On multiple occasions I've felt this practice had let me down. While living in Fayetteville, I'd go…read morethere with multiple issues I'd like to talk to Dr sturcken about and I'd be told I'd need to schedule another apt to discuss more than one issue at a time. This was really disheartening. On another occasion I visited the office for an apt and needed blood work. After the visit with Dr Sturcken, I was talking with the lady taking blood and mentioned an issue I thought I may have and asked if they were taking blood for my thyroid as well. She said no but she could easily add it. Dr. Sturcken literally got frustrated and stated, "I already put your charts away," and was upset that she now needed to get them back out and add that. The latest upset is due to me moving out of state. A prescription I have is ending soon and I don't have a dr apt here for three months. Mind you, it took me a year to find a new dr, so I understand the inability to see me to renew more prescriptions. I was just hopeful she could refill it for a couple more months. She said no, so I asked if I should cut them in half to hold me over and she said she can't offer advice on that. I guess just overall, I've had multiple negative experiences with Dr. Sturcken.

I don't really like this doctor office. This is the worst doctor office I have ever been to. My…read moreexperience is that the person at the front desk is not friendly in my opinion. The doctors are fine. I have been there three times and I have seen three of their doctor. The first two doctors I have seen were great the last one was ok. She put in some medicine for me but she did not do a prior authorization form for it. I find this out when I want to the pharmacy where I was supposed to pick it up. The people at the pharmacy were nice and tried to override it but couldn't. So I call this doctor office about it like 5 or so times and they were not answer their phone. Once I finally got a hold of them they redirected me to the nurses station. They did not answer the phone so I call the station like 3 times until I just left a voicemail. They finally called me back a few hours later and told me they were going to do the paper work tomorrow. And I was like ok thank you. I don't live in Fayetteville nor Fort Bragg right now. I get my medicine at Womack pharmacy. I recently went off to college and the pharmacy is about an hour way. They did not seem apologetic about me having to go there to not pick up the medicine when I leave an hour. However I did not care that much because they said they were going to do the authorization form. So then I went to the pharmacy about two weeks later and the people at the pharmacy said that they still do not have the prior authorization form for the same medication again. I was annoyed. I called the doctor's office about three times until I was able to speak to someone. Once I was finally able to speak to to the front desk, they said they are going to let the doctor know. They didn't not call me back to let me know about anything. So I called the office to see if they did the prior authorization form for my medicine and they did a week later. I am honestly over this place. I feel like they don't respect people's time. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

She discussed courses of action/treatment and I was very pleased with her thoroughness. For the first time in a long time, I truly felt involved in my medical care and courses of action. Over the last two years, I was complaining of fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, etc. She did lab work that showed I was extremely anemic, and she advised me to take an iron supplement. The iron made me very sick, but she didn't do anything! I became very depressed ... it was clear she didn't care. I complained over and over about these specific symptoms, but she did nothing. Finally, during a routine exam at my new OBGyn's, someone caught it. I got a phone call the same day as my pelvic exam, from the doctor. She said, "Your iron is dangerously low. Frankly, I don't know how you're standing up." I was scheduled for an emergency iron infusion. This was two weeks ago, and I'm finally starting to feel normal. Go to Stacie if you're not planning on getting sick. She's delightful to chat with, but not the best practitioner.
