So I just watch this video and I find this to be a concerning video on this business having poor work ethics ! Secondly the individual was accused by a customer that he was cursing . As there appears that there is no evidence of this occurring on any video . So poor work ethics if you repair the tire once and it went flat the same night could it be that you may of miss the valve stem ? Secondly a good business man would of replace the valve stem which might cost 5 dollars and 10 mins of labor putting it in and you would of had a satisfied possible repeat costomer . As Far as cursing at a costomer that is freedom of Speech and this has been proven time and time again in the supreme court . Now your business is on the map of a place I would not go to . I've been taking my car to Steve Hepp now for years, and now take my girlfriend's car, my step-daughter's car and most recently my youngest daughter's car. These guys have been great! They're honest and upfront about how long it takes them to do the job and their estimates are usually dead on the money. They really don't play games on the cost the repair will take. The guy behind the counter is friendly and accommodating and will go out of his way to communicate between you and the mechanic and the mechanics and cool too! They'll take the time to go over the repairs with you. They put everything in laymen's terms very well. They've always gotten around to fix my car in a reasonable amount of time too. Probably the best independent shop I've ever been to. Nothing fancy but a very fair and honest operation with knowledgeable, friendly staff. This is the only place to bring your car, regardless of where you live in upstate NY. The owner took the time to actually show me what was wrong with my vehicle and to educate me on the cause of such a problem. It was amazing. The staff is so kind, and I have never seen them without a full lot. Everyone person I talk to who has been here says they are fantastic, and agree with me when I say that I will never take my car any place else. Ding ding ding!!! "Low oil pressure" receiving this warning while driving 3.5 hours away from home (Brooklyn NY) was bad news for me. After so much bad experience with auto mechanics ripping me off, I simply felt lost not knowing what mechanic is going to be the best of the worst and where I should take my car for a check up. I decided to search on Yelp.com, and it came up a list of mechanics, but non of them had good enough ratings, on till I found Stephen Hepp's Auto Service. I made an appointment with them, and drove down to them (a 30 mile drive). I thought that I'm gonna take the risk of driving down as far just to get a good and honest mechanic. All I can say is, it paid off well well. They took the time to listen to what I have to say, explained to me how they're going to check it, and by the time the car got back to me, the cost was just $38.95! (Used high mileage oil as per my request). All they had to do is, change the oil (I made an oil chance one week before, and it seems that those guys before messed up something with that oil change). Instead of doing an oil change and then claim that that had to do some major work, these guys where just honest and not trying to over charge me what so ever. Now this story is not finish yet.... Here comes the good part. My "check engine" light was on for the past 2 or more months, I went to 3 mechanics, but non of them where able to tell me what's wrong, all they did is, resetting the light and then it came right up again. I asked Steav (the owner) to check it for me, after a quick check of less then a minute, this is what he told me. "I would suggest you to go a few blocks down to "advanced auto parts (very nice service as well) and buy yourself a new gas cap" he explained to me that my gas cap had little cracks from the inside, and therefore not sealing the tank 100% and causing the check engine light to come up. After replacing the cap, the light went away, low oil pressure problem was solved, and in less then an hour, I was on my way, with only $38.84 total charge. (He did not charge me for diagnosing and solving the check engine light problem. Bottom line is: these people are the best I found, and the best I could ever imagine, with great and friendly service. If I'm ever falling in to a major problem with my car, I will seriously consider driving down or having my card towed from Brooklyn (3.5 hour drive) just to have my service done by this people. read more

I don't know how to begin to write this review without sounding like I'm gushing over mechanics or their service. I have been going here for the past year and a half or so and couldn't be more pleased with the honesty of Stephen and his team as well as the quality of their work. They conduct their jobs with so much integrity -- if they can't fit me in, they'll let me know but they'll also be ok with me leaving my car there in the event that they have a spare sec; they'll give me a breakdown of the cost of everything, answer all my questions, and are ok with contesting the cost if I'm unpleased with the service; lastly, if the counter guy isn't there, any of the mechanics (Stephen included) will happily drop what they are doing to assist a new customer. In terms of quality, any issue I've had, they've addressed and I've never needed to come back to have the same problem addressed. I live in Albany, NY. This afternoon, the day before Thanksgiving, driving north on 787, the car started making noises either from the engine or the exhaust. Oh, oh--what to do? Get off at the next exit, Cohoes. Look for Midas, etc. PASS BY Stephen Hepp's Auto Service. What are the chances of getting service from anyone the day before Thanksgiving? Turn around. At least we can ask. Nice young man greeted us. Said he'd take a look. Opened up the hood and asked me to start the engine. Immediately said, "Crack in the front exhaust pipe. You can still drive it--just noisy." We asked if he could repair. "Let me see if I can get the parts." A few minutes later: "I could help you, but it would cost about $___." "How long would it take?" "About an hour." "YES, please do." Told us a nice place to walk to: Peebles Island. The walk along the Hudson was indeed beautiful. Came back in an hour. Car repaired and road tested. Great! Fair price. Great! We thanked him, HE THANKED US. "By the way, what's your name?" "Steve." He was the owner, very well-spoken, a person you immediately felt you could trust--and like.
