This created a huge crisis for us requiring grandparents to fly to our rescue. I cannot explain nor excuse the extremely callous and unprofessional actions of this daycare! My otolaryngologist recommended Hudson Valley Speech & Swallowing, and thankfully they quickly scheduled my consultation. I met McKenzee, an outstanding voice therapist and human being. She assessed my needs and provided me with numerous resources for practice and instruction. After weeks of effort, it became clear that I would need surgery although I had made great progress. McKenzee encouraged, educated and inspired me throughout one of the most difficult times in my life. She approached each of our sessions with enthusiasm and great preparation. I thoroughly enjoyed our time together, even though many times I was frustrated by my own physical limitations; and left each session with practical strategies as well as an increased motivation to improve. I have always looked forward to my voice sessions. Hudson Valley Speech & Swallowing is a very happy place. The office staff is cheerful and extremely accommodating. They work hard to explain insurance issues and always go out of their way to help with scheduling. Instead I'm driving to a daycare in Middletown and working in Goshen, just because the people here don't know how to answer their phone or respond to an email. After numerous missed calls and messages gone unanswered, I give up and wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my child there anyway. Such a shame.
