I got an estate plan prepared by this firm. It was pulling teeth to get a response from attorny. She did not respond to any message, any phone call, any email ever. It was so frustrating. While I was going through the most difficult period of my life I was referred to Amanda which unfortunately ended up being the worst experience I have gone through. My ex husband and I needed someone to do our paperwork. We agreed to pretty much everything but we wanted things to be done right. In all our meetings with Amanda we would leave out of her office depressed and not talking she was so negative and was always trying to create tension between us and keep us there longer. I was getting the impression that with her everything was about the paycheck she would receive and how she would have more meetings that they were not even needed. She was getting upset cause we were not arguing and she was very judgmental towards me for some reason. I even remembered she made a comment about the fact that I was so calm and commended on my religious beliefs she sarcastically asked me if I was a Buddhist. Regarding the legal procedures and paperwork she was disorganized and late. I would receive letters from the court that the paperwork was not filed while I had given her everything on time. It took me a while to write this review cause I was trying to forget all about this experience it was brutal and probably worse than my actual divorce but I finally decided to do so cause I do not want anyone else to go through what I did. read more

My employer has an Employee Assistance Program which referred me to Amanda for help with my divorce filings. I had a very simple divorce in which my ex-husband and I were working through the system together and wanted an attorney to help navigate the Court filings. I made an appointment with Amanda and although she was not very professional in our initial meeting because talked endlessly about her personal life, I decided to pay her a retainer to guide me through the divorce process. Getting divorced was one of the most difficult things I have every gone through and the stress Amanda added was almost more than I could handle. I remember after hiring her, breathing a sigh of relief thinking I had someone to help me; someone who could direct me; that I was not alone in the process. That was so far from the case. After signing the service agreement, I asked for a copy back - but she told me she was having printer problems and would get it back to me eventually. The printer ended up being a major problem throughout the time we worked together. It was her excuse for not having done something she said she would. I had to nag her to file papers with the court on time. She always waited until the last day to do so, which completely stressed me out. This went on for several months. I needed someone to lead me through the divorce process, versus me leading and nagging her. The final straw was when I was after her for many months to please prepare my preliminary disclosures. She ultimately came back saying that she had been waiting for me to send the data - the truth was, I had sent it all to her four months prior in a very complete and organized fashion. I could not believe she was asking for it, months after me pestering her. This told me that she was incapable of keeping her records straight or a proper calendar. The experience was horrible and I ultimately stopped working with her and walked away from a chunk of money. I did hire a legal assistant who was completely professional, highly efficient, diligent, responsible, organized, clear, responsive, and competent. All of the things I expected Amanda to be, but was not. Thankfully, Amanda has since been dropped by my Employee Assistance Program and none of my colleagues will be referred to her. If anyone else received the service I did, I would suspect the complaints mounted and she was intentionally dropped by the Employee Assistance Program. read more

I am in the process of finding a right lawyer. I found Jarrat on the yelp with five star reviews. I went in for the free 30 minutes initial consultation. The interview came with much of her side stories and ran into 63 minutes. Then she said she stopped the clock now. Her hourly rate is $300. I owe her $180 and how would I pay for it now. She didn't mention any charges prior the appointment. I wasn't prepared for it and I wasn't in a mood to fight. I paid. I don't know how good she is. But the yelp review said she is not nicle and dime. It is correct. she is $5 for every minute.!! Do prepare to bring enough of money with you if chosen!! I also interviewed other lawyers in the area.
