(Check-In is at 3pm, Check-Out is at 11am.) Loved that there is a pool (no hot tub) and a nice workout facility. The rooms were modern with smart TVs (helllllo Netflix), the were well kept and overall comfy-- with AC that could get the room as cool as we wanted and water pressure/hot water that fit the bill. The staff was friendly. There as free wi-fi, too. But the coffee situation was less than ideal. (There weren't even enough kcups for two.) Additionally, I wouldn't really call the restaurant a restaurant-- but it does offer a bar that would hit the spot. Overall, I'd stay at this Courtyard by Marriot again!

As a note, the conference area is under construction but they did a nice job of making sure it didn't impact us (besides s set of closed restrooms). The room was an average hotel room - typical 3 stars. My only complaint was the heating/air in the room. My first night it was too cold in the room but not enough for the heater to be turned on. So I turned the system off only to have another duct to continue to blow freezing air. There is not much around but the on site restaurant (especially if you shuttled in and no access to a car). I wrote a separate review but it was not the best in my opinion.

Unfortunately, David's travel arrangements were compromised, and he was unable to make the trip. I've already booked a make-up trip in December, primarily to see his 96 year-old grandfather. Although you couldn't do cartwheels in this suite, it was very roomy and comfortable. And with 2 bathrooms, Gayle and I each picked one. The spare bedroom became a place to store or suitcases (and repack). We slept well in our bedroom and spend a lot of time in the living room, largely catching up on all of our volunteer work back home. There's also a nice small kitchen, which makes this and other suites a good choice for extended or larger family stays. Front desk staff were very engaged and keen to make sure we had a nice stay. The "free hot breakfast" was relatively standard, but tasty. I especially appreciated that coffee was available in the Lobby at all hours and that the breakfast food was out earlier than the stated time. This hotel is relatively new and has worn its age very well so far. Parking was free and plentiful and there was easy access to US 30. Having also stayed at the Fairfield Inn sister hotel, I would probably choose this TownePlace depending on the price comparisons at the time.

The upstairs hallways and rooms were a little disappointing in terms of niceness, but everything I needed was there. I would give it 4 stars based on the above. However, I had some problems with my door code to get in on the first day. When I called to get it worked out, the employee gave me the master code. Obviously, yes, I wanted into the building and my room. But it's never acceptable for a guest at a hotel to have a code for other rooms. If relying on a locking system like this, there needs to be a secure way to solve problems without giving out the master code. For this reason, I have to deduct another star.

Yes I collect Marriott points, but my Hotel decision is still based on price, of which my Hilton membership hasn't matched for awhile. I booked a large King that featured a large (and comfortable) bed for me and a weird trundle in the next room. David ended up sleeping on the couch part as it was large and arguably more comfortable than the pull out mattress. As we have different body clocks, deciding which lights to have on or off was sometimes a challenge, but we made it work. There was also a nice desk set up where I parked my laptop, including for a non-profit Board meeting via Zoom. Other Observations: - The property is well located in this area with multiple hotels. US 30 access was easy, and the back road to Duff was another convenient option. Easy Hotel parking. - Temperature Control: OK - WiFi/Internet: No issues - "Storage": Good options and we didn't have trip over anything. - Bathroom: Clean and a bit narrow. Shower water temp was fine, but pressure was underwhelming. - Breakfast: We only got coffee and an early morning snack as we were taking my Dad out to Breakfast. - Coffee: I wish they offered coffee throughout the day and evening. - Lounge/Lobby: Roomy and well used by other guests. They also have a nice-looking pool that we didn't use. - Elevator: We walked down from the 3rd Floor and took the elevator up. It was almost always there when we pressed the button. - Front Desk Personnel: Friendly and helpful but occasionally hard to find. - Housekeeping. Almost invisible.
