The leak was a slow trickle going into the flat below so needed to be fixed before it became a major issue. I explained the situation to their office staff and asked if they would need access to the flat below. The resolutely said they would not require access to the flat below. The plumber turned up, took one look at bathroom and said he couldn't do anything without access to the flat below and promptly left, having spent literally under two minutes on site. I call again to explain the situation and they offer to send the plumber around again. This time I coordinate access to the flat below. The plumber comes around, takes one look at the flat below and promptly says the issue is leaky sealant around the bath. Clearly proving the plumber did not require access to the flat below. The plumber then left stating he didn't have the equipment to complete the job (so a plumber rocks up without bathroom sealant). A third call to this clown show and the plumber finally comes around with sealant and doesn't ask for access to the flat below and finally replaces the faulty sealant. Total charge £492 for a 30 minute job and a tube of sealant that costs around £10. DO NOT TOUCH THESE SCAMMERS.

I specifically asked, and was specifically told, that the plumber would call me in advance of turning up to the site. He did not, so when I arrived, he already had his 'machine' out, so they could bump up the charges, when in fact, having had a similar problem two months ago, I knew no machine was required. This was a simple job, that required either a half decent plunger, or feeding thru a short pipe length to unblock the paper blockage. I know how this works, and of course we will never use this firm again, nor recommend it. The 'transparent pricing' claim is irrelevant, the operation is like a scam. Cost £167 for 30 minutes work, with maybe 3 minutes using his 'machine'. Our regular plumber (currently away) charged £50+vat, for exactly the same task, and spent longer doing a more professional job by lifting up the outside drains to check all clear. Oh, and no 'machine' was needed.

He insisted ahead of time that I keep the kids out of the house for the day and he reconfirmed the 10am visit at 8am on the planned day. So, I sent my wife out for the day with the kids and waited, and waitied and waited... Not only did he not show up, he refused to pick up the phone and gave no explanation whatsoever. He proved himself to be completely unreliable and unprofessional. DO NOT RELY ON HIM! Pay a little more and use a reputable firm instead. He made me send my kids away for the day on a weekend and left me hanging alone at home. The least he could have done is let me know during the morning that something came up and that he wasn't going to be able to make it. In this case I would not have written this review and may have even given him a second chance if the reason was genuine. Just another cowboy - use him only if you have time to waste!
