Every time I get laser from Dr. Kappel, I am amazed at the stark difference in my skin versus other providers. It must be the settings, my skin always recovers with radiance and health. I was really loving her YouTube vids, she seemed so educated and beautiful. Unfortunately, her products contain harmful chemicals and I cannot highly recommend her brand MDaire. It got a very bad rating on Yuka (see attached). Furthermore, the customer service was extremely poor. I tried booking laser with her and left a message on IG...no response. Then filled out her online consultation form...no response. I then called and left a message...no response until a WEEK later! Never have I experienced a painless botox injection, until today. I went for a consultation to receive treatment for redness and brown spots. I was immediately seen with no wait time which pleasantly surprised me. I scheduled with RN Stephanie and she was amazing. She was so complimentary and warm while also being extremely knowledgeable. Came here yesterday to see Dr. Lina Kennedy. I had originally wanted to book an an appointment with Dr. Kappel but she was booked until September. After watching Dr.Kappel's incredibly informative and helpful YouTube videos, extensive educational background and experience with lasers, and much research, I was excited to see her. Unfortunately she didn't have an opening until September...BUT Dr. Lina Kennedy who she works with had a cancellation so I was able to book an appointment two days later with her instead. I was excited to finally have my tiny issue resolved and thought maybe I could learn more about what else could help my skin. I needed to have a small broken capillary on my face zapped with a laser- and I specifically wanted the Vbeam (after much research)- which they had here. Many offices use lasers but not the Vbeam in specific for my condition. I also wanted a Dermatologist to perform the treatment and not an RN (lasers need to be handled with extreme care and someone with years of experience). I was a bit hesitant since I wanted Dr. Kappel but trusted that Dr. Kennedy would be able to handle the job just as well (being that they worked together). The location is great - and the receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. I have to be completely honest though, I didn't have the friendliest encounter with the nurse or Dr. Kennedy. Being that I've never had any type of lasers or anything more than facials done on my face I was a bit nervous about the process. I asked numerous questions and received straightforward answers which didn't really help to calm my anxiety. I was expecting the same passion and excitement that I'd seen by Dr. Kappel in her incredible videos on skin health and lasers (maybe this was my mistake expecting the same from Dr. Kennedy?)... I was asked to sign a waiver before the laser and the nurse seemed annoyed I was asking many questions (I always read everything thoroughly before signing.) At one point she tried to show me where to sign on the iPad, but I was clearly still reading the waiver agreement before signing? This made me feel very rushed and was actually quite rude. I knowingly paid a quite higher fee for this service (being in Newport Beach and visiting a highly popular office for Dr. Kappel who makes fantastic YouTube videos)...and I expected more. The receptionist was absolutely fantastic and is probably the only reason I would come back here (I can't recall her name). The laser service itself went fine, I am experiencing some bruising/purpura from the Vbeam and called the receptionist to confirm this is normal and she assured me it was expected. I didn't receive much after care instructions from Kennedy. I felt like I was the one asking all of the questions. For double the cost at this location for the same service at nearby offices, I expected better. It was literally three zaps of a laser. I expected more education, passion, instruction and friendliness. For a first time patient, initial impressions are everything. I know and understand this well as a business owner. Perhaps it was because I was having a quicker/cheaper service that I didn't receive as much attention? Hopefully that's not the case because if so, that's just terrible business. Make a good impression and patients will return. Perhaps they can change my mind in the future if I decide to return for a second session or additional service. A bit bummed by this overall because I expected better. Again, maybe I expected too much and should have waited to see Dr. Kappel. Just hoping my results are what I wanted. Still healing. Waited 4 months to see Stefani and it was well worth it! For starters, I really appreciated that she didn't leave me waiting in the office for an hour. This happens to me all the time. She listened to me thoroughly and I left leaving her office feeling and looking more beautiful. TRAPEZIUS BOTOX, MASSETER BOTOX, CHIN FILLER AND MDAIRE eye complex review :) traps Botox- wow. It's been just over 2 weeks and my traps have gotten so much daintier and my neck just looks "prettier". I've always had a thin neck and nice shoulder to neck ratio. With increasing my workouts, my traps took on allllll the lifting which caused them to bulk up a ton.. like noticeably masculine. I didn't like how it looked at all and I felt my other back muscles weren't doing the work they should be. Dr.Kappel did my lips and she did such an amazing job! I've seen her for Nasal Labia filler, tear trough, chin filler and most recently lip filler. I have naturally full lips and I wanted to plump them a little bit more as well as address my asymmetrical pout. I've suffered for years with broken capillaries all over my face and very large pores on my cheeks (thanks genes) and I've grown incredibly frustrated with not being able to leave the house without any makeup on because of the redness and uneven skin tone. Now that I'm nearly 40, I finally decided to do something about it. I booked a consultation with Dr. Kappel based solely on yelp reviews and they didn't disappoint. The office is super cute, and shared with Dr. Kosins, a great plastic surgeon, and their staff was incredibly warm and friendly. When meeting with Dr. Kappel and explaining my concerns, she was attentive, caring, and knowledgeable in her field. She reassured me that she was able treat all of my concerns with 2 lasers: V Beam and the Clear + Brilliant laser. Yay! Finally a solution to my years of bad skin! I loved that she took the time to answer my questions and I never felt rushed. Dr. Kappel being the expert that she is in dermatology, she reassured me that it was safe and gentle and using a mild setting, it won't cause hyperpigmentation for me. So I was bold and I trusted her opinion and tried it out for the first time. The treatment itself was very gentle and nothing that I had imagined. She numbed me up for an hour with some numbing cream to make the treatment comfortable and it was a breeze! I loved the results so much that I'm planning to do my next treatment in a month.
