This past Saturday I broke a tooth and panicked. I thought to call Dr. Jordache's office, leave a message and hopefully receive a return call during the weekend. To my surprise the doctor answered the phone, listened to my concerns and offered to see me that afternoon (I live an hour away). When I arrived, he explained my options and patiently answered all my questions. He treated me as though I had been a client for years. I feel as though I finally met a dentist that I would not hesitate to recommend to my friends and family. When she asked for more novocaine, expressing that she could feel all of the pain of this process, he refused, saying she had enough. Clearly she did not. My mother was having major knee surgery in August, so she needed to get all dental work done by July 30th to still qualify for the surgery. She needed this knee surgery, so she just sucked it up and went through HORRIBLE pain as he twisted, turned, and yanked her tooth out. Throughout the whole process, he was mocking her for not staying still through the writhing pain of getting your tooth ripped out without enough novocaine. Then when it was done, he just sent her home with a few bloody gauze. When she came home, she was crying, bloody, and a wreck. I can't believe someone gave you a dental license you sick freak. When a patient is screaming from pain, and all you do is mock her, you deserve your practice taken away from you. We will never return to this practice, and will tell everyone we know to steer clear. After numbing her, the dentist repeatedly pulled at the tooth but was unable to remove it. My daughter is now in significant pain following the appointment. Watching her go through that experience was extremely upsetting. Based on what I witnessed, I have serious concerns about the judgment and care provided. I do not feel comfortable returning to this office, and I intend to explore my options, including speaking with a medical malpractice attorney.

Anna at the front gave me a written treatment plan instantly at the completion of the first visit, then explained my payment options. Dental work is never fun, of course, but Dr. Gomes made sure I was not feeling any discomfort before starting the work. And she took the time to carefully explain both the procedure and my options, as well as follow-up and aftercare. The dental assistant. Cathy, was knowledgeable and helpful as well. She explained the paperwork and prep, and got me ready for the procedures, then did her part to assist Dr. Gomes. She also helped by reminding me to relax and breathe during the work, since I sometimes get nervous and tense up. It sounds like a small thing, but it shows she was paying attention to my status as well as the doctor's instructions, and finding ways to make things go more smoothly. Dr. Gomes even called me personally the night after my morning procedure, to check on me. She didn't just tell me to call her if I had problems. She contacted me to find out how I was doing, firsthand. I haven't had a dentist do that before, but I later found out that Dr. Gomes does that for every patient who has an extraction. Overall, I feel like I got and am getting the best possible dental care I can get from Dr Gomes and her staff. And I also feel like I got that for a fair and reasonable price. Since those two things don't always go together, Stencil Dental is really something special. I am new to the area and hadn't found a local dentist yet - but now I have. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

She listens, takes pride in her work, and I'd be surprised if there's a better dentist out there. My family stayed with this practice for years because of her talent, despite noticing high turnover among the hygiene and office staff. Unfortunately, a recent issue with the billing department ruined our experience. After receiving an unexpected charge that was not disclosed prior to treatment, I attempted to resolve it via email. I received a brief, abrasive response alongside a hand-scribbled bill that lacked clear explanation. To clarify the charge, a Cigna insurance representative joined me on a conference call to advocate on my behalf. During that call, the billing staff member, Colin, was dismissive, repeatedly interrupted the representative, and became heated when challenged. While Cigna successfully got the inaccurate charge waived, our reward for advocating for transparent billing was receiving a certified letter terminating our care. Dr. Gomes is one of the best dentists around, but the unprofessionalism and hostility from her administrative team ultimately forced us out. I strongly encourage management to review phone recordings with Cigna so Dr. Gomes understands how her patients are being treated behind closed doors.
