This is a follow up: I have been going back and forth with their billing office for over 3 months now and have found them to be most lacking in customer service. It turns out they are responsible for a billing error from 6 month ago but still think I should pay them (They only informed of this error 2 months ago). Their employee had my credit card on file was responsible for charging me automatically. That that person failed to charge me is not my responsibility. Can you imagine a company expending hours and hours of staff time trying to collect $60? Now they're saying if I don't pay it'll go to collections. When I try to talk to a supervisor they refuse to put me in touch with them. And what did I get from my first review from the company? "Contact us on line and we'll help". Sure? Not! My advice to you is go elsewhere. read more

I am writing this not because of my experience with my Physical Therapist, Barrette Ford (he's wonderful), but by the company's office practices. From what I can ascertain, the local people have no control or input into billing and when mistakes are made they can't make corrections. A mistake was made somewhere between my insurance company and Step & Spine and I was overcharged multiple times. I was informed it was eventually corrected and I was going to be getting credits toward future appointments. Later, my wife went to the company for therapy, paying as requested for her PT. Sometimes we'd get receipts for our copay, but sometimes the person at the desk was out when we were done so we couldn't get a receipt. We both finished with our PT in February. Then in May, we received a bill stating we owed money. It didn't come from Step & Spine but the billing company they use. I called to see why and, when I challenged the bill, they said they'd forward my query to their local "representative" to determine how to proceed, and that I should receive a call directly from this person. Now, a month later, we get another bill. There was no call from their representative, nothing. So, I call again, and the billing department person said no one looked into the problem, that I owed them money. Needless to say, the office practices are such that it's enough that we'll never return, even though the professional services of the therapists are excellent. read more

Nate had me challenge myself with my post-knee surgery PT. Very knowledgeable & was supportive when I overdid it at home & dropped to both knees. Confident that the at home exercises he put together will help me get stronger! read more

My initial appointments with Dustin were helpful. He did make me aware that they frequently double book the PT's. On my third appointment that was the case. Apparently this is their standard practice. I prefer getting the attention of the PT for the full 45 minutes. My treatment did not involve unsupervised exercises. I'll find another PT clinic. read more

Step & Spine has done wonders. Very considerate. The therapists were very professional and friendly. Only reason this rating is 4 stars, is the front office ladies gossiping every time I've been in while patients are in the waiting area. Find this very unprofessional. read more

My original posting has disappeared so I am reposting. They hide their unsatisfactory postings well! I cannot recommend Step and Spine for physical therapy in Central Oregon. The reasons are many but I will boil them down to the facts that my therapy worsened the pain in my ankle to the extent that I will probably have to have the plates and screw removed. My back pain and sciatica worsened due to an ill advised exercise administered by my therapist (the clinic director!). That ruined 6 months of therapy. The pain persists. My therapy was abruptly stopped by the clinic director 2 sessions after that for no valid nor truthful reason. They seemed to have lost their sense of caring about the patient. Their verbal and written communication skills are lacking or non-existent. Their arrogance and lack of empathy are stunning to me. read more

I have had no communication from Step and Spine after being told I would receive a call on Monday and it is now 8pm Thursday. The new owners do not seem to care that I have attempted to reach out to them again and again and again. No return calls and I will have to contact my insurance myself to resolve a bill that they sent to me late February that dates back to Nov and December. A post made by Step and Spine new owners claim they tried to reach out to me and this is simply false. I will provide phone records to prove that the false statement made is simply that, false. I have so much more to say about the experience I had and I will share if no attempt is made within 24 hours of this post. I am now being well looked after by Rebound of Redmond and couldn't be happier. I would highly suggest that if your looking for treatment without drama and obvious corporate greed, look into Rebound. I began going to Step and Spine for a concussion and had also suffered from hip and leg pain for 10 months. Laura, my therapist, helped me understand the issues that contributed to my pain and gave me exercises that targeted the areas that needed to be strengthened. At the time I walked with a limp and felt that I would have to give up hiking and kayaking, my two favorite types of exercise. It was all too painful. After 6 months of therapy with Laura I am now able to hike several miles with considerable elevation gain. And I look forward to kayaking. Laura is a good listener and was quick to make changes to my program as the need arose. I am so pleased with the care, support and understanding that I received. I have used Step & Spine several times in the last few years for a variety of soft tissue issues. I really appreciate their willingness to listen to what's happening for my body and adapt their treatment. They are really looking at your whole body and not just the first thing you come in there with. I would highly recommend them. If you're unsure they offer an introductory meeting with a physical therapist for $10 to evaluate what is bothering you and let you know whether they can help you or whether you may need to go to a specialist. Physical therapy is often what should be recommended first in my opinion since there is so many things we can do to make our bodies healthier before seeing a doctor who may to just recommend drugs that have side affects or surgery. Research is showing physical therapy for some injuries will help as much as surgery. So check them out. read more

Just finished Physical Therapy with Jennifer at Step & Spine in Redmond. I felt she was capable and knowledgeable as to treatment following my knee replacement surgery. Jennifer was a good listener and adapted the therapy to my specific needs. I felt like she was there for me as opposed to just walking me through a specified series of exercises. I also appreciated the team approach of care at Step & Spine. They have a masseuse available who does wonderful massage work plus some machines which also contribute to feeling better. A complete package of care! Will definitely go back after my other knee replacement! read more

I had two appointments which were not particularly impressive. I was shown some exercises and the therapist drew me some stick figure examples which I could not read. That cost $500. It took several months before I got the bill. When I called to discuss it with them I got voicemail and nobody returned my call. read more

I had been suffering for months with pain in the back of my head and later in my neck, it was making my work day unbearable. Went to Glenn at Step and Spine in Redmond through the course of treatment for my neck, which is now back to normal, we spoke about my vertigo which I had been told by a doctor I just had to live with. I had this for 2 years after 4 or 5 treatments it is totally GONE! If you have ever had vertigo you know how wonderful that feeling is when its gone! They are professional and they care!
