Serena has been there to help me both times and is absolutely wonderful and knowledgeable. She knows what she's doing and gives just the right tips to make your experience that much better! Absolutely love the experience. I fell asleep this time being it wasn't my first time now and she said I got good REM sleep during my 90 minute float. I also have done the infrared sauna twice. And hydro massage bed is a perfect way to end your spa day off right! Hours of pure bliss

I saw a deal on Groupon for 60 minute floating therapy along with a 15 minute enhancement. I'll begin with the staff. The staff members were very friendly and they greeted me upon entry and asked if I had an appointment. Once I confirmed my appointment with them, They offered me a shower cap and then one of the girls immediately walked me to the spa side of the salon. I'll be honest I forgot their names but they were friendly and nice nonetheless. Next is the place itself. The place itself is very very clean. I can tell that this place is fairly new especially since this particular location was hard to find because there is no sign called "the float spa". This location is actually next to Raymour and Flanigan in the Deptford town center plaza and you have to enter through the "Hello gorgeous" hair salon. once I saw the salon I actually did see a sign in the window but it can easily be missed by someone who is not as familiar with the area. My float pod was very clean and I can tell that they actually do clean in between guests. The lady who helped me was very informative and she provided me with everything that I needed for my stay including ear plugs and a cushioned floating neck rest which was very needed because I cannot flow on my own lol The floating experience is self was very peaceful and I actually did end up falling asleep lol it was very clean in there and it was very warm and comforting especially with the music and the lights. I cannot do lights off in there whatsoever because I am afraid of the dark lol After the float therapy I tried to shower and wash off the salt but that was a fail. I still ended up with salt in the crevices so I ended up showering again once I got home. after showering I was guided to the Hydro massage bed for 15 minutes as an enhancement and that was just the icing on the cake! I understand that this place is still fairly new but one thing I would recommend is to have an actual swimming cap maybe or something to protect our hair because not everybody wants to get their hair wet. the shower cap was a great gesture but still got a little bit of water in my hair. other than that my stay here was excellent and this place truly deserves five stars from me!

Be aware that this is NOT a spa facility, so if you are looking for fluffy robes, herb tea, new age music and/or "pampering," this probably won't be your kind of place. The partners who own this facility design custom float tanks for individuals and business as their primary business, and they maintain this tank at the back of their workshop, located in a residential area, in an old firehouse, for people to try out. As one of the few people on earth, apparently, who hates to be fussed over, this arrangement was ideal for me. The one thing I DO care about is the cleanliness of the tank itself, which was both modern and pristine. The tank is housed in a fully renovated suite at the back of the building, complete with shower and bathroom facilities. The owner gave me a full rundown of how it works, answered all my questions, and even entertained my husband and allowed me some extra free time in the tank. For me, it was a life changing experience. I highly recommend The Float Spa for anyone interested in floating, as long as you are not expecting a lot of fancy atmosphere.

1st time trying a float tank. I've hear good reviews on them and was curious to try it myself. I…read morewas recommended by my cousin who swore that this place would help with body aches and pains. An appointment was scheduled for me and on the Sunday of my appointment Colleen greeter us and explained everything in great detail to us. You have to shower and wash your hair prior to getting in the tank and you have the option of going in your swimsuit or birthday suit, the choice is yours. You have a private room with a shower stall and a float pod. They provide the shampoo, conditioner (use after you get out the pod), ear plugs, towels and floatation devices for you to use in the pod. Now once in the pod, that's when it became tricky for me...I couldn't get myself in a comfortable position for the longest. Most people lay on their back and are comfortable that way with a floaty behind their head. Me on the other hand found my comfortable position to be on my stomach, resting my chin on a floaty with my arms extended 2 fingers locked. This was the best for me!! While trying to figure out my comfort position, I did begin to move, extend, and stretch the part of my body that I was having discomfort in and since then that part of my body has been feeling really well. I'm able to move it and everything with it being stiff and very painful before. I'd definitely go back. Colleen was helpful and answered all questions that I had. The one thing that I didn't like was the slimy feeling your skin has when you're in the float. Also, make sure you bring your own soap and things and shower VERY WELL when done so as not to bring salt with you.

Bottom Line: Great service and an incredibly relaxing experience…read more I had been wanting to try floating for many years and I finally gave it a whirl at Urban Float on a cold, rainy Saturday. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helped my husband I feel ready and comfortable for the experience. We started with hot tea in the cozy waiting room before getting a tour of the private float room including instructions on light switches, the shower, tank, etc. As instructed, I took a cool shower and then climbed into the tank, closed the lid, turned off the light and took a very relaxing nap. When I woke up I felt like I had been asleep for hours. I felt incredibly rested and I had no idea what time it was, if the spa was still opened or if everyone had gone home for the night. I felt a little Rip Van Winkle-ish but in a good way. I ended my experience with a hot shower and then a trip to the bathroom to dry my hair. My husband enjoyed more hot tea in front of the soothing fireplace while I dried my hair. The floating tank was much bigger than I expected and I felt entirely comfortable closing the lid. (My car is way more claustrophobic than the float tank.) I am an instant swimmer (just add water) so I didn't have any concerns with laying in the tank. And of course with all of those epsom salts we're all guaranteed to comfortably float in the 10" of water. At the end of the session there was a voice that played over the tank speakers that said my session was over. I didn't hear the voice but when the water started to circulate and filter the movement (and what felt like an infusion of cold water) certainly did wake me up in an instant. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and I look forward to my next float.

