4.5 stars. Zone 28 is a restaurant and entertainment complex. It has the Rail House restaurant, End…read moreZone Sports Bar, a 33-lane bowling alley, several dozen arcade games, laser tag, escape rooms, space for private events, and more. For years, my family has been coming here for birthday parties and everyday fun. More recently, my husband had a work event here, and his employees seemed to enjoy the foods, drinks, and games. I think that the restaurant's casual foods such as pizzas and its alcoholic beverages such as cocktails taste very good. The kids "loved" the bowling and arcade games and spent hours playing them. The games are fun for adults, too (I liked the air hockey and laser tag, although I am not the most skilled at them!). The only problem that we have had was that a photo printer was out of paper, and we had to wait for the paper to be replaced. The employees spoke nicely with us.

We started off bowling and of course needed some snacks and drinks for fuel! I got a couple of cocktails and while they were craft by any means, they were decent and I appreciate the frozen options. I liked the large app sampler platter we got and it had so food that we had leftovers to take home. The staff member who checked in on us was super nice. Afterwards, we played some of their arcade games (there's over 85!) and checked out the prizes in their redemption area. I also appreciate that they gave us to go cups for the arcade portion so there wasn't any spillage. There's also laser tag, escape rooms, and a couple of restaurants with plenty of drink and food options so there's really something for everyone! I will note, we went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty crowded with families and there were multiple private rooms for birthday parties. I'm hoping to go back on a random weekday for fewer crowds.

Spoke with a lady manager, she was polite and helpful previously. Decided after tonight's bad food that I wasn't coming back. So called just to let them know. This time it was a guy manager. Who proceeded to talk over me the whole time, was rude and condescending. And when he asked me a question would interrupt before I could finish my comment. I've been in this industry for about over 40 years now and am so tired of assholes like this guy. He is what makes food service shit. And why restaurants go out of business. His ego needs checked. Now not only won't we be back, I will actively tell people not to eat at Somma. I'm a catering chef. I speak to A LOT OF PEOPLE about food. Being a dick to customers is a bad business plan. Edit: Just spoke with my buddy who picked up the pizzas. Said they were giving him weird looks when he came in and I think I know why. When I was ordering I had to explain it to the girl 6 or 7 times before she got it. She was getting frustrated. I asked for a pizza with olive oil and garlic, with chicken and hot peppers, house cheese mix. That's all. She kept asking if I wanted a white with no ranch. I said no, and explained, again, what we wanted. We have ordered this more than once. Finally after like 6 times she repeated it back, I corrected that we wanted hot peppers, not just peppers. She said OK. We still got green peppers by the way. SMH.... The pizza was the final straw for me, and why I was calling. But after this whole drama, my guess is you have internal issues WAY beyond inconsistent food.

The staff were friendly and well attentive. My family ordered a bunch of food and it was all good…read more My favorite is their ranch and you can buy some to go in a jar. I also love the zucchini fries! My oldest enjoyed the arcade room as well.

If you love filling up your October calendar with spooky Halloween activities like I do, it's time…read moreto book your trip to ScareHouse. I love to go with a date and a group of friends. Imagine pulling up to a mall that feels weirdly abandoned and shut down and then being transported to a world of gore, horror, dark magics and sensory excitement! I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll leave some tips below. Tips: -- the earlier you get in the night, the less waiting in line you will do. -- if you like getting the brunt of the scary stuff, try to be the leader of your pack, aka, the one holding the flashlight. -- get into it! Allow yourself to react! Don't try to be tough or a hard a**. The more you scream and react to what you're seeing, smelling, feeling, the better of a time you'll have !

We arrived later in the evening around 7:45 pm and had to wait in line for about a half hour. Since it's a Sunday evening I'd imagine the line length might be a little longer on a Friday or Saturday evening. The Haunted house itself takes about a good half hour to get through and has A LOT of different features throughout. Overall the makeup, staging, and props are very well done and the staff was very professional. Definitely recommend for older kids if you're considering bringing them along, might be too scary for a younger crew. Overall great option in Pittsburgh for a SCARY fun night out as the Halloween season is upon US!
