Dr. Tanner Goodman is running a great practice with his brother! It was easy to schedule a checkup and cleaning for the next day, and front desk is available on the phone for questions. Dr. Goodman was so personable and can put anyone at ease about being at the dentist's office. One thing I very much liked was that he said he's conservative when it comes to doing and redoing fillings, so he won't do the work just for the sake of doing it, which I appreciated because I've had dentists go to work just to avoid a minute risk, and I hated that. The only thing that stuck out to me was the dental hygienist telling me to touch my tonsils to check for stones, and I later learned that no one should do this at all! Do not touch your tonsils with your bare hands! Otherwise, she gave me a gentle and thorough cleaning that felt great afterwards. read more

Been feeling for a while that my dentist doesn't have my best interest in the forefront of the care I have been receiving. I came in the last time and had a question about a groove I was feeling in one of my molars. Turned out it was a crack running from where I bite down to the gum-line. He offered to fix it. I asked how long something like this would have been there and he said it varied. We looked up pictures from previous visits and the crack was there in all of them. Repeatedly in such a hurry to get to the next patient to keep raking in money, he wasn't ever giving my teeth even a good "once over". Go elsewhere. That's my advice. read more

I usually love going to this dentist but today I walked out in tears. They waited until AFTER I was done with my cleaning to tell me that my insurance didn't cover my cleaning and I had to pay $63 out of pocket. I wasn't ready to do that. Then I go to pay and I can't find my debit card. I was in tears and nobody in the front office cared. They just wanted my money (that I didn't even have). Why wait until after my appointment?!!! Great dental office. We've been patients of Dr. Brian Goodman since 2007. He is good at what he does, warm & kind with a gentle hand. From the front office staff (always friendly) to tech's, they've all been great over the years. Our family's favorite hygienist is Shanda. There is no push for work not needed and work that is needed the doctors will let you know all your options. I saw Dr. Tanner Goodman recently and was very impressed with him also. Long story short I hadn't gone to the dentist in ten years and was scared to because the last time I had waited a while I was so belittled. I went in here and they were so friendly, I've always had super clean teeth, but they talked me into coming back regularly. Goodman Dental in Queen Creek is by far the best dental practice I've ever been to. It is very nicely kept, designed, up to date with nice equipment, and family oriented. The front office staff is always so friendly and on top things. They walked me through all the insurance questions I had very professionally and accurately. I'm also amazed that they have always known me and seem to know everyone else who walks in by face. Everyone gets pleasant hellos and goodbyes (why is this so rare?). I've been to two different hygienists here who were both excellent and worked with my teeth-sensitivities delicately. Both have worked there for a long time which speaks volumes. On referral from my wife (who raved about him), I saw Dr. Brian Goodman for my exams and to get some work done. From the second you meet him he makes you feel very comfortable. He's incredibly skillful, honest, and patient. He listened well to my concerns and helped guide me towards a treatment plan that worked for me. What I appreciated most was his conservative approach to treatment. (I've been to a couple of dentists before who have tried to push unnecessary work, I never had this concern with him). I am very happy with my teeth, and unfortunately our family is moving out of the area, so I won't be able to see Dr. Goodman regularly. I never thought that I'd "miss my dentist", but I will. Today was supposed to be the day that my permanent teeth were delivere,unfortunately the lab did not deliver but that's OK because they're doing the best they can with what they have. Dr. Goodman took the time to take my temp teeth off and replace them at no charge to me which was above and beyond my expectations. Dr. G answered all my questions and did everything correct I cannot tell you how it is like going home when you go to this place of people are all nice do the best I! His staff is like family like you go there and you feel like you're at home and he always makes you feel comfortable. Dr Tanner is the most creative professional person I've ever been around he can create anything with your teeth even when you think there's a problem he has a solution no matter what he hast to do to get it he makes it work and I'm very proud to say this is my dentist and the whole group his brother the other dentist and himself are one of the best in the nation I love them so much and they've done so much for me it has changed my life and also my families life having their teeth done here I have several friends that go here and they all love it thank you Dr Tanner and Coleman Dental you all are wonderful! read more

I needed to find a dentist since I am new to the area. I have good dental insurance (PPO). I did some research and decided to come here. Dental office was modern, professional and nice staff. I had my xrays done, dentist comes in and says my teeth look healthy. The dental hygienist came in to do my cleaning (which I have done approx 4 times a year). She stated it would cost $56.00 out of pocket. I was surprised since I never have paid out of pocket for a cleaning. She stated it was a "medium cleaning" so my insurance picked up $124.00 and I had the remaining amount due. Since I was there, I figured why not and gave permission to continue. She then had me sign a release of liability document stating I was not getting a deep cleaning. (?) I signed it and we continued. When I went to pay and reschedule an appointment, I was told that I would no longer be allowed to continue as a patient unless I had at least one deep cleaning per year. The cost for my upper and lower teeth would be $1,324.00. My out of pocket cost would be $554.88. I explained I am on a fixed income, and asked if I could just continue with the medium cleaning. She said no - that I was a liability. I asked if I could sign the release to continue to be a patient, and her response was no. I am writing this because the office should inform new patients that these are their "rules". I never would have wasted my time in waiting to be a new patient, filling out forms, xrays, ect., if I knew this was their policy. I am a retired federal law enforcement officer and have lived all over the country. I have never encountered this with a dentist or other medical personnel. I have declined shingles and flu vaccines and my doctor has not kept me from being their patient. I am assuming that it must be a way of making more money. After all these years, my teeth are still intact and healthy without deep cleanings. Again, whatever their rules, I should have been told when making the new appointment. The out of pocket costs were just something I could not afford. I live in a senior community with approximately 1500 homes and am active in volunteer work with the town. The next time I am asked for a referral for a good dentist, you can rest assured that I will tell them about my experience - and getting the "boot" to not come back because I could not adhere and/or afford their out of pocket costs for a "deep cleaning". read more

