Its really heart breaking that I write this review but when Eric brought up my kids autism diagnosis and tried to use that for getting them life insurance. It has now come to a point that I have to write a personal review on my experience with Eric and Farmers Insurance. When an agent startals saying things about autism that you know nothing about, and even expresses that my family has shared too much on social media about my kids. Well I think its also important to share that he views autism as terminal and sad diagnosis. My husband and I have repeatdly told him that we were not interested. He reaches out via text and FB messenger. Pros: (one star for that) 1. He will drive to your house to explain things for you. He drove from inland empire area to OC area. You dont have to meet Eric at his office. Top 5 Cons: 1. Dishonest. We looked at other life insurance and informed him that we were looking at "riders benefit." He has claimed that if we canceled our life insurance with Farmers we our bundle discount with auto and home will increase. First of all, thats not true, property and life insurance DO NOT bundle together. 2. Claims Adjuster at Farmers are not that customer friendly. I had a car accident in December 2018. It was not fault. The claims adjuster were asking questions based on a Google Map from 2016. Eric told me that I should always call him first because claims adjusters from Farmers are not that great. Bashing his own company. 3. Preys on my kids diagnosis of autism and has no knowledge what it is!!!! He appears to see it as a terminal diagnosis and continues to provide false information that it will give your child a "financial start in life" and that he only insures kids that he cares about. Pay attention to the rate of return, its not that great! He even came to my kids bday party and tried to market by wearing his Farmers Market polo and jacket. 4. Passive aggressive. Uses pity to make have you buy from him by telling you that he is at the verge of losing his house and sends you screen shot of his business deficit. 5. Has alot of learning to do with Life Insurance. He didnt know about Riders Benefits when he did his presentation. He knows now because thats one of the main reason I switch and looked for other competitors. 6. Even after you cut the cord and cancel, he will try to have you overlap coverage because of his commission. And if he knows you got kids, he will continue to bug you like an annoying commercial without the entertainment. ****** Buyers beware. And dont add him FB. He will stock you. He will add your friends to see if he can market his services. He has no kids. Customer service and knowledge definitely lacking on how to be kind, considerate, and understanding to kids with special needs. I am telling the truth and I have screen shots to prove it and i hope Farmers Insurance is aware because it is borderline harassment!!!

Maria very well may be a capable agent, but be prepared for horrible communication and extreme moodiness. If they feel like responding they will, if they don't then no soup for you. While I was working with them on a very urgent matter, they would take days to reply to an email or return a phone call. Another time they closed for 2 consecutive non-holiday business days with no explanation, no email replies, no outgoing message explaining the closure, and a full voicemail box. When I very politely asked about this, she said it's none of my business and quite rudely scolded me for having the nerve to ask. It's not her fault if insurance companies are slow to respond. But rather than just tell us this, they choose to be non-responsive, refuse to give simple updates, and blame the customer for simply requesting proper communication.
