I would like to start by stating that I am the buyer that Stephanie K. is referring to in her review about Chandra in June 2019. Chandra is an absolutely spectacular agent and I am now happily typing this from my new home because of her. Stephanie is not wrong in stating that the sale was challenging, but I have different reasons for thinking so. I have attached a picture of what the seller considered "fixing" the chimney and the (albeit grainy) picture of a raccoon living in my attic via the hole in the chimney that was left behind. The seller knowingly accepted this as having addressed the terms of our contract that state "repair and replace damaged or missing siding and shingles on or around chimney". She does admit to this in her review, but she does not disclose that she also refused to inform us that the cleaners she said she hired, as agreed to in our contract, didn't show and she didn't reschedule. It does seem that this is something she would have remedied in order to honor the contract. I offer this as information so third-parties can have a little background as to who has left a one-star review for a business that otherwise has only five stars. As for the claims that Chandra's demands were "laughable and outrageous", Chandra was communicating the requests that I made to the seller, as a great agent should. I asked that poison ivy be removed from the side of the house (it has climbed up the exterior walls to the roof) because I am allergic, so can't do it myself, and vegetation against the house and foundation can cause damage. I did ask that windows that don't open be serviced and that the doggie door, which was built into the wall of the dining room, be fixed or replaced because it has fallen off and is essentially a volleyball-sized hole in the wall of my new home. Not only do I not personally consider these requests (not demands) outrageous, but it was not Chandra's decision to make them. If anything, that portion of the review should be directed at me. I have a copy of the e-mail that Chandra sent to Stephanie's listing agent and there is no emotion in it. It states facts, provides pictures, reminds them of what they agreed to, and offers alternatives to postponing the close date because items of the contract were not fulfilled. She was nothing but professional throughout a challenging sale. Thank you for everything, Chandra! I have no hesitation in referring potential sellers and buyers to you and in requesting your services for myself in the future. read more
