About a year ago we decided to buy an apartment at a retirement community for my parents in FL. We live in VA so we didn't know many people who could help us with this. Finding out that Mike also works in FL was the best thing that could've happened to us. A transaction that was supposed to close in 3 months lasted about 7 months. During this time he was our go to person for any question we had regarding the property. He helped us to navigate the extensive number of steps required by retirement communities in Broward Country, was always available and worked tirelessly to make sure we had the best deal. Once again I cannot recommend him enough and I'm looking forward to working with him in the future!

The home we purchased was uninhabitable which makes it very difficult to get a conventional home loan. Mike had the flexibility and know-how to navigate us through an innovative renovation/mortgage combination loan that allowed us to surmount all the obstacles to getting a loan for our major fixer upper home! And at a much better rate than other renovation loans. Further, Mike is incredible easy to work with as a first-time home buyer. He patiently explained every step of the process to me (several times) and took an endless number of phone calls and emails with all my questions thoroughly answered. His staff is also incredibly helpful and quick to answer me at all hours of the day and night. Thank you to Cindi and Chris for all you did for us!

What a disappointment. I had a fantastic experience with GMM while helping my boyfriend purchase…read morehis home in Fairfax a few years ago. I liked them so much I referred friends to them every chance I got. Now that I'm purchasing myself of course I chose them. Alison from the Richmond office and her assistant Stephen are FANTASTIC. However, upon discovering that GMM is offering grants to first-time homebuyers it turns out that 3 of their 15 branches are not currently a part of the program. Surprise, GMM chose to focus on the more lucrative DC area. Ok, fine. But why does the site not say that? Why doesn't the site say anything in detail about the requirements? I had to talk to the CEO himself to even find out what locations are valid with the grant. No-one beneath that level dared to answer that question when I emailed it because they don't have a good answer. So, GMM is enticing people in with the offer of a grant up to $10k if you meet some mysterious unstated qualifications? Disingenuous at best, sketchy at worst. And CEO Bill Landon? Antagonistic, presumptive, strong-arming, and a demeaning mansplaining guy. Seriously dude, if I'm not done asking a question stop trying to interrupt me to answer. I don't care if you're a CEO. The only reason you're talking to a little nothing of a first-time homebuyer is because you know this is wrong. But thanks for "understanding where I'm coming from."
