Not only is everything sound now structurally, but Nick also paid a lot of attention to details and everything looks great! From the look on the exterior with the Azek, to the detail work on all the trim around the windows and door, to the choice of quality products for our door and the windows and trim work and structure, the room looks great inside and out! As usual, some things came up (water damage inside a wall that needed addressing, screen issue with the windows due to a window company glitch) as tends to occur on jobs, and Nick handled it professionally. He kept his word and followed up on everything that needed to be followed up on until the job was finished. He was also in close communication with his crew to ensure that everything was handled well, and made sure his guys were on the job on time and doing things correctly. Nick and company is like a needle in a haystack when it comes to contractors! Make sure you book your job ASAP! The company is growing and Nick is getting very busy so don't put off your job, go ALL IN! Now! IDK yelp has me in California, lol, I'm in NY.

Following Superstorm Sandy, my neighborhood was flooded with fliers for American General…read moreContracting (AGC). Several of my neighbors hired them (and eventually fired them). Their sales rep came to my house mid-November and told me that the work was being done on a first come first serve basis. He had me sign some paperwork and told me I would get the contract shortly. I was assured the job would be completed by the end of December 2012. I had completed the rip-out and cleanup for the most part when they showed up 2 weeks later to do the rip-out. The guy they sent to oversee my job turned out to be a flooring installer from New Jersey and a convicted felon that barely spoke English. They made no disclosure that they were sending a convict to my house. They started the sheetrock and spackle. They started some of the flooring. They started the electrical work. They started the plumbing. They started the cabinets. They completed none of the above. The quality of workmanship was horrible and in the months that passed, I could not get the owners to come see what was happening to my house. It's now a year later. The job is not even 10% completed and they are trying to bill me as though the job is completed, for work they never did, and materials they never used. In addition, I never did get a legitimate contract with a list of work they will perform and a completion date (as required by law). I waited this long to warn others because only now has the statute of limitations run out for them to put a lien on my house as they threatened multiple times. I feel more victimized by the owners of AGC, Rob and Rich K. than I do by Sandy.

Four years ago, All Island Restoration worked on our whole…read moredownstairs of our home after a flood we had in the kitchen. we needed our floor replaced because the water warped our pergo floor. When it was time to pick our flooring, my husband and I went looking for a floor in our given price range. We went to Home Depot and Floor and Decor and picked out flooring that we liked. Alexis kept telling us that she had a place for us to pick out flooring and kept avoiding talking about flooring we like from other companies. Since we were into the project for approximately 8 months already due to COVID, we decided to go with her contact. We wound up picking a floor with their contact, but we're concerned about how thin the flooring was since it was going over tile that was under our original pergo We were told not to worry about it and that they would make sure that everything was done right. About a month after install, the floor started buckling. We callEd All Island to ask Jay, the owner to come take a look at the floor. He said it would cost us $7,000 to redo the floor. We explained that we had reservations about putting this thin floor in, given our circumstances and that Alexis assured us that it would be fine and they'd take care of it. Jay told us flat out that he would replace it for another $7,000. Since then the floor has been separating in many places and even sticking up. We cut our feet on it and my husband had to tape it down. Since we only looked at samples and don't know the company they got this floor from, we have no warranty on it and have to redo the entire floor ( in four rooms of my home) costing us $9,000 more only four years later. The reason we waited these few years was because we knew it was going to cost a lot to redo this floor. Now we are in the process of getting it done right at a big cost. Home Depot professions said they don't even sell less than 8mm thick flooring, but All Island installed 5mm even after our concerns. I have many pictures of this disaster. When Jay visited us, he went around our kitchen kicking the planks to close up multiple gaps. The flooring was a big part of this disaster, but there is way more that happened with the crew that was working on our project. Paint splatter on our brand new windows and screens, holes left in corners of the room, kitchen cabinet handles screwed in crooked, grout started falling out of the backsplash tiles, and I could go on. Wish they would have done right by us.
