I had a truly terrible experience at Sterling Auto Consultants located at 4180 Lawrenceville rd. Tucker GA. I purchased what I thought was a reliable car, but it turned out to be a complete lemon. With an engine problem which was discovered on the way home the day of purchase. From the moment I drove it off the lot, I encountered the issue. I reached out to the dealership multiple times for help, but they were unresponsive and dismissive. They refused to honor the 30-day/1,000-mile engine and transmission warranty from the day of purchase!!!! Despite being covered under the lemon law, and the warranty that we signed off on, they refused to take responsibility and fix the problems accordingly, even while keeping the car for 4 weeks making believe they were fixing the vehicle. They only care about making a sale and not about their customers. I'm now stuck with no support from the dealership, a Broken-down car, Warranty promises that disappear, Angry and manipulative phone calls and Complete disrespect once the sale was made The woman who works there as the admin is rude, dismissive and doesn't do a thing to ever rectify anything! I bought a Chevy Malibu just two weeks ago, and the experience has been an absolute nightmare. The car broke down before I even made it to work. It was jerking, the A/C barely worked, the check engine light started flashing, and it completely died on me by the end of the day. I contacted them immediately and was told over the phone they would "work with me" to resolve it. They offered to let me tow the vehicle back to their location. I paid for my own tow to give them a chance to fix the issue -- but once they had the car, they refused to acknowledge anything they had previously said. They refused to confirm anything in writing, dodged my questions, and then got angry and yelled at me over the phone when I asked for a time frame or diagnostic update. After all of that, the only message they sent was about a $10 oil change, that they told the mechanic to do without my approval. They are now refusing to honor the 30-day/1,000-mile engine and transmission warranty because I went over 1,000 miles (but I'm still well within 30 days). That tells you exactly how this warranty is designed -- to expire before the inevitable breakdowns kick in. And I'm not the only one. Read the other reviews. Bought a car had issues h The very next week leaking coolant, sway bar links which stu said would be fixed as before I too the car is still not fixed car shakes almost violently I get regular oil changes but now the low pressure oil light is on and beeps when you drive and they have not addressed the issue I don't wish bad on anyone.... I gave my info as far as how much I had down and the payments I needed. I was told that it was going to work for payments to be no more then $400. They have many cars listed saying down payment $1000. Once I did the credit application I got no more reply's then someone text me from the dealership saying the minimum down was $1500 not $1000 that's listed. Then I was also told that it wasn't even there ad even though both people were from the same dealer Stealing auto. I feel it was 100% false advertising. read more

so i am going to start this review off by saying these are the worst people to deal with when u need a reliable car. i own a 2018 acura tlx a-spec that i bought from carmax and i was trying to help my boyfriend avonti get a car from here. let's just say they are nothing like a real dealership, we got a 2014 ford fusion se and the b**** has had issues since before he drove off the lot with it. the tire pressure light was on, they put air in the tire then about 2 days after the tire blew had to call triple a and get a new tire. after that check engine light came on i am sure that david is on the lot clearing codes. he claimed to fix the issue which most likely is the fuel pump from the codes it's pulling up (p0087, p025a,p2610,u0109) those are all related to fuel pump issues. we tried to bring it in and david claimed to fix the fuel pump sensor which i dont believe he did anything but clear the codes again because the check engine light came on less than 5 hours after we left the shop. not to mention it was still covered under the so called warranty when the check engine light first came on! fast foward to yesterday 7/10 the car would not even start and left him stranded all the way in sandy springs i had to call triple a for another tow to one of their shops and now i am going to get a full diagnostic ran and the car on the rack to find out what they have been hiding and clearing. today makes 7 days since he got the car and it has already been towed 2 times first time for blown tire on the side of the high way and the other for the car not starting. legal matters will be taken we are keeping receipts, pics, and getting documents from the triple a repair shop. we have not only brought the car back for repairs, but we also replaced the windshield wiper blades, the car has been eating through gas because of this fuel pump issue they don't want to fix and now the car is not driveable. it's a shame that u have to go to an actual dealer