He has proudly called this community home since it first opened nearly six years ago. For a property that advertises itself as a luxury apartment community, the current condition of the property and the level of management are completely unacceptable. The current property manager, Karen, has been unprofessional, dismissive, and unnecessarily confrontational. Rather than communicating professionally through appropriate channels, she has personally texted my father over minor issues--such as leaving a pair of shoes outside his own front door--while far more serious concerns throughout the property continue to go unresolved. Residents should not feel harassed over trivial matters while legitimate maintenance and safety issues are repeatedly ignored. The property has noticeably declined over the past few years. There has been an ongoing roach infestation despite repeated complaints. Trash regularly piles up because scheduled pickups are missed, dog waste is left throughout the community, the dog park is poorly maintained, and breezeways have had burned-out lights for months, creating unnecessary safety concerns. Maintenance requests often go unanswered or take an unreasonable amount of time to address. The amenities are equally disappointing. The pool has been unexpectedly closed and even chained shut without notifying residents, while management continues to restrict guest access. The clubhouse is frequently closed at the last minute during major events and holidays--including the Super Bowl, St. Patrick's Day, Christmas, and New Year's--preventing residents from using amenities they pay for. Security and convenience have also become major concerns. Despite being advertised as a luxury community, there are no security gates, there have been repeated reports of vehicle break-ins, the package room is poorly managed, and Amazon deliveries are frequently left outside the leasing office in the rain or exposed to theft instead of being properly secured. After six years of loyalty, my father deserves to be treated with respect--not dismissed for raising legitimate concerns. It's disappointing to see a community that once had so much potential decline because of poor management, lack of communication, and neglect. I sincerely hope ownership takes these concerns seriously and holds management accountable. Until meaningful improvements are made, I cannot recommend The Mark at Chatham Parkway to anyone looking for the quality and service expected from a luxury apartment community.
