In larger cities I can…read moreunderstand the occasional slip up in customer service and loss to brand loyalty due to the sheer volume, but in a small town the expectation is so much higher - word carries. Recently moved to Selkirk looking for small town pride in service and quality in work at the local dodge dealership. However that will not be found here, they are far more interested spinning up fabricated tails of how they will help you, rather than solutions but never to follow through. I have called 3 times to make appointments only to be hung up on or put permanently on hold. I have physically taken my Dodge Ram in twice on different weekends to receive verbal confirmation that they would get back to me on Monday and now they deleted our feedback post on their Facebook page to plead with them for help. Not sure what it takes to get their attention, phone, on social media and in person doesn't work. Guess they don't want our money because you can't give it to them if you tried. Not only did I leave a written note with the last guy that promised he would follow up with me on Monday, but I left my business card so no miscommunication could have been made. The effort to work with this dealership is not with your time. Keep driving to Walmart down the street. At least the greeters there will acknowledge you and are likely more capable of assisting you with service than anyone at the dodge dealership.

Matthias was super helpful even before I set foot in the door. My previous Toyota finally called it quits after 415,000 kms... and since I live in the country arranging a ride to go into any dealership meant asking friends and family to bring me around. I had called several other dealerships and emailed asking questions about cars in their inventory, and only Matthias responded to any of my online questions. We communicated by email for a couple of days before I was able to come in in person... but as soon as I walked in I felt I already knew him, and he made me feel comfortable and relaxed.... he was aware of what I was looking for and was incredibly helpful before I even got there.. I must say, it was BY FAR the least confrontational and most relaxing car buying experience I have ever had!!! There was absolutely no pressure and it was completely hassle free!! Never have I been treated with such respect from a dealership in my past car buying experiences... This is one of the main reasons I drive my cars until they literally die.. I have in the past absolutely hated the car buying experience... For example: a) They did not submit the financing paperwork in time and I was contacted by the financing company because of a late payment. I contacted Winnipeg Honda and they ignored me and did not reply. I was left to sort it out myself, despite the fact the finance company's position it was Winnipeg Honda's fault (it was obviously not mine - car dealerships don't work on the honour system to secure payment - I did everything correctly). b) As part of my purchase of a brand new vehicle, I paid for winter car mats and was promised I would be contacted when they were in stock. I was not contacted. Emailed the dealership to inquire and was ignored. No reply. Went to dealership and they were confused. They went to look in salesperson's office for them. LOL. Not surprisingly, despite treating me like garbage and ignoring me, they did take time to reach out by telling me my salesperson made a service appointment for my vehicle (salesperson did not ask me or even tell me he would do this).
