They work with our crazy schedule and are so kind and helpful when my children have to come with me. I ended up needing some extra work on an implant that was placed by an oral surgeon and he and his staff have been my biggest advocates. I do need another implant that was explanted by my precious oral surgeon and will only allow Dr. Spivey to place it or any other cosmetic procedures I may need in the future. I have not had any issues with them filing my dental claims as stated previously by other patients. I have zero complaints with his bed side manor. He straight to the point and explains in more detail if I ask him questions about what it is that needs to be done. However, I don't believe that having bedside manner has any impact on any dentist or doctor what so ever. Dr. Spivey and his hygienists (Becky) have always been very kind to me. Yes, are there times he is in and out quickly, but I'm not the only patient he has in a chair to be seen. I would rather a skilled dentist perform my procedures over one that has a bedside manner that makes me feel good about myself. He and his staff always answer any question(s) I have. I have been to the good bedside manner oral surgeon before and yet here I sit with one implant having to be removed and another that Dr. Spivey had to fix because of the surgeons error. I love this dental office and will only go here for my dental needs from now on. (My husband feels the same way). Also his wife is a pediatric dentist down the road who sees my kiddos and they adore her! So if you need a pediatric dentist look at her practice as well. They are very good at what they do and the office staff are always kind and accommodating.

They are rude and tell you insurance want pay for certain things and you have to get your insurance deptment on them!! They want to hold on to your credit from insurance that has paid them. Originally it was not a big deal to drive over there but the last two times I went, it took over an hour to go 8.1 miles due to traffic. In one case, I had to reschedule before I was over 15 minutes late even though I had called to let them know. Was able to reschedule and got in the same day. I've been a patient since sometime this summer. My wife found this practice and moved over sometime around the first of the year. Reason she moved is that we are both Seniors and have Medicare Advantage Plans with Dental Benefits. For some reason, we could never get them to bill our Insurance Company. Granted the coverage was not that much but a couple of thousand is a couple of thousand that does not come out of my pocket. Her Dentist is Dr. Allison Kelleher and she loves her and the great service she gets. I have Dr. Andy Pernell and he was the founder of this Service. When I came over, I already knew that I had some major issues related to resorption of tissue under the gums. On the initial examination, Dr. Pernell also that I had a cavity under a bridge under my upper molars. Made an appointment and came back and the bridge was removed, the cavity was filled, and a temporary bridge installed. Went back last week and got the permanent bridge installed. This was the first cavity I've had in over 10 years. I have an appointment in January to address the resorbtion issues on the lower molars. That said he referred me to Dr. Getz at North State Perio and he has examined me and we are schedules for planning and deep cleaning in December.

We also talked about my night grinding & an in office retainer was built. I had the crown done & I am so thrilled with the easy painless process. This is such a stark difference from the dentist I saw in Maryland. I had never had real dental work done before and at my prior dentist they identified I needed a crown. It was such a traumatizing experience that I was terrified when Summit advised I needed another one done. I also was given a plastic mold at the prior dentist that I had to put in hot water and try to fit myself - It never worked and it made me gag so I just stopped using it. Such a drastic difference between these offices- thank you Summit. My dentist fears are now gone.

Then after 2 1/2 hours the dentist told her she would not pull the tooth, and charged her $25 for the X-Ray. If she wasn't going to pull the tooth, she should have said so, and not had her wait 2 1/2 hours. I also would not have charged anyone $25 for a X-Ray that was useless if I were not performing the work. What a bad job of customer service.

We showed up at the office when they had already closed but still had a couple women that were packing up. They heard me knocking on the door and saw my son's teeth and instantly called Dr. Taylor and she came back to the office and went straight to work on my son! She did an amazing job putting his tooth back in place and informing us all the things we have to do to keep his tooth safe and limited damage.
