Our home sold within a very reasonable time being on the market and for a fair price.

We came in not knowing the areas, the differences between neighborhoods, or even what type of home made the most sense for us long term. Julie helped us break it all down in a way that was easy to understand. She was very knowledgeable about different neighborhoods, school districts, and what each area actually offers. That helped us narrow things down quickly without feeling like we were guessing. One of the biggest things she helped us with was understanding the pros and cons of new construction versus existing homes. She walked us through taxes, long term costs, and what to expect in each scenario, which gave us a lot more confidence in our decisions. She also did a great job balancing both my preferences and my wife's. That's not easy, but she stayed patient and helped us find common ground without ever pushing us. We also spent part of the process renting, and she supported us through that phase too, which we really appreciated. Overall, she's thoughtful, informed, and genuinely cares about helping you find the right fit. Highly recommend.

So when hurricane harvey hit, and the tropical storm came though, Brad refused to help anymore. We got the interior fixed but the leak has persisted. We tried to file a property claim with our insurance but it was denied because the leak is so obviously from poor workmanship. I've tried and tried to message them but they refuse to email or help. It's a dishonest company, run by dishonest people, and couples with poor workmanship. I've posted a pic of the column too. They build them hollow so they just fill with mush and rot from the inside. One of my biggest regrets in life is buying a bigelow.

There are other new build developments offering better houses and better deals. Bigalow requires a 3.5% deposit which is insane! No other builder has a deposit that large and I wish my real estate agent had dissuaded me from signing this awful contract which gives Bigalow up to 2 years to delay your house. With such a bad contract, why did I ever sign? lt was March 2022, the height of the real estate craziness and this was a no bid community. Charlene the sales rep told me that all the materials for the house were already sourced and that the likelihood of a delay was very unlikely. Great! I thought I could lock in a solid rate and the house would be done by September, possibly October. She had straight up lied to me. By the end of July we were finally told the house would be delayed till November. Luckily we had a back up mortgage rate lock for 4.7 that went til January. And... you guessed it. The house was delayed further, leaving us with a large mortgage rate. It no longer made sense to continue and we canceled our contract. This is the biggest regret I had in my life. They have a terrible contract, poor communication, and will lie to get a contract signed. Please if you read this: Avoid Bigalow.