After being screwed over by a North Scottsdale dentist (yes, I should have known better) I was on the hunt for a new dentist. A broken tooth forced me to find one pretty quickly. A woman I work with referred me here, assuring me he was a great dentist who would only do what was absolutely necessary. Still battered from my last experience, but in enough pain to have no choice, I skeptically went here to get help. I was put at ease almost instantly. After an exam, the dentist went through all my options, from lowest cost to most expensive, and gave me all the pros and cons of each choice. I was not pressured into the most expensive option. They worked out the best possible deal with my insurance to make sure I paid as little as possible. I have had a string of unfortunate incidents requiring more dental work in the past 6 months than I have in my entire life prior to them and yet I haven't had to sell my car to pay for it all. They have very reasonable prices and will work with your needs. Everyone in the office is amazingly friendly, kind, and compassionate. I won't go as far as saying I enjoy going to the dentist (let's face it, it's still an awful experience no matter what) but if I HAVE to go, I'm going to keep going here. I drive all the way from North Scottsdale for this office and it's worth it. read more

The dentist is not my favorite place to go, but If I have to go, I want it to be here. The office is very clean and pleasing to the eye. The dental chairs massage your back while you are getting your dental work done. There is never a long wait when you arrive and if they have a scheduling problem they call and let you, so you do not have to wait. Everyone that works there is super nice. Hands down the best dentist I've been to since I moved to Arizona 36 years ago. I've been seeing Dr. Goodman for many years now and would recommend him to anyone in need of a good and caring dentist. It took me a long time to find a dentist that understood my issues with being hard to numb and also took care of my actual needs instead of trying to say I needed a lot of work that I didn't really need. My 12 year-old son and I just got back from getting his five remaining baby teeth extracted. My son was a hot mess and terrified to get the Novacaine shot. My family has been going here 5+ years. This is by far the BEST dentist office we have used. Here is why: The CLEANINGS are awesome! I've been to plenty of other offices where the hygenists do a mediocre job on the cleanings. Dr. Goodman's hygenists spend a lot of time getting your teeth nice and clean. The SCHEDULING is awesome! Dr. Goodman is the first dentist that has made it a priority to get me in for my regular 6-month cleanings. With other dentists I would go for years without getting a cleaning... However, Dr Goodman's office won't let that slide. In fact, as soon as you are done with your appointment they pull up a calendar and schedule your next appointment. As the appointment date approaches they start sending reminders by email and text. If you don't reply to the reminders they call you. If you don't answer... they call again... and again. In short, they will hunt you down and drag you in if need be. This is a huge PLUS for me because I don't particularly enjoy going to the dentist... but I need to. They make it easy. All the STAFF here are awesome! Dr Goodman is great, but his staff are fantastic. They are always super positive and friendly. Great people. read more

I cannot even provide this dental center with one star however, yelp forces you to add a star. This dental provider is not worth a star because the people that work there are rude and do not value customer service. When you call the dental office and sit on hold they claim that their mission is to provide dental services that are cost effective. I paid over $4200 for a service there was approximately $500 remaining that I was told would be covered by insurance. I was also told this dental provider was in network when I was treated. When the remaining $500 was not paid by insurance I spent two hours out of my day speaking with an insurance company only to find out Goodman dental was not in my network and the dentist office did not provide the information that the insurance company needed to pay my claim. I called to speak with Goodman dental staff. Mary the business manager was rude and needs training in customer service. When I contacted my insurance company yet again, they stated they had already closed the file and said due to the pandemic they did not open the file from the dental office. This was clearly an insurance error due to the pandemic when I spoke again with Goodman dental to try and work something out, clearly insurance should have paid this and it was not my fault as a patient, I already had paid $4200, Mary was rude and matter of fact they will not work with me. My family has been going to Goodman dental for years and will not be returning after this incident. read more

Goodman dental center is always amazing I have been going there for a very long time. My son Isaiah loves going there. Excellent and honest dentist and staff. We moved away and still drive 78 miles every six months to come back for our check-ups--that's how much we like Dr Goodman and his staff. We receive exceptional care, and only the services that we need it, when we need it. The cleanings and exams/inspections and are very thorough. I'm a cancer survivor, and my oncologist is not as thorough as the hygienist and dentist are in their examinations--it's not just about teeth here. Rarely, do we need additional fillings or crowns, but when we do we know it is because it is necessary--NOT because they are padding a bill for profits as our experience has been with other dentists. The quality of care is exceptional, the staff is professional and we trust we are receiving the best care here. It's worth the long drive. read more
