Two weeks ago I started having a problem with my iPhone's battery where the entire phone would heat…read moreup almost too hot to touch and the battery would go down to zero within minutes, even when plugged in, so I took my phone to the Verizon store who told us to bring it here for a battery replacement. We brought it here and they said they would run a diagnostic just to make sure it was the battery and they'd call us in an hour. Three and a half hours later they call and say that they're replacing the battery AND the screen. They said the screen "went" while they were running the diagnostic. I never had any problems with the screen at all before but I just took their word for it. They tried to give us the phone back without the case I had on it. They searched half-heartedly for the case for three minutes and then just checked us out, we only got the case back after insisting they look more. We paid $180 for a new battery and a new screen and went home. The next day, a Sunday, I realized the battery issue wasn't fixed, it was still doing the same thing it had been, but I had to go back to college about two hours away from Oneonta. Then Monday night, without warning, the brand new screen suddenly went completely black with one white bar, and wouldn't respond to anything. Meanwhile the battery issue continued to get worse throughout the week until the phone wouldn't charge at all. We brought it back this past Saturday only because we'd already sunk so much money into this place only for them to literally make the phone worse. They replaced the screen AGAIN and still didn't fix the battery issue, and charged us another $25. We brought it back later that same day and they said that the battery won't stay charged because keeping apps open drains it. Now it's Sunday afternoon and my phone is going crazy. The screen doesn't respond to touch correctly and scrolls around, clicks things, and types things on its own. It is completely unusable. I googled the problem and found out something's wrong with the screen or the circuitry. Let me reiterate; I had this phone for almost three years and NEVER had any problem with the screen at all before I brought it here. I'm so done with this place, I wanted to keep this phone but now they've messed it up so much I have to buy a whole new one.

I most recently went there because I was having issues with my 360 and the gentleman that was working (I believe him to be the manager) was very friendly and went above and beyond to assist me with my issues. Thankfully I had a warranty on my 360 and we were just able to swap it out for another one he had in stock. I always come here when I'm looking to get a new game and their deals on used games are Great!

You get points for buying/selling/trading in games, consoles and accessories. The staff is the friendliest people you will ever meet, they are professional and know their games/systems. Once I found the value of getting points rather than say just shopping at Walmart and getting nothing, it was a great move to start using GameStop exclusively for all my gaming needs. There are a few places in the area that take in trades but give you no where near what they do, and you get no points, nothing worthwhile from doing so anywhere else. I've bought countless things from this location and continue to support the business as it has pre-owned, new, and pre-order games available as well as bonuses that are exclusive to GameStop. If you haven't stopped by and gotten a PowerUp card I definitely recommend it and the helpful staff will give you plenty of advice on the best games and consoles. Check in on your mobile device and get 5 points on your card for your visit. It adds up quick and you end up saving a ton over using any other store.

It was a smallish bj's with less selection I felt but they still seemed to have all of the staples. This may be due to NY law but the beer / wine offerings were different from other bj's I've been in. There was a basic selection of beer and 4 or 5 varietals of very off brand wine, or maybe it was non alcohol wine, not sure. In any event, good spot to get your shopping done.

There is no fresh deli cold cut section nor are there vendors like there are in other locations (such as Pizza Hut or Dunkin Donuts). There is a Verizon booth though. A few years ago, I told the person who was working there that my phone charger wire stopped working and he replaced one for free which was really kind. I like that there is some diversity in products even compared to the BJs locations in the Queens/Long Island area. My experience here has been good 9/10 times. The only time it hasn't been good was when a store manager asked an associate to watch me check out. It was really uncomfortable and unnecessary since it wasn't to assist us or anything. Nobody else had to be watched like children. What a way to ruin people's day.

Not a good sales pitch to a customer desiring to do so. Then pitching a phone other than the one desired. Give the impression they may be getting kickbacks from pushing customers. Very disappointing. Granted this is not an actual Verizon store but I was immediately put off by the attitude. I left and will be going to an actual Verizon store, farther away from my home, but I expect a better experience.
