Tires! Lot and lots of tires!!! Haha. OK, it's more than tire flipping :-) …read more When I started there I weighed about 300 with ZERO muscle to speak of. Now I weigh about 210 with muscle that can be seen. Now it's much more than the weight loss. It's about the family environment there . Without that the weight loss and muscle building simply doesn't happen for me. Invest in yourself and go to Rawmana. They truly care about everyone there and make sure you don't shortchange yourself on your weightlifting, cardio or diet!!!

I attended the Cardio and Calisthenics - Lower Body class on a Tuesday at 9 AM. The turnout was…read moregreat, with nearly 10 women participating. The workout began with a warm-up jog, followed by three sets of bear crawls, jump squats, knee-ins, and high planks. Next, we did four sets of toe taps, progressing in height from a shorter tire to a slightly taller one, and then to an even higher tire. This was followed by sit-ups and push-ups, increasing the number of reps for each set. We wrapped up with a few ab exercises. Overall, the class had a welcoming atmosphere, and everyone was very friendly. The instructor was kind and accommodating--when I mentioned that I wasn't comfortable doing bear crawls on the concrete with bare hands, she provided an alternative exercise. While this workout style isn't my personal favorite, as I'm not a fan of a lot of jumping and bodyweight exercises, it was definitely a session that got the heart rate up. I'd recommend this class for beginners!

While I am no longer a fan of these HIIT group class concepts with a dedicated WOD targeting select…read moremuscle groups, Revel can serve to switch things up or keeps things fun especially with the high-energy music played within the low-lit studio. Admittedly, it's a vibe. However, these concepts have you starting on the tread and switching off to the bench anywhere from 2-3 times. I feel like you do not get the ultimate benefit of either. The weight segment is also super ineffective, incorporating "compound" moves for basically everything with upwards of 5-7 different exercises for a max of MAYBE 2 sets. I get why people love this concept because it's hard to stay motivated with the same boring workout. Plus, these workouts will undoubtedly have you feeling sore, this feedback being what people thrive off of, because sore muscles=growth, right? WRONG, as you absolutely SHOULD NOT feel sore after every single workout. In terms of progress, you will quickly flat line with the lack of consistency due to all the randomness. However, people have different goals and exercise is better than none, I mean, if you can afford it!

I am in LOVE with this studio! It's conveniently located at the MARA in Mission Bay/Pacific Beach…read moreright off the 5 FWY and Grand. There is plenty of retail parking on the first level of the parking garage as well as ample street parking. The studio is clean and has bathrooms, showers, high-end personal care products (lotions, soaps, feminine care products) and offers free towels to use during the workout. The studio is spacious and has treadmills + benches with weights and bands in each space plus extra weights along the wall you can grab for heavier lifting. Another thing I really love about the treads is the ability to do sled pulls and parachute runs...haven't found another studio in SD that has them! The trainers are motivating, the music playlists are curated to really pump you up and the workouts are 50 min - it's effective, efficient and you get a total full body workout and a balance of strength training and cardio w/ the option to double up on weights. I took advantage of the special they had for March for $196/month for unlimited classes (normally $300/month). I have been averaging going 3-4x/week so the value is there and this promotion was a really good deal! Can't wait for my next class!

If you forget your scan card, expect to be treated harshly…read more They make it seem like a big hassle to enter your phone number. Then condemnation with complete disapproval for not having it, the impression made. One may ask 'it's not that big of a deal to bring the card.' It is. Easy to forget. Misplace. Takes up un-needed space with daily items. And a customer should not be treated poorly for not having it. What else do the front desk personnel have to do? Why was I even told I better have it next time, like a threat almost. 24hr no card needed, LA fitness no card needed, all other gyms no card... I wouldn't care but each of the few times I forgot it, I was told I better have it next time, I'm sure I'm not the only one. One may state we have two water filling stations. You do. But trying to get the sensor to recognize the water container and waiting it to fill is a little painful, not horrible but annoying. additionally: poorly ventilated. Door in the back with fans. pully machines poorly maintenance. mismatched weights-clear sign just bought at yard sales. Swear I paid first month, last month, then last month again when leaving.
