My husband walked in and the staff greeted him, (he is white and I am not) I didn't think much about this. Later as I walked around the shop, I noticed a young woman with glasses was kind of following me. The funniest part is that she tried so hard to look casual but she was almost waiting for me to steal something? I looked at her and said Do you work here? she replied yeees... I asked some question about plants, I found a couple of stuff I wanted to buy so I went to check out, One was still busy checking out some customer with a wagon full of stuff so I asked an older woman if her till was open. She didn't even look up at me, said the other one is almost done, pointing at the other guy with her chin.... So rude. The young casher guy was nice, putting my plants carefully in a paper bag. Later I joined my husband who was looking at some trees in the back, he wanted to consider buying high ticket item but I said no. Clearly they are somewhat against non-white people, not sure, but I definitely felt unwelcome there, I have not felt this way ever in any stores before.

I mentioned I was having a problem with WPM white powder mildew and what products I've tried . And the sales guys just he never had that problem it must be the humidity . I do have two hydrometers and know what my humidity is. I said that and his answer was " I don't know , I just talk to growers all day. " well I'm trying to information. About how to fix my problem it's a common problem , you sell products to help it , aren't you in the business of selling grow products ?? Anyways I felt he was very condescending to me . I can always buy stuff online and what keeps local stores open is the people who you deal with that build a community. The store has the biggest selection I just wish my help more helpful that day. If I could give negative stars I would!…read more We just got 4 cords of "seasoned" wood delivered that is mostly unusable because it is NOT seasoned! Also, there is so much scrap mixed in (along with some asphalt!) with the wood (see pics) and they say their wood is "clean"????? Our woodstove is our primary source of heat in the winter and now we just spent our wood budget on CRAP! I called twice....once I left a voicemail because no one answered and the other time the person who answered took our information and said we would get a call or Keith would come to the house to discuss....Guess what....NO ONE called or came to talk to us! I always want to do business within my town and they boast that they take care of their customers and their wood is CLEAN and SEASONED....NONE of it is true! Also, they state that all of their logs are uniformly cut...see the pic....that is also not true! Now we have to sift through, separate, and stack what can be used and then take more time to clean all of the scrap and dirt...which is about 3 inches thick! What is most disappointing to me is that they do not even care the least about even trying to make things right.....it is really unbelievable to me.
