The Meadows allows for shotgun sports challenges for shooters of all skill levels and abilities. It boasts a phenomenal trap range, which posses launching positions for all levels of shooter. They have a five stand course that will challenge even the best shooters, they shooting positions are mostly covered, therefore weather is not always a problem. The monumental pinnacle of the club is the world class sporting clays course. 100 targets, walking to different shooting positions, rabbits, gophers, side, back, flying toward the shooter, crossing, report pairs and true pairs. The course is absolutely amazing! The club is affordable even for those who don't have a membership, although, if you dont, you cannot shoot on certain weekends without a member. They rent guns if you want to try or don't own a shotgun as well as teach clinics on safety and shooting. They sell limited beverages and small snacks, ammo, hearing protection and even merchandise including shirts, hats, vests, etc. The Meadows National Gun Club is an jewel in middle Georgia and is truly a must shoot for shooting sports enthusiasts and event those who simply want to try. The staff is friendly and care very much about the shooters using their facility. I used them in college for a couple of events, and they are cordial, professional and very willing to work with groups. They get a huge high five from me and five stars as a review.

I took my boat last year for routine service with a full tank of gas. Got it back with just enough gas to go to the station. I let that pass and didn't say anything. I had my boat picked up recently for yearly maintenance, to stick a piece of trim back on the floor area, and to check my radio that made a popping sound in the speaker (radio worked when we loaded the boat on the trailer). I called after 7 days to check the status of the service and was given a bill higher than expected. Only to find out they put a new radio in my boat (i didn't authorize - but paid for it) and was told they fixed the floor trim. Got the boat back and the trim is exactly like it was when they got it. I asked to pick up my old radio and was told to come by. Got there (2 hour drive) and the radio was nowhere to be found. Very aggravating! Sales is great but service is horrible. I will not be doing business at CGM again.

the trails at the thomson factory are a great ride for after work or if you have some spare time on…read morethe weekend. the sorba chapter does a really nice job of providing bikers a good place to ride (as well as the childrens home), and this place shows their dedication. it's a short, sometimes techinical, and all fast singletrack, about 25-40 minutes ride and i'm not sure how long it is. like the childrens home, there are numbers everywhere, so it took me a while and a map to figure out how to navigate the trail to it's fullest without backtracking on numerous shortcuts. there's even some cool obstacles to tackle and someone graciously hung a skeleton on the trail....always love trail decor.

We missed the street that takes you to the park twice, when we finally found the place it had ample parking available. There is a playground which was packed on the Sunday afternoon that we visited. The restrooms are located next to the playground and were relatively clean. The park offers plenty of shade and was well maintained. There was a small outdoor gym where I saw 1 person utilizing. I saw people playing catch in the open field and several people were walking their dogs. You can walk, run or bike ride on the trail. There is a very peaceful area that over looks the river where we took pictures. We were able to get in several miles and more than my required steps for the day. I look forward to coming back to Amerson River Park.
