Pat is awesome with all dogs. She treats them as if they are her own. She's always busy and that is the telling tale about her.

I am in love with my puppy. OK, it was a 5 hour round trip for me to get to Pets N Pals, but they…read morewere totally worth it. I talked with multiple people before I got there, and what they did was get to know me so they could find me a puppy who fit my lifestyle and personality. As a result, my puppy and I are a good match for each other: he is perfectly happy in a condo and there is enough space for him when he gets the zoomies. He also has a laid back personality which matches my/my neighbors's needs. They even tried to find me a dog who would match my musical hobbies (yes, music soothes him!). They even sent me home with a puppy pack to help him settle in and keep interested in food during the transfer to a new home, such a stressful time for puppies, and check in to see if he is settling in successfully. My little puppy is a regular member of the clean plate club, he is a James Taylor fan, he is a very chill little man, and settles near me when I play guitar.

They are now advertising a self-serve dog wash station, and when I called in I was told it was $20…read moreper use. I was expecting their set up to be comparable to other $20 self-serve places I have used and it was a huge disappointment. I've seen places offer towels, brushes, scrubbers, 10+ shampoo options, conditioners, nail clippers, grooming scissors, and had folks working there just to help and monitor the tubs specifically - all for $19. While their set up is decent - $20 is an insane price for a single use. No towels, 4 shampoo options, a handful of brushes, and the two tubs with dryers. I'd recommend going to Tractor Supply in Waynesboro for $10 with essentially the same set up for half the cost. The most I'd pay for their set up would be $15 just because the equipment is nicer.

I will never take my little dog back to that place again. When I picked him he had a huge gash on…read morehis head. It was so bad I had to take him to the vet to make sure it didn't become infected.Paws and claws tried telling me it was because he had loose skin.I asked the vet about this and he said lots of dogs have loose skin and he has seen poodles with skin so flabby you could grab the neck and pull it around their face.My little dogs skin isn't even that loose even though it is saggy. My advice from the vet was to find a new groomer and I did.I took my dog somewhere else to try and fix the botched up hair job and to help hide his injury and guess what no cuts he looked wonderful and they said they had no trouble at all grooming him.According to them you have to be experienced at grooming a poodle because they have thick cottony hair that grabs and the skin needs to be pulled tout while using clippers to prevent injury . Grooming a poodle is much different than grooming other dogs.Obviously Paws and Claws didn't know what they were doing. His skin was completely peeled back from the top of his head and now he shivers and cries every time we get to a groomers parking lot.If another groomer cut his hair with no problem why couldn't they?I will NEVER go back there and anyone who has a dog with loose skin shouldn't either unless they want a dog without ears and toes.
