The front office was very pleasant and upon me telling them that I had some discomfort they immediately scheduled me without giving me difficulties. They processed my paperwork online and made it a breeze. For the extraction they referred me to Warren oral surgery and I had a unpleasant experience with the front staff at Warren Oral surgery The staff at Oral surgery made it difficult for me to make an appointment and after the appointment I requested the doctor called me with some information and I never got a callback.

How could they charge so much you ask, because it feels awesome and everyone knows it (better than weed by far in my opinion), plus it makes a miserable procedure go from virtually unbearable to virtually unnoticeable. As far as the professionalism of the office they get top marks. With regards to the doctor that I saw whose name is escaping me right now, he's all business and really knows root canal. They're not just dentists their endodontist which is kind of like a dentist "on steroids" (I hate that expression, I couldn't think of anything better at the moment). Believe it or not the dentist that sent me there "didn't feel comfortable doing root canal it on the molars", I found that kind of strange because I went to a professional, a dentist(!). Apparently this is pretty normal and this is why Endodontists exist. In fact given the skill level I would say go to an endodontist for any root canal, period. He is a very friendly guy and loves to talk to the patients to make them feel more relaxed. The teeth cleaning is fast and efficient with no pain at all. He also helped me do a root canal which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The root canal procedure was very relaxing with no pain at all. If you know you need to have a tooth removed, and are feeling worried about it, I want to assure you that Dr. Mehrotra and his staff took excellent care of me! Dr. Mehrotra was so gentle and kind, and his soft-spoken manner put me at ease immediately. He administered the shots of anesthesia skillfully, and made sure I was 100% numb before he smoothly and quickly removed my fractured molar. His assistants were also calm and pleasant, and I felt safe in their experienced hands. The office is very well run with a great website that I used ahead of time to submit my new patient information. When I arrived, all my paperwork was in order and the insurance coordinator was clear on how much my insurance would cover and how much was my responsibility. I appreciated their organization and that there were no hidden fees. They are in-network for Delta Dental of NJ so the portion I had to pay was minimal. They proceded with the first half of the root canal. Then, they basically said I shouldn't have it finished because it'll probably need to be taken out anyway... so, just find an oral surgeon. Due to lack of guidance by office personnel (she had recommended some over-the-counter meds for pain but refrained from telling me not to take it before my scheduled appointment which was the next morning!), the initial consultation was deemed "inconclusive". I rescheduled and went to my car. I noticed a swelling and called and asked if I needed antibiotics. I had been tasting a bad bacteria taste as well. They said I didn't need it. By that night, full blown absess (on weekend of course). Had to go to emergency dentist on Monday morning and got prescription. Subsequently, made it back to next consultation and they proceeded to do partial root canal as I noted. Procedure went fine and then was told I shouldn't bother having it finished because I would probably need the tooth taken out anyway. (I overheard the same conversation in the next room.) I just want to help people in my situation. Endodontists are paid to do root canals. Dentists do the fillings, crowns, etc. Oral surgeons extract. They all do their individual procedures and most do it well. Just review all your options and make your decision.
