We also got ice cream afterwards. Ice cream does take cards. I believe everything is made in house. I was happy they offered "only 8" so I could enjoy lower carb ice cream with my family. Will definitely return!

The coffee-oreo-fudge ice cream may be the best ice cream I have ever had in my life. I think I can safely say that they are top notch for variety and flavor. So why a ranking of only two? One of my daughters who is allergic to nuts, ordered a "Chocolate Thunder" which is described as having "Chocolate based with cake crunchies, cookie fudge, and dark chocolate chunks." My kiddo (an adult really) begins to have a nut allergy reaction. They come on very slow for her, and thankfully, we have never needed to use the epi pen. She goes to the counter to ask them whether Chocolate Thunder has nuts and explains that she is having a reaction. She is told, "Well, there is always a chance of cross contamination." Incredibly, she has never been affected at places like Cold Stone or Stewarts which also serve ice cream with nuts. They rinse their scoopers. Here, there was a complete disregard - an indifference really for what was happening. If I were the manager, I would have offered her another ice cream and made sure that the ice cream scoop was rinsed. We did not want to make a scene. It was father's day and so many families were there enjoying the moment. So we promised that we would go to Stewarts thereafter so she could enjoy a scoop of something - which we did. AND THEN my younger daughter runs up to me to share that there was hair in her ice cream cup. I am sure that this does not happen all of the time. Hair happens, I suppose. The nut allergy response, was just bad. This is the reason for the rating of 2.

A small cone or dish is 3 scoops, currently at $5.25, tax included. It's cash only, but there's an ATM several feet to the right of the ordering counter. I got 2 scoops of peanut butter ice cream topped with a scoop of vanilla. The vanilla had some very small ice crystals in it but was otherwise fine. I really love their peanut butter ice cream. It's creamy with the peanut butter flavor but not overwhelming. The cone does seem to be a little small for all that ice cream, so don't dilly-dally too much eating it in warm weather. Since some other parlors near me have closed, Scoups has become by default the closest ice cream spot to me that makes their own hard ice cream. This is not a bad thing. It's also not bad that it's not too far away from Wolf Road, and it becomes a convenient spot for dessert after dinner nearby.

There are picnic tables available on the property in front of a wooden fence where you can often see a few cows grazing nearby. Talk about farm to market! Not only is the homemade ice cream top quality, it is delicious. In addition, they serve soft vanilla and soft chocolate, dole whip, homemade Italian Ice, and Frogurt. The numerous flavors of ice cream are rich and bold. They are described well on the menu. Portions are generous so you may want to size down. I like a "small" cone of the Toffee Heath Bar Crunch. Staff is friendly and efficient no matter how long the line is at the window.

Service is typically excellent and friendly. They have some tables and chairs outside which has a canopy so you're covered, rain or shine. I ordered chicken tenders, fries, mac and cheese, and a hot dog. To start, the chicken tenders were excellent. They were light, airy, and crispy. Likewise, the fries were delicious. They were hand cut, crispy, and tasted homemade. On the other hand, the mac and cheese was mediocre. To explain, it was really cheesy, but it was so heavy that you couldn't eat very much without getting sick. Similarly, the hot dog was average. To enumerate, the hot dog itself had good flavor, but the meat sauce was ridiculously sweet. After that, I ordered a chocolate shake for dessert and it was great. To breakdown, the shake was thin, flavorful, and the ice cream tasted homemade. It was simply a good shake. In a few words, Martha's is an enjoyable food stand with great chicken tenders, fries, and shakes.
