Stephanie has done three photo sessions now for our family , All have been difficult sessions for any photographer , my first being a maternity session I was pregnant with twins at 32 weeks, i was most nervous and body self conscious, Stephanie put me at ease and was very patient, the photos were amazing I was in love with my body, I looked beautiful, it was my first pregnancy and my last so these photos will always be a reminder on how lucky I was to be pregnant and what a beautiful chapter in my life, I cant wait to show them my beautiful daughters when they are older. I also have them on my wall they are beautiful. Next came my not so new born photos, my daughters spent some time in the Nicu so could not get those new born looks and at a few months old my daughters were not so happy for a camera, they were crying etc however Stephanie again was so calm when I was so stressed and she caught the perfect images , she also like in the other session captures fine detail that I would never think of, the close up of hands feet, the scenery she captured moments when I never knew the camera was there. My most recent one was a Christmas shoot 16 months old girls , , when the twins woke from a nap they had running noses were not well she could not of come on a worse day . I thought to myself no more photos till they are 10 years old well when i received the file , I could cry with emotion, our family looks like it popped out of a magazine the quality of the photos are just outstanding , She does not just take a photo she captures a story my story mine and my husbands happiest in having our long awaited babies, our daughters personalities, ONE WORD MAGICAL I see lots of pictures and through social media I can spot Stephanie a mile off, it just stands out. I was looking for someone to come to the house to do family photos since we had all of our kids home for the holidays. I went out to 3 different photographers and Stephanie was the most responsive and quick to ask questions and get to know what I was looking for. Given the time of year that I was looking to have the photos done she worked with me to find another time (during the summer given that would be when my kids would be back) to reshoot the pictures of weather became an issue. Luckily the weather held up and she was able to come. When she came she was so friendly and wonderful. She was great with the two little ones and interacted with them the whole time. Because of that the little kids were great the whole time she took photos which was a huge feat given how rambunctious they both are. During the whole photo shoot I didn't feel like I was being rushed because she had somewhere else to go which has happened to me with other photographers. She also made sure she got all variations of photos we wanted (just kids, whole family, just the boys or girls, etc.) Once the pictures were done she was responsive to when the photos would be ready for viewing. She came back out to the house to give us a slide show presentation of the pictures. She took her time and didn't make us feel pressured about what we wanted to purchase. We decided to just do digital because the kids are located all over the place. She also gave us great advice about what we should look for when we do actually get them printed. Overall I'm extremely happy with everything she's done and the amount of time and dedication to give us the exact pictures we wanted. Stephanie worked with us to take pictures of our 18 month old daughter, and she put in a high degree of effort to ensure we had a fantastic experience. We cannot speak highly enough of Stephanie and the quality of her work, and we very highly recommend her for anyone who is interested in outstanding professional pictures. Prior to the photo shoot, she was in constant contact to plan what type of pictures we wanted, including shots we wanted to try. Stephanie took our feedback into account and offered some great ideas of her own, including an absolutely adorable dress as an option for our daughter to wear. On the day of the shoot, Stephanie had everything set up well in advance of our arrival (and we arrived nearly 30 minutes early!) at the location that we chose. She had an abundance of excellent shot ideas, as well as great props that could be used. We tried a mixture of poses and candid shots, and Stephanie really did well making the setting comfortable and natural. Upon deciding which pictures to select, Stephanie was very helpful and patient. She worked with us to choose the option that was best for us both personally and financially. Stephanie is so fantastic. From the moment I emailed her, she remained in constant communication with me and worked with me on a vision that complemented both her photography style and what I was looking for in maternity pictures. She invited me to her home where we discussed outfits and secured a date and venue. When our date came up in January, the weather was not very cooperative. Stephanie was so flexible and worked with me via texting to keep an eye on the calendar and weather forecast to get the perfect day. Not only did we end up with perfect weather, the venue she chose was beyond what I imagined and she made it appear even more beautiful in the pictures she took. Stephanie Honikel's abilities as a portrait/infant/maternal photographer are amazing. When we first received our maternity photos we were blown away at how well Stephanie used the available light, framed each photo, and how well she positioned us in each shot - despite having a "less than photogenic" husband :). Following the birth Stephanie returned for our infant photos and we were again speechless. Not only is she an unreal photographer but she is a professional baby whisperer. Our baby boy didn't peep a word during the whole two hour session despite numerous position changes, cold rooms, and background noises. Stephanie was amazing during our recent photo shoot and I had to get the package with all the pictures because there were so many amazing ones! I couldn't choose. I had made a big mistake for my wedding and focused on the price more than the quality of the photography. That is one of the biggest regrets I have and I made sure not to repeat the same mistake for my maternity and newborn shoot. The quality of Stephanie's photos are phenomenal and she made my husband and I feel at ease during the whole shoot. Without her direction I would have just stood there but because of her vision, the photos are artistic, don't look staged, and the lighting she captured is spectacular. Stephanie is amazing! She is sweet and patient and you can tell immediately that she loves what she does. My 4 year old daughter was not feeling 100% that day and Stephanie still managed to get her to smile and most importantly have fun. My 2 year old son quickly warmed up to her as well and she was able to get really beautiful images, even though he can be quite shy. The pictures captured their personalities perfectly and she made us all look really good. You could also tell she really cared about each and every image and put a lot of time and effort behind the scenes to make sure they were incredible, and that is priceless! Stephanie is amazing! The weather during our maternity shoot did not cooperate and after spending hours trying to take pictures in the blistering heat and humidity, she agreed to re-do the entire shoot on another day so that we could get high quality pictures. During the newborn shoot, she was able to maneuver our little one with so much patience that he did not wake up once in the 3 hour period and the pictures turned out beyond our expectations. She truly is a baby whisperer. Stephanie is always on time and patient and makes sure her clients get exactly what they are looking for. I'm so happy I stumbled upon Stephanie's site! Her body of work was the look and style I wanted for my own maternity pictures. She's very sweet, patient, and with her creative direction made us feel very comfortable from the get go. I especially loved the candid moments she captured between my husband and I along with our golden doodle! We had such a wonderful experience with Stephanie! She obviously loves what she does and really cares about her clients. Our 6 month old has recently developed some "stranger danger" mentality and was being more fussy than smiley. She put so much effort into getting him to warm up, but when it became apparent he wasn't going to give, she was so kind to offer a makeup session! She definitely was in no way obligated to do that, but I couldn't be more grateful for her patience and flexibility. I really enjoyed having Stephanie take photos of my family. She was always delightful and easy to work with. Response times to any questions were always fast even when she was on vacation out of the country. She was always on time. We never felt rushed or constrained by time. On the day of my daughter's birth, she was with us from 8am to 4pm. She was always kind to my children... even when they weren't cooperating..... even when they were interrupting her. She has quite the skill for photo editing and she got the photos back to us rather quickly. She took and gave more photos than she promised. The products were high quality. I signed up for my first ever 'Mommy and Me' session with Stephanie for Mother's Day . It was not until after our session that I learned it was her first Mommy and Me session as well and that her business was still up and coming. I never would have guessed that she hadn't done it for years and years. Stephanie is a fantastic photographer! We recently hosted a 60th anniversary party for our parents at our home. We had 38 guests, from 4 months to 86 years old, 5 dogs and pure chaos.
