see what our savings are. They will come back in 90 days to go over everything and make sure that the system is working properly and that the savings are what they predicted. Their warranty is 25 years on the equipment, 10 years on roof penetrations-- warranted against leakage, and even gave us a guarantee on their predictions for cost savings. So far it has been a very smooth and enjoyable experience. We chose to install solar in an effort to lessen hydrocarbons released into the atmosphere. A very exacting friend recommended Aneva, and we checked its references and reviews to confirm. Our system is now up and running. There were a few inevitable kinks with the installation of what we call our "power plant," but frankly we have been really happy with the tenacity of the Aneva Solar folks in troubleshooting and fixing everything. We are satisfied with the quality of their work. They answered all our questions and at the front end gently questioned some of our assumptions on the large quantity of panels we wanted (we explained and they understood and accepted what we had in mind). Much like everyone on here, I read the reviews, and I thought to myself this is the company to go with. They definitely put their best foot forward at the start with getting the owners involved to sell you the system. To me, the real sign of a good company is how they handle any issues that come up. You will never have a $30k project without any issues. But with Aneva, anything that came up was taken care of above and beyond. I was paired up with Herb for getting a quote, and being I was in a newly built home, there was no usage history. There was a lot of back and forth on trying to figure out the "right" size system. From their estimates they thought I needed a much larger system than what I thought I needed, and we ended up meeting half way in the middle. Herb was easy to work with and spit out a lot of revisions until we came up with the "right" system for me. Then came Chris the project manager for my job, and he went above and beyond to make my install a success. He had a great plan on where to install to maximize production and hide as much of the conduit as possible. The install guys, and especially the point man Ed, did a great job. Ed is a real asset to the company. Check out how clean the side of my house looks. The install was finished Thursday afternoon, and Friday morning the city approved it. Less than three weeks later, my system was live and producing. Kudos! Now I can't wait for the three month follow-up appointment to review the bills, to see where my production sits. Aneva solar installed my system 7 years ago. I received a phone call from them stating that they noticed an issue with one of my panels and wanted to setup a time to investigate the issue. It was discovered that one panel was producing about 50% of what should be expected. Aneva initiated the warranty process and coordinated the replacement at no cost to me. Impressive that they proactively noticed the issue before I did and handled the warranty replacement. You hear horror stories on company's not responding after they have cashed the check. This is not the case with Aneva! The outstanding service received 7 years ago with the purchase and installation of the system continues 7 years later. I had Aneva install my solar system in approximately November of 2023 and the installation crew did a great job. After having my system up and running for nearly five months now, we are starting to see the savings we expected and the system is producing more energy than the estimates we were provided. Had a 73 panel system installed using top of the line components and LG panels with a 25 year warranty on everything. They took care of all the project management details, including walking me (a solar newbie) through all the details and answering my questions, getting all the permits secured, installation and commissioning the start up. There were a couple curve balls that came up during the process and they worked out solutions to address them, needing only a confirmation from me that the solution they came up with was acceptable. The system went active in September '21 and we now have a $200 credit balance on our APS bill that keeps growing every month. We chose Aneva after seeing their van in our neighborhood and seeing that they had only wonderful, detailed 5 star reviews online. They are a local company that has been serving Phoenix for at least 10 years. They are very organized and keep their customers informed throughout the entire process. They had initially arranged a meeting for us to meet with Mark who gathered information from and essentially showed us the types of panels they use and the blueprint of how they would be installed on our roof. Rather than trying to have us purchase and install as many panels as possible, Mark asked us exactly what we were looking for with switching to solar energy and we explained we weren't ready to go off the grid so something more financially efficient. He provided us with a plan based on our request and the step by step schedule and payment installments that would occur. All this was very informative so that once we started the installation process, there were no (major) surprises. Chris was our project manager and did a wonderful job with keeping us updated on the project's timeline. We did have a few minor electrical issues after installation but they were addressed and fixed immediately (simple fixes) by Chris which we were so appreciative for. Contacting APS to get final approval to turn on the panels was a little bit of a hassle (no fault on Aneva's side as this is APS's process itself), but once that was done, we have been smooth sailing with our new panels. We also appreciate that the payments were divided up and collected based on steps completed in the installation process. We will still have a 3 month follow up with Mark to assess how our panels are doing and Chris also informed me that Aneva will continue to monitor our panels' function as well which was reassuring to hear. I felt Anthony was the most honest and straightforward person I met with and listened to me to get me what I wanted/needed, not what they wanted to sell me. Others were really pushy with what they wanted. AFter the sale, Anthony's communication was excellent. The install went perfect - on time, at cost and exactly what they promised. Just had a very large system installed on my home. Extremely happy with every element of my experience with Aneva. A little background first. I have some exposure to the solar industry from my day job in a related electrical firm. There are basically two types of companies you'll run into: sales companies that sell your contract or use subcontractors to install, and locally owned business like Avena that have their own crews and stand behind their work. Only use the latter. Never lease, always purchase. There is great financing out there, so either pay in cash or use the solar finance firms. You can't lose either way. I took three bids. All we locally owned companies with their own installation and service people. Avena was competitive, all the prices were in the same ballpark. Difference with Avena was first the sales engineer that worked with me, Mark. No hard sell or smoke and mirrors. He sent an itemized quote so I knew exactly what I was buying, easy to understand. Next Avena only only offered quality equipment, no Chinese commodity panels or components. I think this is extremely important as these systems should last twenty years or more. I chose Mark's recommendation, LG. That's the same company that makes the TVs and appliances, someone that will stand behind their warranty. In fact all components come with a 20 year warranty. After I placed the order I was introduced to Buddy the PM and Ed that ran the project at my home. All the guys were awesome. During the project I asked for a few changes, no problem. They made the changes, no push back. The owner Anthony even came out several time to ensure I was happy with the project. My system went active today and my meter is running backwards! Because I went with financing I will be cash positive in year one, this is a no brainer. Do note that installing solar on your home is a large project. I needed HOA, APS and city approval.
