My first visit was easy enough and was ready in a couple of days. When I went to pick up my cleaning the person behind the counter was very nice and said that since I was a first time customer I would get a 10% discount...awesome! I paid and went on my way. This is where the trouble starts. A few days later I get a call from a "manager" who said that I received my clothes and didn't pay. Um, how would I get my clothes from the back of the store and how would I even know where they are located on the racks? I explained to the manager that the employee there charged me for the clothes and I paid cash for them. The manager then said they would look into this. Now my second visit. I dropped off my clothes again and came back a few days later to pick them up. The worker behind the counter tells me that I owe money from my last visit and that she would need to call her manager. I explained the story again and that I did pay for my cleaning. She then goes on to tell me that what the person charged me was not the right amount. Well Waldorf Nevens, that's not my fault. Maybe post some prices or have prices on the drop off receipt instead of $0.00 all over it. So, instead of fighting about it I asked how much I would owe for all of my cleaning and paid that amount. My third and last visit involved the person behind the counter telling me during my drop off that she thinks I owe money from my second visit. "No way", I said. I told her that I had spoken to the manager and paid what I was told was owed. Upon my return I was greeted with a note from the manager that I did not pay the correct amount on my second visit and that I owed a few more dollars. Waldorf Nevens get your act together. Post some prices so that your customers know what they should be paying for your service. What a joke of a business. Stay away!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CLOTHES TO WALDORF NEVENS!!…read more Two fairly new, expensive dress shirts that were previously in perfect condition came back to me with identical size cuts, in the same place on each. In late-September I submitted two fairly new (approx. 1-2 months old) dress shirts to Waldorf Nevens for cleaning. The shirts are Hugo Boss ($175) and Theory ($199), so they are high-quality shirts, which I have many others of and have never had an issue. When I put the shirts in my laundry bag they were both in perfect condition - with no rips, tears, frays or "wear and tear" spots on them. When I received them back from Waldorf they were marked with taped indicating that there was "wear and tear." However, the alleged "wear and tear" on the shirts was in the form of completely identical knife or scissors slits. The same length and same width of cuts. These are clearly not "wear and tear" but slits from a knife or scissors. I sent the shirts back for Waldorf to "review", two weeks later and when speaking with Pam and Nancy about the issue they both were set on the fact that there had to be a manufacturing defect in the shirts and that I should return them to the store. The problem with that logic is that these are made by two different brands, so the chances that they would "rip" or "wear" in the exact same spot at the exact same time are almost impossible. There is no possible logic behind these shirts being the result of my "wear and tear." No shirt, regardless of quality, would wear like that after 1-2 months of wear. And to try and tell me that is demeaning. I will never give business to Waldorf Nevens again and don't recommend you do!

Our daughter has been going here since September and she absolutely loves it, hence, so do we!…read more It's obvious that the teachers there love what they do and are invested in each child. She is learning a ton and amazes her father and me with the things she learns and tells us. The hours work well for working parents, they are open 7-5:30 and serve a breakfast, lunch and 3 snacks during the day. The lunches seem to be very nutritious with a main, veg, fruit and grain component. They have a religious tone that doesn't bother us at all but you might want to keep in mind if you're considering them. They do an excellent job of sticking to a theme each week and build on it as the week progresses. The program seems to work well for both full time kids as well as part time (M-W-F or T-Th). The school is accredited at a national level as are all of the teachers which is nice. They track her progress throughout the year and keep it in a book so we can see how much she's learned as the year goes by. For instance, they had her try to write her name early in the year and will have her do it again so we can see them side by side at the end of the school year. We are already planning to send her again next year so that she will be well prepared for kindergarten and we will most likely send her sister, barring any moves.
