My experience with New Horizon Academy, as a single dad, has been appalling…read more For one, they can't figure out how to bill two separate households for one child, so I'm expected to dissect and reverse-engineer CREDITS on my ex-wife's statement in order to understand what I owe...with no explanation. I'm supposed to assume that credits without clear labeling on my ex's statement are my amount owed. "Hey, you should have asked for clarity"...I agree, so I did...REPEATEDLY. And, none was given. The Director of this "school" couldn't be bothered to take the time to actually respond to me for 6 weeks. She just kept resending the same invoices with no context provided. "You should have noticed a building balance on the invoices"...totally, only there's no balance on the statements that they sent in my ex's name, literally $0 on the balance line, so there's no past-due amount to settle - despite me repeatedly asking to do exactly that. When the school's director requested that we meet to untangle the mess, she couldn't be bothered to attend the meeting that she requested. No notice. No apology. Instead of meeting with me, she just sent out another invoice in my ex's name with a $0 balance as if that clarified anything. Her assistant verified that and expressed confusion as well, said that she'd have the Director follow up, and...that never happened either. Find a better facility for your children, this one ain't it.

All of this was brought to the attention of the supervisor and she once again denied . THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY WORKING CAMARAS IN THIS FACILITY . While dealing with this inconvenience I would also see them constantly smoke marijuana on their breaks and returning to daycare to care for these kids drugged out! I later on wrote a review to bring awareness to everything that was happening in this facility . They reached out to me multiple times to get it taken down and even threatened me . I decided to delete the review since I was tired of getting harassed with false accusations after several bad reviews were posted by different parents . I decided to delete the review and the following day they were paying people $15 gift cards to write positive reviews to help with their complaints. THIS SHOULD NOT BE AN OPERATING DAY CARE AND THEY NEED NEW STAFF ALONG WITH BETTER MANAGEMENT. This is screenshot proof of my review going viral on the internet . They later on proceed to say all those negative reviews were from me . Although all of these reviews are from Previous employees and parents. The teachers at A Child's Touch have played such a vital role in her development--they've been like a second family, helping raise her with patience, warmth, and care. While my daughter is naturally a happy girl, I know that her daily happiness is in no small part thanks to the incredible environment created at the school. She starts her day excited and comes home just as cheerful. It amazes me to see how much she has learned--counting to ten, reciting the alphabet, singing tons of full songs--and I know these milestones are a direct reflection of the amazing teaching and support she receives from the staff. In addition to all my daughter's teachers, every staff member I have spoken to or worked with has been beyond helpful. ACT has a fantastic group of employees.

Unfortunately there are two staff members who should not teach children who act like they have miserable lives. They were my child's teachers and every single day no smiles, not happy and not communicative to parents. My child loved her first year here, didn't struggle with goodbyes until she moved into this classroom and she would not want me to leave, one of the teachers walked up and grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her to the other side of the classroom telling her it's time to be at school and made her cry even more. If I could have missed work that day I would have. I do not feel children are safe in that classroom. He never once getting down on her level to try to make her feel comfortable or offer any sort of empathy. She told me she was scared to go every day. My last straw was when my child told me that another kid followed them into the bathroom and touched their private parts. They told the teacher and not only did I NOT get a call from the teachers, and NOT get an an incident report, they told me my child made it up. The office staff was absolutely useless, first claiming to "investigate" which just meant I had to follow up with them for any answer. They said it never happened. One of my child's teachers told my child in front of me that they made it up and that never happened. I had to demand my child was switched to another class room. I do not recommend. My child is still upset about getting touched inappropriately and I hate that it was met with absolutely no support.

They would frequently pull the front desk/admin lady in as a floater to try to get closer to the ratio, but that lady had zero interest in interacting with the children and would ignoring crying children (definitely not a qualified group leader) or leave the room. My son hated going, and when I went to pick him up I would find him just standing around bored and desperate to see me (rather than interacting with the toys or adult in the room). At his new daycare, he is always is happily playing when I arrive. I counted 16 separate violations of the RULES REGULATING CHILD CARE CENTERS code, but I was afraid to report all their numerous code violations for fear of retribution against my son. I doubt they have cleaned up their act, so just avoid this place.

I feel like the teachers go above and beyond & are always having class parties & different activities for the kids. I also like the fact that they have an open door policy & welcome parents to drop in at any time. This is a family owned business and there is almost zero turn over with employees which says a lot in itself! Some of the ladies have been there over 20 years- a true testament to the business they are running. I also love the fact that my daughter was potty trained BEFORE her 2nd birthday. I am so thankful we heard about A New Generation (through a family friend whos daughter went there for years & they were very happy with them as well) & would highly recommend them!

Ok, called the pharmacy and had to have them printed so the kids could go back to school. Another day out. Then they are there for a week and this is what happens today. Aren't you the ones who should k ow how to calm a tantrum? Don't you're employees go to school and get training on how to handle a tantrum? Then, when I speak to the new director she tells me, " oh I know, I'd be mad too if I was being told this as a parent." Then when asked if they tell all the parents there that they're kids can't be there if they're crying, Jasmine states we are not able to handle it." They know he loves to be active and move around, so the try to tailor lessons to fit his interests. If it involves dinosaurs, they know he will participate :) I feel good leaving him there every morning. He has friends and knows all of his teachers' names. He also enjoys their cooking, which is a plus. I like that the facility has live cameras so I can check in on him throughout the day. His teachers are also good about posting updates in the app, including photos of his activities, how much he ate at lunch, how many times he went the bathroom, etc. Overall, I can't recommend La Petite enough!

Based on what she reported to us, the environment felt unwelcoming and hostile. One staff member became visibly emotional when our daughter was hired, which created an uncomfortable and inappropriate situation. There were also serious concerns about unequal treatment and behavior that appeared discriminatory. Additionally, our daughter shared troubling reports about how some children--particularly students from veteran families--were treated, which raised further concerns about the school's culture and leadership. As parents, we expect any school to uphold basic standards of respect, fairness, and professionalism. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. We cannot recommend this school to other families.

My daughter loves going to school, she talks about all the things they're learning. It's obvious they take pride in the service they provide. Everyone is kind, helpful, friendly. Would definitely recommend!
