The main dentist reprimanded a tech right outside my door and it was very unprofessional. Day of extraction appt, after 3 hours late for my appt, i asked if was going to be soon if not I had no issue rescheduling. Told will be in a few minutes. Another hour goes by and i go back to desk this time to just reschedule when said oh no she is coming to get you right now. Once in room waiting on surgeon and he and his assistant come in laughing but in a more sexual way, thought that was odd. I said i was ok to reschedule seeing as he seemed to be running so far behind. at this comment he was not happy, i said if running that late maybe ask desk to let people know and they could come back later. He got more upset at that and said " things happen" Honestly i think the thing was an adventure with the tech. After he was done and i was waking up, he rudely said i even left you impacted wisdom tooth in. "how is that". I was too out of it to even catch on before he left the room. Next on to 1st set of teeth which not going to say much about as too swollen to have any idea on fit. went back a few more times to adjust never fit good for more than couple hours before hurt again. Everytime they made my next set of dentures they used WAY too much of the goo and it made me gag. once time i started to choke and had to spit out the set and they got mad they had to start again. I asked many times not to put so much in, but never listened. Most times I was there it was like the dentists were more interested in extra curricle activities than my needs. I never did get a pair of good bottom dentures to wear and now I am looking to have top out and definitely going elsewhere, and will see about getting a new bottom denture done also

I scheduled and confirmed an appointment as a NEW CUSTOMER for 11:15am, and was asked to arrive 15 minutes early at 11:00 for some NEW CUSTOMER paperwork, which I did. Upon my arrival, I was told that they "tried calling to move me up" even though this was untrue and I had spoken to someone the day prior to confirm the appointment. I then asked if they were unexpectedly busy and if the wait would be very long. The employee's response was "No, we're not really busy, but everyone takes lunch at 12 so you can't get your teeth cleaned until 12:30pm." You see, everyone in that office takes a lunch break at 12pm, so having a new customer's appointment scheduled for 11am means they have to wait 90 minutes, until after lunch, to get a teeth cleaning. No big deal, I have several hours to dedicate to a teeth cleaning... **I'm fully aware that many medical offices like this take a set lunch break, however the 1) lack of attention to detail when scheduling customers and 2) lack of remorse for wasting someone's day is appalling. I was never given an apology of any kind, and when I said I could not stay for the next several hours the response was "ok". There was no attempt by the Aspen Dental team to reschedule my appointment. *As a side note, when I indicated that I did in fact have insurance, the employee seemed a little surprised that I was using them for dental care as opposed to a real dentist. My son came out of his appointment for the final portion and said I don't think the guy knew what he was doing at all. Prior to the last procedure both my wife and myself spoke with the office to ensure that we would not need any adjustment to his retainer after the procedure, while we waited for the next steps. Both people we spoke with assured us he would be fine. We were NOT fine. His retainer DID NOT fit and we were basically told "too bad". My son is a teenager and they essentially told us he was fine to be missing two front teeth for over a month. He spent his entire school vacation in his room until we were able to contact his orthodontist to fix his retainer. If they had told us the truth from the onset we would have had the retainer fixed that same day. After all that, we decided NOT to use the office they recommended for his teeth, and we were shocked (well not really) that the East Bay put in healing caps that were too small AND one of the implants was crooked! Thankfully the office we used took care of both issues. But when they called East Bay they were also shocked at how rude the lady on the phone was. Stay AWAY from this place!!! Not recommended at all.
