Got to appointment and again she said tint and shape and I again said tint only. She talks me into tinting eyelashes also. As she's tinting she doing some rubbing which ends up being shaving. She then does a bit of plucking which ends up being plucking the gray hairs I came to have tinted. She hands me a mirror and my brows are GONE! A fine line of brows left which are not even on both sides. So shocked I can't comment. She then charges me $100 which I pay like an idiot! Additionally I can't see any tint on my lashes.

The guy that checked me out (same gentleman as before; I am assuming one of the managers) stated I could not use 2 discounts, I explained I only wanted the $5 card for my next visit, especially due to the almost hour wait and I still spent $100. He said he would not. At that very moment, I decided I would no longer patronize Milano Nail Salon in Germantown. When you consistently spend over $100 on nail services, IX monthly, there should be some consideration when appointments are not kept by the staff. Unfortunately she's no longer working at the franchise in efforts of receiving her degree. Which I salute and applaud her because school isn't for the weak! My last two recent visits were serviced by Sarah. Professional, personable and comforting through her words of encouragement. I'm elaborating the word "comforting " because if you're a first time wax (conventional or sugaring) client it could be misleading as everyone's tolerance level towards pain varies. Except that not only did this suspend my membership, and so did not work the way it was explained to me, in the intervening month the entire program was discontinued. Corporate headquarters informed me that (though when signing up for the Pass there was no indication that I was entering a contract with anyone other than the corporate entity), they took no responsibility for this or the fact that there was NO NOTIFICATION of the termination of the program sent to members. They flatly refused any assistance and told me it was the Memphis franchisee's responsibility to resolve the issue. I called the manager again. She returned my call saying that I could at least begin paying the monthly fee again and not be out the over $300 that I had lost. I went into the store to do so and had booked a service as well. When I arrived, I was informed that I could not, in fact, do this. I was provided a free service that day (the manager, to be fair, was as helpful as I think she was able to be at this point), but am still out a fair amount of money. I hate that I cannot continue to visit Tiana for service - again, she is fantastic - but I cannot give business to an establishment that wouldn't even offer to split the difference on a gift card to keep a loyal customer.

I choose Stephanie Brick as my makeup artist for my wedding last year. First, i must say that I've been friends with Stephanie for many years but that had nothing to do with my decision to book her. I checked out prices and work of a couple of other artists and Stephanie was by far the best price for the level of work. Once i booked her she got an idea of what look I was going for and I sent her some pictures of ideas and styles I had. She asked about my skin tone, my skin type, color palette, etc. Next we set an appointment for the trial run. She came to my house with all her supplies in tow and worked through some of the looks we discussed. She tried out different colors for lips, cheeks, and foundation and then did my full make up to show me what I could look forward to based on my specifications. She took lots of pictures and was very attentive to my wants and needs. The day of my wedding came and she arrived early. Her kit and supplies were even more extensive than the trial but she was super organized. We also planned for her to do makeup for my bridesmaids. She had the timing figured out and knew exactly how much time she could spend on each person. Everyone looked flawless and my bridesmaids were thrilled that they didn't have to worry about doing their own makeup the day of. While, she did different looks for each person she also maybe everyone mesh and used color tones that complimented the dress colors and wedding theme. She did my makeup up in waves, allowing me to spend time with my bridal party and left plenty of time for me to get dressed. Once everyone was ready to go she went back and touched up anything she felt needed a second look. I was more than happy with my own make up. I wear make up daily but not a lot and was very adamant about looking beautiful but not fake. I wanted to look great but still like myself. She achieved this flawlessly. The best part about having Stephanie as my make up artist was that she was professional but not stiff. She was fun to have around while we are getting ready and really made the experience stress free and easy, which every bride should covet on their already stress-ridden wedding day. Stephanie really knows her stuff. She has the best products and her brushes and kit was clean and organized. I could tell she prepared specifically for my event and that made me feel special and resulted in beautiful make up on not just me but the girls that stood beside me in my big day. She gave me great tips and pointers for everyday makeup wear in the process and was just all around awesome. She tailored her tools and skills to execute what I asked for, not just what she thought was best, which made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I can not say enough good things about Stephanie! First off, she is the ultimate eyelash saver. The first time I came to see her my eyelash extensions were a COMPLETE mess. I had gone to a much cheaper spa and learned the hard way you get what you pay for. My eyelashes were damaged and had 2 cheap extensions hanging on. Stephanie spent 2 and a half hours making sure my lashes looked amazing and that I got the look I wanted ! I also had my make up done by her and it looked INCREDIBLE. Now, besides being awesome at what she does, she is an awesome person, very sweet and easy to talk to. She's a great self confidence booster and has tons of beauty tips. You will not be disappointed! She's absolutely perfect. I've always had trouble figuring out how to highlight and contour but Stephanie helped me and now I have it down and can get my makeup done so quickly. Oh and talk about eyebrows! Stephanie is an amazing makeup artist and a fantastic teacher to boot! She has done both hair and makeup for collaborations with a shop that I manage on South Main called Red Velvet Vintage, and the styling is spot on for the retro and pin up styles that we carry. She's definitely got the perfect touch for creating that glamorous vintage look. Also, her instructional videos on YouTube attest to her skills as a teacher. Stephanie is awesome!! She did my wedding make-up a few weeks ago, and she was so kind, knowledgeable, and efficient. I generally don't wear a lot of make-up, and she worked with me so that I'd still feel like myself with more make-up on than I'm used to. Such a clean and well kept business, and true to appointment time. I asked Mrs. Stephanie to do my makeup prior to a formal event. I think I was given what seems to be called a "combo brow". The ink is so dark, deep, and fake looking. I was sucked in by photo shopped instagram and FB photos. Do not make the same mistake. These things look horrible and I am going to have to spend a fortune to get them properly removed. This place also advertises that this is semi permanent makeup. Nothing semi permanent about it. It semi permanently looks decent and then you are left with gray sharpie looking eyebrows. I could also maybe deal with the combo brows if one brow was not drawn significantly outside of my hair line. I literally have two tails. I am not sure why I have waited so long to leave this review but I have to warn others to steer clear. I know several others who have gone to this place and their brows are uneven as well. I notice that it is always the right brow that is overarched and not even with the left.
