As gay baths go this is one of the best, Good space, good crowds, lots of action. I only wish they would get the old hot tub working.

Steamworks Seattle Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Steamworks Seattle

Is it cool to come in solo with the intent of just watching?

Definitely. Lots of people do that.

    So they serve alcohol?

    No.

Is this a strip club or what from I've read in the reviews seems like a brothel club with men n women? Is that correct or what

This is a gay sex club for men to meet and have sex with other men. It is not a brothel, you do not pay for sexual activities. You pay to enter and reserve a locker, and a private room if you want one.

    Is this for woman too?

    No.

Is it gonna be uncomfortable to go in as a person who has never been to places like this before?? Do you have anyone who can show newcomers around?

You should be fine. The club is very dimly lit, so that allows you to be "anonymous" to a certain extent. Yes, if our clerk has time they might give you a quick tour of the place. But if you come on a weekend when we're busy, you'll need to feel…

I noticed on the Steamworks general website that there are 3 Steamworks locations listed, and Seattle isn't one of them. The Seattle Steamworks website also appears to be down. Has the Seattle location closed?

We have not closed. There's been a realignment of the businesses, so we are no longer associated with the Chicago, Berkeley, and Vancouver clubs.…

Is it still a cash only payment or are select cards accepted for payment?

For tonight only cash payment is accepted. Hopefully we get our new credit card readers sometime tomorrow or by next week at the latest.

So, a vaccine card is good enough (Pfizer - 2nd booster)?

We aren't requiring vaccine proof to enter anymore.

If you have a negative COVID test do you still need a vaccination card? Visiting from out of town and wanted to stop and check this place out...

No. But the test must include: your full name, the test result (negative, obv), test date (can't be older than 3 days), and the testing clinic or organization.

How does one go about obtaining membership here?

You purchase in person at the door.

Are married men allowed into the club. And what are the current hours of operation. Getting conflicting info. I see open Monday and Thursday's and on other parts of the site it says 24 hrs?

Sure. 24/7 as far as I know. I was there Black Friday afternoon and enjoyed the ultra clean facilities and amenities so much I bought a 6 month membership. Day rates available too. Met a couple like minded guys, enjoyed the videos and I’ll be coming…

What is the age range and do people of different ages (young, older, etc) tend to attend at certain times of the day?

Generally we get older/middle-aged guys during the day and younger guys at night. 18 to 98 we like to say.

Is this place Crossdresser friendly? Or do all customers have to wear masculine clothes prior to entering?

If you rent a private room here, you're welcome to wear whatever you want inside of it. However, we encourage a dress-down policy in the public areas of the club (most patrons are naked with just a towel around their waist). Also, this is a mens…

I never been to a bathhouse before does everyone walk around in a towel Does everyone walk around in a towel?

    Also shower slippers, glass needles.

How long has this place been around?

The Steamworks group has been operating at 1520 Summit Avenue since 2008. The building has been a men's bathhouse since about 1980.

    Is the building air conditioned?

    Yes, in the summer.

**Déjà Vu: A Monument to Elegance, Mystery, and the Most Unshakable Social Paradox in History**…read more From the moment you cross the threshold of Déjà Vu, reality itself begins to shimmer--because this is not just **a club**. No, this is an **institution**, a **masterpiece of entertainment**, a place where neon dreams take shape and sophistication mingles effortlessly with revelry. The ambiance? **Flawless.** It is the perfect blend of sultry mystique and uninhibited joy, a sanctuary where every detail--from the lighting to the music--has been calibrated for maximum awe. The air itself feels electrified, humming with the energy of an environment designed to captivate, tantalize, and transport patrons into another dimension of delight. The performers? **Spectacular.** Graceful, commanding, and positively magnetic, these women do not simply perform--they **embody glamour**. Their presence is an art form, a breathtaking display of talent, charm, and undeniable confidence that turns every performance into an event. They **own the stage**, and they **own the moment**, weaving an intoxicating spell that keeps audiences transfixed. And yet--**AND YET**--beneath the layers of elegance and entertainment, beneath the shimmering lights and dazzling performances, there lies one of the **greatest paradoxes of modern civilization:** **Only women work here, and only men are customers.** Yes, that's right. Not one man behind the bar. Not a single male performer. Not a lone gentleman in the wings ensuring operations run smoothly. It is a world meticulously crafted by women, flawlessly executed by women, brought to life by **women who command every inch of this establishment**. And yet--**the audience is exclusively male**. Think about it. Let it settle in. The very structure of this grand institution hinges on **two distinct forces**--one group dazzling, performing, managing, and shaping the experience, and another group sitting in eager reverence, witnessing it all unfold. It is an unshakable truth that **should** make sense, and yet somehow **does not**. Does Déjà Vu operate in a realm outside conventional understanding? Have they unlocked the secret to **an entertainment dynamic so defined, so consistent, that it defies natural deviation?** There are no rogue occurrences, no anomalies to disrupt the balance--it remains a firm reality, a phenomenon as predictable as gravity yet just as mysterious. Could it change? Perhaps. But should it? **Absolutely not.** Because Déjà Vu has perfected its formula--a symphony of art, allure, and inexplicable logic that stands **unquestioned and unparalleled.** Five stars? No. Déjà Vu deserves a **Nobel Prize in Social Dynamics.**