and not a black owned business. i got my car from the carmax in kennesaw and it was a fleet vehicle i have had it for 5 years now, no major issues, this car they sold has had more issues in a week than mine has had in 5 years! i do not recommed buying anything from here, if u want something reliable they sell lemons!! and they don't want to fix them. they have someone on the lot clearning engine codes and selling the cars like nothing is wrong with them when it is! that is illegal in the state of ga, u must disclose any known issues, but of course they will say the car is fine and nothing was wrong. it's obviously something wrong the car won't start, the check engine light keeps coming on and that idiot took us to the emissions place just to show us it would pass emissions just for the check engine light to come back on and have emission status in the red again now! all of people working there now they are clearing codes to make the car appear as fine to get people's money. they know people are in need of transportation and they prey on that. not only is this car problematic, it is also not reliable or safe to drive! we have lawyers writing up lawsuits now and we will be taking them to court! i should have went with my first mind which was take the car to be put on the rack for a full examination before purchase, but we were in such a rush to get it! that's how they got us! read more

Do yourself a favor and run the other way. The will sell you a piece of sh!t vehicle with no remorse. 2 weeks after signing my contract of course the check engine light came on, and of course they do not cover that. Long story short, went back and forth with them about covering those issue, they said the owner agreed he would fix the issue (I have text messages) then when I show up with the car to get fix, no one knew what was going on. Had to end up paying for the issue, only for the check engine light to come on 2 weeks later. I will say the manager Johnny is cool (it's only so much he can do) and Manny is a sweetheart. I am only cordial with this company because I am stuck in a contract. UPDATED 1/25/2020: (rewind to August 2019) Ppl please do your due diligent and check carfax before you get stuck in a contract with them. Had I done that I would have known the car Grant sold me was in 3 different accidents and was also used as a car rental prior to my purchase. After informing Dave of this information and going back and forth with him, I came in and of course the engine needed to be replaced. Was a month without my vehicle and on top of that $600 down the drain on top of my monthly payments. Fast forward to today... car starts smoking...now the radiator needs to be replaced (another $300 out of pocket). No I did not inform this company of this issue....for what (Manny the auto mechanic next door is very well aware of these issues)? I will just keep getting fixed whatever the hell needs to be fixed because I'm sure there's is going to be many more issues like my check light engine still being on after replacing the engine (emoji side eye). read more

I'm only giving 1 star because i'm forced to. I agree with everything Ashley mentioned about this company. I'm actually surprised they're still open and running. They're a joke of a business. They scam you also if you're not knowledgeable about vehicles. They will brag about how amazing their Mattel cars are, and you will leave the lot with some bogus, matchbox, piece of....That i'm pretty certain will not even get you to your destination without breaking down or having issues. I have a personal experience as well as my girl, who ENTIRE tire was completely shredded after the second week. Not to mention battery problems, cable and wiring, motor....Everything that's basically important for a vehicle. So if you're looking for a decent car, with good customer support, i'd be a lie if i told you that they offer A-1 service. Stay far away. They're a few more places along that road i'd check out & if you don't mind driving, the southside would be best near Tara blvd. These guys are crooks. I'm only give this place one star because I can't give them a zero. I bought a car from this place because I was pregnant and needed car to get around to go to the doctors in.I came in thinking I was going to leave with a good car. The gentleman Derek who sold me the car was great (apparently no longer works there) as soon as I left the lot the check engine light came on and as soon as I got on the highway it started shaking like crazy. I called them let them know I came back the next day and the owner David told the Mechanic Manny to turn it off and told me come back Friday to have it looked at which I thought was Bazaar. Came back Friday they told me that David wasn't there and that they ordered the part. Fast forward 2 weeks says the part is in cause I come back up there and they said that it's fixed two days later check engine light comes on again I take it to AutoZone to run the test and it's the same problem after that I brought in the car three other times and it never got fixed kept saying just to bring it in fast forward to a month later and the car just