I had previously seen NP Jennifer, who was attentive, compassionate, and took the time to speak with me. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Peyton was completely different. I waited for over an hour, only for him to come into the room for approximately one minute. During that brief interaction, I felt dismissed and spoken to rudely. What was even more concerning was that, as I was leaving, Dr. Peyton told me in the hallway that he "can be an asshole" and apologized if he had been one. I was honestly stunned. As someone who is a director of a department, I cannot imagine speaking to a patient, or anyone I work with in that manner. Patients deserve to be treated with basic respect, professionalism, and compassion, regardless of how busy the office may be. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here, and it was extremely disappointing.
