Extremely Disappointed with AAA Service…read more I'm extremely disappointed with the service I received from AAA. I got a flat tire coming off the Thruway and was in desperate need of roadside assistance. I was only 1.7 miles from a dealership, so I called AAA for help. After 40 minutes, there was still no tow truck assigned to my service call. I received no meaningful update, no follow-up, and no indication that anyone was actually coming to help me. At that point, I had no choice but to put Fix-a-Flat in the tire and carefully limp the vehicle the 1.7 miles to the dealership myself. Even after I arrived at the dealership, AAA still had not assigned a tow truck. I ultimately had to cancel the service call because it was obvious that help wasn't coming. I cannot even begin to express how angry and disappointed I am. I'm a AAA Platinum member, and I pay for this level of service specifically because I expect AAA to be there when I need them most. Instead, when I actually needed assistance, I was essentially left on my own with no communication and no follow-through. This experience has seriously damaged my trust in AAA. If this is what Platinum membership gets me when I'm stranded and need help, I have to seriously question why I'm paying for it.

First they…read more"forgot" to cancel the insurance on my truck that I sold in February (I didn't notice until 2 weeks ago because I'm on auto pay from an account I don't really look at), then they "accidentally" sent the wrong portfolio over to my mortgage broker for my homeowners insurance that is in escrow. The truck cost me over $200, and the homeowners insurance mistake was over $400. Yes I'm getting the money back, but the fact that I had to catch the mistakes, and that I was out of that money for any period of time is unfathomable. I honestly was torn about making this a public review, but that was until I made a private post on my personal Facebook page that said exactly the same thing as above (I copied and pasted it verbatim) which lead to the owner Doug Dier calling my cell phone after business hours yesterday evening to basically try to guilt me and pressure me into removing it. He claimed he was calling to follow up on everything, but spent the entire conversation placing blame elsewhere, and if it were nothing more than a professional "follow up call" then he would have stuck to my issues and not brought up my Facebook post. He accused me of making the situation seem worse, and said I didn't even mention that I got the money back (I absolutely did as I am not in the business of slander). So, if you want to have to be your own insurance agent, as well as feel harassed by the owner for your personal life, then by all means, this is the company for you.

This geico location's staff took photos and gave us a copy of "no damage" paperwork. Today, August 27, we get a collision cancellation notice from geico because we didn't get pictures taken. This Geico location dropped the ball and never processed our photos to Geico. Geico even notified our bank stating no collision coverage. What a mess! We spent a good part of this morning in the phone trying to get this fixed. I gave them 1 star because there isn't a "0" star option.