randomly shuts off and would not come back going mind you I'm pregnant and ended up stranded for four hours dizzy in the heat had the car towed to the dealership paid over $100 to have it towed for it to get there and they tell me that there's nothing wrong with that well obviously I didn't have it towed there for no reason and ever since that day that they say that there is nothing wrong with that it's still has the same problem to where it just randomly stops and will not start and I can't drive this car with my son in it because I don't want to get stranded like I've been in this car multiple times the air condition stopped working to and also the heat this car is a straight lemon now the car can't even be registered a whole year later because it's still having the same problems and when I call up there the guy who answers the phone we basically just says oh it's been a while for an issue that they never fixed and that I should just fix it myself that there's a new owner who coincidently has the same name David as the last owner this place is just a piece of crap I'm telling you save yourself the headache the only time they were nice is win I bought the car other than that they don't give a damn about you the person Jackie is probably the only nice person up there which she probably Hass to be because she's taking your money while you're paying for a junkie car save yourself the time and the headache and the stress and the money because when you call up there Lei who answered the phone if you don't give him the answer that you want or just don't take the bull crap that he tells you which is just to fix it yourself he just he's going to hang up on you my mom call for me because I'm just so stressed over this situation and he said F you to her as if she was saying it what kind of customer service is that this place is just trash run from the heels as far as you can and if you're stuck in this get you a lawyer because these people will not communicate with you after you sign on the dotted line. Would recommend Sterling Auto and the team for a used car. They do not over promise and under-deliver. Pretty much the opposite. They are called consultants for a reason. Appreciate their ability to work within your budget and needs. Most dealerships do not have as many options for a limited budget but also have great options for you if you do have more flexibility with your budget. On 2/4/2021 I purchased a 2012 Dodge Avenger from this company. I initially responded to an ad posted by a "BYRON" for a 2015 BMW X5. Upon arriving to the lot I was told that there was no one by the name of Byron that worked for the company and they did not have the car that was in discussion. I proceeded to look at other options and ultimately chose a Dodge Avenger. Once my paperwork was complete I was told that I could not pay via credit/debit only by cash money order. The salesman rode with me to a nearby Publix to purchase a money order. During the ride we almost died because the car's brakes did not want to stop. The salesman assured me that he would address the issue and have it fixed. I took the car home and before I could get home the car attempted to run hot. I immediately notified the dealership and was told to bring the car back. I brought the car back and was told that they were unable to assist because it was Saturday. They insisted that I not drive the car until Monday and bring it back AGAIN. I did as instructed and returned with the car on Monday and everyone proceeded to point the blame at each other and still not fix my car. At this point I had had enough and asked for a full refund. I was then promised that they would have the issue fixed no later than the following business day. It is now 4:30pm and guess what my car is still not fixed and the owner absolutely refuses to speak with me. Please assist. read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. 1. the sales guy is completely done with you from the moment you put your money down. they do nto lie, but omitt very important details...the owner Dave, is a SCUMBAG...when going here I did nto expect to get a flashy fly car, but I did expect it to do the number 1 thing...BE RELIABLE AND SAFE. they have a 30 day warranty and will FIX whatever you say is wrong... (the salesman will say if you do nto like it you have 30 days to tellthem) i did and they told me i was stuck with it. i amn ot a mechanic...before putting money down they said they would fix all the issues i came across, they basically baindaided it..after taking it to THEIR mechanic 5 times in 1 month...i thought i was through..then 35 days after having car, i had to replace battery, belt, and alterntor, things they said would be fixed..mind you all while paying $300/ month. dave would not work with me or even put me in a loaner car. lilke you say your fixing the car but why should i be out of vehicle for 1-4 days. stay away...i went based on my credit and was working on fixing it, but he doesnt even report your payments to the credit agency...there are a lot better buy here pay here, and actually even found a decent dealership to finance me with no problem. read more
