They say you can't rush perfection and I would call my pintail nothing short of perfect. The boat rows nice, motors nice, extremely stable and fun to be in. I recently had the guys at StealthCraft build me a Sniper. The boat is nice but the customer service was so bad it really ruined the experience of getting a new boat. By the time I finally got the boat I was nothing but frustrated. The whole experience was just them saying they were just waiting on one more part and it should be here in a couple days and then the boat will be done. Then they would never call me back. After a couple weeks I would call to check again and it would be a different part that was missing. Because they were so late on the boat they offered to deliver it. They told me they would call me back the next day to set up a date and time I would be home. You guessed it, no call back. Instead one day they just show up at my house with the boat completely unannounced and forgot the anchor and MC numbers. I wasn't home so they told my wife they would bring those back the next day but never showed up or called. Eventually I just had to go to Baldwin to get the rest of my stuff. Then they over charged my credit card and claimed it was a "processing fee that they discussed with my wife" which didn't happen. He refused to reimburse it and said call it a "delivery fee". If you are looking for a new drift boat I would check out the real deals like Adipose, Claka, or Hyde. If you are looking for a Michigan made boat, I would check out Tracy's Custom Riverboats in Newaygo, MI. Their boats are half the weight and they respect their customers. read more

My husband was treated like a criminal and when this was posted to social media it was deleted by stealthcraft. I don't often post reviews about businesses I frequent or products I purchase. I'm proud to say I try make purchases at local, small businesses that serve our local economies. However, the lousy customer service and unprofessional business practice I experienced at Stealthcraft needs to be shared. My experience was similar to the Better Business Burrough review posted by Jason T. dated 2/8/21 (LINK HERE). I hired Stealthcraft to install a specific brand of winch on my boat. With my first call to Stealthcraft they confirmed they had the winch I wanted in stock and could install it. A few days later I dropped off my boat at their shop. They said they were busy and ask for two weeks to complete the work (probably an 8 hour job). I said two weeks was OK. I asked again if they had the winch I requested in stock and they confirmed they did. They provided an estimate to do the work and a written invoice with a completion date (pic attached). I frequently pass their lot and for 12 days there was no evidence the boat had moved or had any work done. On the promised completion date I called and they apologized. They were very busy and would need another week to complete the work. I agreed. During the phone call I asked again if they had the winch in stock and if they didn't complete the work within the next week, then would they sell the winch to me so I could install it myself. They confirmed they had the winch and agreed to sell it to me if they didn't complete the work within the week. One week later I stopped at the Stealthcraft shop to pick up my boat. It was in the same location I had left it three weeks before. I went to the stores desk and told them I was going to take the boat and asked if they would provide a quote to buy the winch they had in stock. This was the fifth time I had communicated with them since my original contact, and I had received their confirmation on three separate occasions they had the winch in stock. The gentlemen at the desk passed my off to the shop foreman. The shop foreman asked me to step back in the office to discuss the job. A man stepped out of the office who I assume was Mike the owner. He asked which boat was mine. I described the boat, then he said, " is it a Lund"? I said yes, which was my mistake, it's a Lowe. I was so frustrated at that point I confused the two L brands. Mike began to question me like I had no idea what I was talking about. I showed Mike the invoice and I asked again if they had the winch in stock. His shop foreman confirmed they didn't. At this point Mike began to berate me like I was lying. He said they could never do this work on short notice, then asked me why I was behind the stores desk (remember, I was asked to step into the office). Mike asked me to step outside with him. I told him if I walked out the door I had nothing else to say and he would loose my business. I passed Mike and his foreman in the parking lot and they flagged me down. Mike said in a very accusing tone, "that boats a Lowe, not a Lund". Again, he berated me and said they would never have signed up for the job in such a short period of time. Again, I showed him the invoice they had provided and asked if he was accusing me of lying? Then he replied, "it's a holiday weekend and they could never be expected to do this work in such a short period of time". Never once did he apologize or recognize how bad he was treating a customer and how unprofessional he was acting. He told me to get my boat off his lot, which I was happy to do. I have no idea if Stealthcraft makes a good product, nor do I care. I have never been treated so poorly and unprofessionally as a customer and I can confirmed the comments from Jason T. in his Better Business Bureau post, "Mike, the owner, is a compulsive liar. He will lie about everything at every step of the process. If you catch him in a lie and call him out, he will yell, swear, and blame you". I recently took delivery of my Stealthcraft power drifter and wanted to share the experience. First, did it take too long to get my boat? Yes, it took considerably longer than originally expected. The main reasons for the delay were: (1) Stealthcraft builds a top-quality product that is in high demand, (2) each boat is built by hand to customer specifications and (3) 2020-2021 supply chain issues impacted many of the suppliers, slowing the process. Was it worth the wait? It absolutely was!! While the wait was tough, once my boat went to production it was all about making sure my build was perfect. I received numerous calls with detail questions and suggestions for improvement on my boat. They wanted to ensure the boat was built exactly like I wanted. Mike and his staff were very responsive throughout the process. Knowing what I know now I would definitely make the same decision again. My boat is awesome! read more

I've owned several Stealthcraft boats and don't ever see myself going to another builder, I make my living as a river guide and own one of the largest sleds they have built as well as a 16' super fly for the smaller waters and love both of them. By far the worst company I have ever had to deal with...EVER! The owner, Mike, is a compulsive liar. If he's talking, he's lying. When he says your boat is almost finished, that means they probably just started on it. When you get the boat, if something goes wrong, he will blame everything on you. They will not take responsibility for anything. When fishing on hot days, the aluminum floor started buckling and popping the welds that held it down due to the aluminum trying to expand. After several months of welds popping the floor would buckle a couple inches, which was very irritating when trying to walk around and the floor is making very loud noises as it pops up and down. I wouldn't normally write a bad review for something like that, but Mike tried to blame it on me! Said I must have hit something. Hitting something wouldn't have caused the issue I just described. If you have to send your boat back for warranty, make sure to check the hours on the motor and photograph every inch of the boat like I did, because they may use your boat like they did mine. Also, make sure you plan on being without your boat for many months. I understand that things go wrong in any business and I am understanding, always giving the benefit of the doubt. I am not a complainer or poster of negative comments. I just expect the business to level with me and be honest. This experience was so bad I feel like I need to warn other potential buyers. If I could do it all over again, I would gladly pay much more to deal with another company. read more

The above reviews are entirely accurate! I made the horrible mistake of trying to have him do a custom build on a boat. After I finally got the boat, 9 months late and after a great deal of unpleasant contacts, it was delivered with the tongue of the trailer bent and damaged wiring of the trailer. On my FIRST use, the seat post mount tore lose, the rear deck began to separate from the stern, the downrigger mount started to crack loose, and the trolling motor mount began to crack loose. I bring these up and he has the gall to suggest the problem is that I wanted custom things placed. What kind of a boat maker can't even mount a 70hp trolling motor or a downrigger with an 8 lb ball? He had the equipment there and knew the exact weight. The "livewell" is simply an unfinished hole that drains into the bottom of the boat and you have to bilge it out. He has described the rear deck separating as simply "cosmetic"--I'm not even sure the boat is safe. Never give this company money. read more
