From what I see its illegal (see picture) or they have tried to charge be $50 for a $200 bill and today 6 cavities for my son, told my wife that our $360 bill would be an exta $100 to use a debit card. With all the choices for a dentist out here, why get overcharged. Again, not a lawyer, but everything I looked up what they are doing looks allegidy/borderline illegal. Unethical at the least. We won't be back. Which is unfortunate because they are a decent dentist. But between the fees and the upcharges I can find a different dentist. Just my opinion.

Hygienist was great - got the job done quickly and with a smile (non-judgmental of my lack of flossing) Unfortunately, both my husband and I have quite a bit of "work" to get done, but their pricing was competitive and they gave us time to chat it over before making our next appointment. After a time we decided that as much as we liked him, we needed to find something closer so we didn't lose a day each time we needed out teeth cleaned, or in case of emergencies. Ocotillo was considered because of their stellar reviews, so I set up appointments for my wife and daughter to get their teeth cleaned. They were my Guinee pigs before I went there myself. :-) They reported back to me that the girl at the front desk argued with my wife that she needed to have my daughters payment run through the insurance company even though my daughter wasn't covered as such and my wife was totally willing to pay cash. As soon as my wife finally gave in out of frustration and told her to give it a shot the girl acted all offended and said she couldn't do that as it is considered insurance fraud. This is what my wife had been trying to tell her so she was very confused. The girl then got into a dispute with my daughter over her age, refusing to believe her when she said she was 22. Not really sure what that was about. As soon as my wife went in, the dentist looked at the x-rays and without even looking into her mouth began telling her she needed a deep cleaning, crowns replaced, implants done etc etc. Our other dentist was REALLY good, and never tried to upsell us for things we didn't need. He even yanked her chain about doing cosmetic work she told him in no uncertain terms she wasn't interested in, asking her when he could get started. She was not happy. So I cancelled the follow up appointment she made as they told her they didn't have time to do all the necessary work that day and made an appointment with our previous dentist for a second opinion. If he says she needs that work done then fine, but as she goes to the dentist on a regular basis I would be shocked to find out that in the six months since her last visit her teeth have staged a revolt and need to be subdued to the tune of thousands of dollars.

I have delta dental, which is a great insurance that covers cleanings 100%, all X-rays, and 100% of emergency crowns and dental work. This office tried telling me that the cleaning would be over 100$'s because of the gingivitis. I told them that I just needed a basic cleaning and they would not do that. I scheduled my initial exam (pretty easy to schedule in a timely manner) and had full mouth xrays and a dental cleaning - and Dr Condie dud the cleaning! She said for new patients, she likes to do the initial cleaning so she can get to know the patient and their teeth. Really great dentist and an excellent staff and office support.