They are sold in 60 minute increments but my husband and I both felt 30 or 45 minutes would have been better. You shower before and after so it's time consuming. The floatation pods are in a room with the shower. It seemed private and comfortable. I didn't think I would float (I didn't even have an easy time even in the Dead Sea) but I did and I felt completely supported in the pod. I kept trying to find the most comfortable position straight, star, even side. But even when I found a comfortable position it wasn't comfortable for long. My neck or back or both were uncomfortable. They mention sensory deprivation but you can still see even with the light out and I still heard water moving from other pods and others music from other rooms and found it distracting As a teen in NYC, I used to psycho-energize (I'd always request a water bed and you'd put on pair of headphones & an eye goggles that showed a great sound/light show. I found it much easier to forget my surroundings there + no leaving with wet hair or showering in strange places. The pod music was awful subpar nature 101 stuff. Luckily i only selected with 5 mins at the beginning and end because I couldn't wait for it to stop. I I would have preferred real music or the option to use any of my own. I left a light on very dim in the room. The guy suggested. It made sense but I would have preferred a sensor light that shut off when I closed the pod and turned on when I opened it. The light button inside the pod was too hard to turn on and off and everything is a bit slick. Also it seems the water is cleaned after each use but not fully flushed. Pricing is a little off $90 each or $199 for a monthly one a day. I think about 1/2 that pricing is pushing it., On a whole, I find 15 minutes in a hot tub much quicker & more therapeutic. They are opening 30+ additional locations but we're not sure they'll survive 5 years. We'll check back in 2024 and if they're still open we'll try again!

After a particularly rough few months both mentally and physically, my wife purchased me a total…read morerelaxation package from Groupon for this location, which included a 20 minute infrared sauna, a 60 minute float, and 30 minutes in a zero gravity massage chair. I have floated before and enjoy the experience, so fair or not, I found myself comparing my visit to East Coast Float Spa to my regular float location. Here's my thoughts on the experience. The infrared sauna was just not my thing. The actual room was lovely, but the sauna area was a bit small for me. I don't sauna often, but when I do I like to lay down. The booth was too short to even accommodate my 6'3" frame in a reclining position using the back support against one of the walls. I also whacked my head pretty good when I stood up when my time was up. This was no one's fault but my own, but just another note about the size of the actual sauna booth. The float tub and shower/changing room was perfectly functional and comfortable, and I had a very nice float. Far superior to any float capsule or "tube", this room was long and spacious enough for me to stretch my arms over my head or spread them out to both sides with a few inches to spare in each direction. While this was a very nice float tub, it was very clinical and sterile feeling. This is where my unavoidable comparisons started really piling up. The float tubs at Float NJ in Marlton are just...nicer. There is little to no difference functionally, but there is much more thought behind the aesthetics at Float NJ, and if I'm going somewhere for a total relaxation experience, those things make a difference to me. Finally, after showering off again, I headed to the pot-float room for my zero gravity massage chair time. Good God was that thing amazing! Definitely the highlight of the experience and the perfect way to wrap up my time at East Coast Float Spa. Just a word or warning: if you are claustrophobic, this may not be for you. The chair tilts back and really envelops your arms, legs and even head. It felt pretty amazing for me, but I could see some people have serious, "Nope" moments. So, I very much enjoyed my time at East Coast Float Spa, but I didn't enjoy the main event as much as I do at Float NJ. The staff were all very nice and attentitve and the facility was very clean and well maintained, but given their similar price points, even with East Coast being much closer to me, I don't think I would come here to float again. Those massage chairs on the other hand, I'd pop in there any time for those!

I love the zero…read moregravity chair so much, that I keep going back for more and even purchased my husband a multi-pack gift of chair massages. It's actually helping him with some back problems. East Coast Float staff and facilities deliver a great experience. East Coast is immaculate to the point of being very sterile and sanitary like a hospital, which is a good thing considering you're floating around naked in salt water. Floats for new clients are $65, $75, $85 for a 60 minute, 90 minute, and 2-hour float, respectively. The Zero Gravity chairs are $15 and $20 for 20 minutes and 30 minutes, respectively. Appointments are required for all services. We went for a 90 minute float. In my mind, I thought to myself, "90 minutes, I've gotta be crazy." I did struggle to relax for about the first 15 minutes and wondered how I was going to get through this, but I closed my eyes and before I knew it the float was over and I came out quite relaxed and refreshed. Each float is a private room, with a shower and amenities including shampoo, body wash, etc. You can chose whether you want your float experience in the dark or with light as well as with or without music. I went with lights and music; my husband went with dark and no music (he had done this before). To me darkness and no sound for 90 minutes was a bit daunting. After the float, there is a vanity room to dry your hair, put on makeup etc. There are some great free product to be used including body lotion and special spray for your hair.
