The greens aren't the best, but it is still a really good course overall! Fairways are beautiful! They do not book tee times over the phone, and their number is actually shut off. So just show up on the weekend and play!! 15 bucks for 9 holes and 25 for 18 holes. Do not bring your children or wives here unless they are golfers themselves! Please respect the rules of this course! You cannot bring your own alcohol either. Buy it from Jimmy if you want to drink. 10/10

I have wondered if two stars is too high. The staff was extremely friendly so that is the only reason I am giving it two. The course should be shut down. I get it is January and the grass would be dormient. That does not explain the "moon scape" of the fairways. Huge potholes everywhere. The tee boxes are so hard you can't get tees in them. Then there are the tee boxes that have backhoe damage on them. Why is a backhoe on a tee box? Then the greens are a joke. The sand traps have rocks in them. If I had paid $15 maybe it would be ok. That is a huge maybe. My husband and I play golf a lot all over the world. This is the worst course conditions we have ever had. It may have been better not to play golf? We looked on line and saw they had some tee times the day of so that is why we went. The price on line was $38. We drove there and to book there on sight was $45. The day wasn't great as well as the pace of play was so so so slow. We had a four some of ladies playing best ball. Two of the four couldn't hit the ball more than four feet or swang and miss. I am all for newbies. Especially ladies. However, you got to be smart about it. It wouldn't have been difficult to let us play through either as we were usually at the tee box with them. Thankfully, they stopped at the turn and only played nine and that is when we found out it really didn't matter because they had a foursome in front of them that was drunk and as bad at golf as the ladies with mouths of sailors. We got so fed-up we drove through on hole 13. I don't know if I have seen people so drunk on a golf course in a while. I do blame the lady at the front. It was clear she knew them. We were a twosome. We knew it was going to be slow, but we could have also gone off before them. When we drove through the last foursome, we didn't have anyone in front of us the rest of the round no matter how fast we went. We play fast. Additionally, on the front nine we had the two some behind us drive into us three times. It is so unacceptable. We were stuck between a slow foursome and a fast twosome. The last time he hit into us I drove back to him and said please go in front of us and see what we are dealing with. I wish I could say it was one guy. We got hit into again on the back nine by another player. Unreal! It sort of speaks to the type of players on this course. Newbies, that drink while they play and don't get the unspoken rules of golf. Do note there is no attire restrictions on this course. Overall, a bad day on a golf course is a better than a day at work but this wasn't really golf. This was hitting a white ball in the hill country. Save your money and time and go elsewhere. We had played here before, so we know it wasn't this bad the last time we played here. Hard to say is it going down or is it on its way up. Along the river you can see they are doing some work, but we will not be back. Not for the condition of the course.

They never disclosed that most Tuesday are maintenance days, nor did they ever disclose that certain members are allowed to make multiple, consecutive tee times on weekdays during the most desirable morning hours, effectively forcing members not in the club-within- the club to take the midday tee times. When you have a Mon-Thursday membership, this essentially means your membership is actually 2 days per week with some additional half days mixed in. Its a rather discriminatory and disappointing policy.

There's two courses, an easy and harder one. Do one or do both courses. Depending on the weather, it could be a really nice day out or terrible. Plan accordingly. You do have to wait in a queue and it does get annoying, however if you're not pressed on time, and just have fun, then I'm all about it. However we went on a cold-ish day and still had fun. Not a long wait or anything. Order food whenever you're done or want to take a break and come back! I'd come back again for a fun group activity.

Each hole is unique and challenging. The course is cut out of the woods so there no homes. There are some cabins you can stay in that are fully furnished. We did an over night golf trip and parked our golf carts at our cabin. The place is 1st class!

The gentleman shared a local glazed donut with me (which was awesome) told me a little about the course and we were off! The course was in great shape, the greens too! What a beautiful day and a beautiful round. Pace of play was ever a problem, beverage snack crew came around plenty of times and they were very accommodating. Weeks later we are still talking about it and looking for an excuse to drive back! These guys cram an entire high school golf team 30 minutes in front of our tee time and have the gall to tell me "oh they'll be gone long before you get up the tee box, they play fast"; our threesome literally took nearly 3 hours to play the front nine holes, on a WEEKDAY!!! We were waiting two groups deep on nearly every single hole in front nine of this crappy course. Then on hole number nine some ignorant yet again sorry excuse of a marshal comes up and has the nerve to tell us "Hey we need you to rush to get off this hole so you can get to the 10th hole before 5:30; we don't see an issue with you guys make it through but the group behind you wants to play the last hole before 5:30 so could you hurry it up?" I was literally two seconds away from reading this POS the riot act. Back nine was much more pleasant but the downright lying no good service has ruined it for me, forever. Note: the greens on first 4-5 holes were absolute trash, second cut of rough was unmanaged left uncut for months, etc. pathetic.
