Michele does a GREAT JOB. She's highly competent and my manicure lasted way longer than usual. I was also very pleasantly surprised at how nice her little room was decorated. It was super clean as well which is always very important to me and an issue that most often prevents me from returning to a new salon. I will say it took me several tries over a number of weeks and months to get an appointment but I am very glad that I finally got in and of course, made a follow up appointment for the next time. The cost was a bit more than I normally pay but for great quality, it is well worth it. I look forward to seeing Michele again soon.

I looked up the salon next door to Phil's but the only stylist there that day (early Monday afternoon) was busy with a client and didn't take walk-ins. I had seen the sign for Phil's Barber Shop earlier in the week (conveniently located within walking distance to Walgreen's) but I wasn't too keen on waltzing into a barber shop and asking for a bang trim vs. a shave. However, since I couldn't get what I was looking for at the first salon next door, I noticed the two chairs in Phil's were unoccupied and saw a nice lady who's name I learned is "Luz" awaiting my arrival as if I had actually made an appointment. I had to walk in and ask if she could fix my fringe. Luz was very professional and is an excellent listener - which is highly important for personal services such as this - especially the first time around with a new client/stylist or "barber". Luz did exactly what I was hoping she would/could do to clean up the mess I had made by cutting my own bangs and she definitely knew what she was doing; so kind and knowledgeable. I encourage you to visit Phil's even if you're not accustomed to having your hair cut by a "barber" - you won't be sorry. And be sure to ask for Luz! You'll be glad you did. We visited a couple of weeks ago for pedicures. It was a really stressful experience. My wife's…read morenail specialist, Ashley, ended 20 minutes earlier than the time we paid for. Ashley did not ask my wife if she wanted any nail polish even though we paid for it in the package. Ashley left the room and told my wife to just enjoy the massage chair. Ashley totally disappeared. I had Hannah, who did well with me. She did everything that we paid for. While my pedicure was getting finished, I was already feeling anxious because I noticed Ashley left twenty minutes early, she came back and asked in front of everyone how we were paying and how much of a tip we wanted to leave her. I was so uncomfortable. After I paid, while still getting my pedicure mind you, she just disappeared again. I wanted to talk to her about her hospitality after I was finished but I couldn't find her anywhere. It was a very uncomfortable experience. Also there were ants in the bathroom all over the sink which is not what I wanted to see while I'm trying to get a spa experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know.
