I have been a client of this salon for many years. The salon is refurbished, modern and comfortable. This Asian establishment is in a Black/Hispanic neighborhood, with all Spanish speaking nail techs. Tell me why the large screened entertainment TV is on w/something no one else can comprehend. I am skeptical as heck when it comes to my nails. I'm use to all the frills and superior service when I get my nails done. This salon really surprised me. The nail tech took a picture of what I wanted and created an exact replica. Nail shape is very important to me and all of my nails were even. For 26.00 I plan on coming back! I came across this nail salon after just walking down the block desperately needing my toes done. Off the bat, they are very accommodating. There is very good service here. The girl who did my toes did a good job, but it was when she did my eyebrows that left me pleasantly surprised. As most girls, I don't trust my eyebrows with everyone and a lot of the time I just do them myself. But she asked and I said yes just to try. She shaped my eyebrows exactly how they needed to be shaped. I was not expecting such a great eyebrow job. If I go again, I will be updating this with her name. Update 11/14 I came here for the second time. This time to get two nails fixed (broke them) and a shape and polish change from my previous experience at another nail salon in the area. The girl (not sure of her name) did an amazing job. It was very precise. She made them look like new again. To fix the two broken nails, Polish and shape change was $27. The girls in here were so nice and accommodating. This has officially been made my go-to salon for my brows and nails! read more

Went to this nail salon after another took too long. I was seen immediately and all the technicians seemed nice. The salon is clean with nails being done in the front and pedicures and other services in the back. They also have pricing for kids 12 and under if they want to get something done. Customer service is horrible. They're never welcoming. No one ever greets you at the door. You're made to feel like you're intruding in their space. Some of the girls are extremely lazy and mean!!! You would think they'd want to make money - but apparently not. One of them was talking about how black people steal - which is why they use cheap nail polish. It was unbeknownst to her that I was also black!! Having a manicure and pedicure is supposed to be soothing. I felt anything but relaxed at this joint. Btw - it's also unsanitary. This place was normally my go to but after this experience I will not be returning. The guy that serviced me was great up until two customers walked in and he proceeded to rush to finish me up. The gel polish was lumpy and had gaps in some places and after only having my nails done for a week, two of them broke right off. read more

Never again workers disrespectful bad service my hands hurt so bad after leaving couldn't even do my job braid hair

I went to Steady Nails to get my eyelashes done. I have gotten then done at Steady Nails a few times before. A new lady, Tracey did my cluster(individual) lashes. The cost is $30. Unfortunately, 15 minutes after getting the service done, I had to return to the Nail Salon as both my inner eyelashes were fallen down. Not Good! So I kindly went inside and spoke with the owner, Ruby who was extremely nasty and refused to return my money. As per Ruby she would allow Tracey to fix and re-glue my eyelashes, which I explained did not make sense given the eyelashes had previously been glued on and fallen off. Yet, Ruby continue to be rude and nasty. Let's just say after getting my eyelashes fixed Ruby and Tracey continued to be nasty saying it was impossible for my eyelashes to have fallen out. Needless to say, after getting home about 20 minutes later, the entire eyelash on my right eye fell off. Sad to say, this was a horrible service provided. It was unprofessionally handled by Ruby as the owner, yet, she is a business owner in the African American community. Never again and I would not recommend this Nail Salon to anyone else. read more

If I could give this establishment zero stars, I would. I recently had a horrific encounter. For one, I wasn't welcomed upon entry. Everyone was sitting around, looking like my walking in was a huge inconvenience. I had to ask someone if they would do my nails. One agreed, rather reluctantly, to do my mani and pedi. The pedicure was fine. I almost forgot about how badly I'd been greeted when things began to go totally awry. The manicure. I have a nail that I put acrylic on because it's weaker than my other nails. I asked why she wasn't using the acrylic clipper to cut my nail instead of the toenail clipper she had in her hand. She explained to me that the acrylic clipper would break my nail as delicate as it is. I said ok and let her continue. She then grabbed the acrylic clipper and cut into my nail, breaking it as she had described would happen. Then she looked up at me and the nail she just cracked in half and said, "see?" I started screaming "are you serious?!" I just couldn't believe that after advising me why she wasn't going to use those clippers, that she would deliberately break my nail. Her body language during the remainder of the manicure indicated to me that she wanted me out of her chair as soon as possible. She rushed through it and was very harsh with my hands, like I felt as if she was beating my hands up. I was visibly upset about her cutting my nail which is perhaps why she was so abrasive, but again, I was a customer whose nail she just chopped off. Long story short: DON'T COME HERE. While you may walk out with a decent mani and pedi, you will not be treated with the courtesy and respect befitting your $30, ijs.