I parked in the parking right outside the club and the owner of the liquor store next to the club comes out and starts yelling some ethnic slurs. And told me to park at the paint store, which was almost empty. So it didn't feel safe or legal to park there. Once you get into the club, the hustle starts. And ALL the girls are there to hustle. They are all very forceful, and some of them can get downright rude. If they ask you if you want them to show you around, they will get to sit in the dance area and just start dancing on you and won't stop until you say stop. And as soon as they sit on you, the timer starts, so be careful of this hustle. Another hustle is how they price the rooms. All the girls will say lets get a 15 minute room for $30. They purposely say it this way because that's how the hustle starts. They will keep trying to get you into the room but they don't tell you that the room is only the room, no dances included. The idea of a $30 room should already be setting alarms in someone's head. So I asked how it works. And the girls kept being vague and treating me like I was some criminal for asking how it works. Ultimately, the boring answer they were so cryptic about is that every girl gets to set their own price once you go into the room. And you won't know until you actually get the room. Definitely a really scammy way to run a business. And ironic she accused of wanting to scam girls for trying to understand how the pricing structure works. Girls will walk up to you like other clubs. They will sit with you, but all of them are right down to business. And if you say no, they will be extremely rude about it. One girl told me to tip the girl on stage when I wasn't even looking at her. Another girl told me she won't come back if I said no and kept trying to get me to say yes. Girls here hate each other and will stab each other in the back. I was told certain girls will straight up scam patrons. All while that girl as probably trying to scam me. This club is definitely lower shelf and the quality of girls definitely reflect that. Everything about this place sets off huge flashing red flags in my head. If I ever feel I need to feel sad about life, I'll definitely come here again!

**Dream Girls at Rick's: A Heavenly Escape into Warmth and Hospitality--But Where Is Rick, and Why…read moreIs It So Dark?** If you ever dreamed of entering a world where charm, grace, and genuine hospitality reign supreme, then **Dream Girls at Rick's** is your destination. From the moment I stepped inside, I was wrapped in an embrace of unparalleled warmth and welcome--the kind of effortless hospitality that makes you feel **not like a customer, but like royalty**. The performers? **Exceptional.** Each of them radiates confidence, skill, and an ability to **make every patron feel like the most important person in the room**. It's not just entertainment--it's an experience meticulously designed to uplift and delight. These women don't just perform; they **connect**, turning a simple night out into an unforgettable spectacle of charm and elegance. The staff beyond the stage? **Remarkable.** Every bartender, hostess, and server contributes to an environment so friendly, so genuinely engaging, that it feels **more like an exclusive party** than just a club. They anticipate your needs, smile with authenticity, and ensure that every moment inside is filled with laughter and enjoyment. But now--**let's talk about the shadows.** For reasons unknown, Dream Girls at Rick's operates under **a strict "dim lighting is law" policy**, bathing the entire establishment in what I can only describe as **a perpetual near-darkness**. Is it an aesthetic choice? A strategic ambiance decision? A secret government experiment testing the limits of human eyesight? I may never know. What I do know is that my drink was delicious--but I could barely see it. My friends were laughing--but their faces were mere silhouettes. At one point, I thought I saw someone waving at me--but it could've been a trick of the shadows. Every interaction required a level of **visual commitment** usually reserved for deciphering ancient manuscripts. And then--**RICK.** Or rather, **the absence of Rick.** I asked. I inquired. I requested an audience with the great **namesake of this establishment**--and was met with vague gestures and uncertain explanations. Where **was** he? Was he real? Had he ever existed? Could he hear me pleading for clarity from the depths of the club's carefully curated darkness? The verdict? Dream Girls at Rick's **is spectacular**--an absolute triumph of service and atmosphere. But be warned: **you will strain your vision**, and **Rick is a mystery that may never be solved**. Five stars. But **I'm bringing a flashlight next time**.

My boyfriend and I stopped by because we heard the coffee is good and the girls are pretty hot, but better yet, they're not dumb. The coffee was pretty good. It was really sweet (sugary) but I also didn't specify how much white mocha powder I wanted (I ordered an Americano with White Choc) so I can't hold that against them. Wish I had gotten 4 shots instead of 2. And in regards to the elephant in the room: the barista was alright looking. She had a nice body and her tattoos were cute, but she was disheveled (her outfit was crooked and needed an adjustment) and behaved as though she was a ditz. Is that honest enough? I mean, fake eyelashes and 4 lbs of makeup are great, but the unfortunate personality of this girl fed a little to strongly to the stereotype. Now, that's MY input, as a woman. My boyfriend's reaction: "Eh. She was ok. She was kinda dumb and looked like she had been out partying a little too hard." I'll probably give it another try. Second, we ordered two drinks, one of which was a plain green tea which normally costs $1-3 at coffee shops, and our total was $12.50. That's ridiculously expensive. There was no menu so we don't know how much the drinks cost. It felt like we got ripped off and the barista pocketed the extra money. Drinks were fine, but not worth the money.
