The sales department was pretty good, especially marty. The service department, on the other hand, is a joke! They were impossible to deal with on multiple occasions. In the past, I dropped my truck off for an oil change only. When I went to lunch and returned 2 hours later, they had just started on it. I then had to wait over an hour for that to be completed. Other times, I've had to sit for 1-2 hours for the same simple service. Recently, I brought my 2021 F150 in because a sensor was malfunctioning on my ABS and Traction control. It took 3 days to "diagnose" the problem and they had to order the part to fix it. When the part arrived, I made an APPOINTMENT to get it fixed and they took 4 days before they even started on the repair. All I got was excuse after excuse saying they were short handed, covid issues, etc. I told Ariel that I wanted to speak to the service manager and she called me back with a message from him. He didn't even have the decency to call himself. I was also told that there were no courtesy vehicles so I had to borrow a vehicle from a family member which was extremely inconvenient! I knew before I bought this truck that I should have never gone back to Sterling Ford, but I gave them another chance. NEVER AGAIN! I will gladly drive down the road to Hub City Ford because I know there service department runs like a clock! Side note: I have several acquaintances that have mentioned the same troubles with these people! Beware! read more

Whatever car I decided on, it was always going to be from Sterling, if they had a franchise. I decided on a Ford Ecosport and I am pleased to relate that Sterling Ford in Opelousas are as good as their Kia franchise in Lafayette. Marty worked his butt off to get me into the car I wanted, everything I wanted to know about it was on their website and all the preliminaries were taken care of before I got to the showroom. I drove past four other Ford dealers to get to Sterling and it was well worth the trip. read more

The sales staff (Marty & Daniel) were very courteous and knowledgeable even though they sold me a GMC at the Ford dealership. I was Daniel first car sale but he did well with the help from Marty! I live in Mobile, AL but really wanted this truck. Daniel communicated and worked with me, checking in with me several times during my drive to the dealership. After the sale Marty contacted me to ask if I was happy with my new truck and if I had any questions about the truck. Also DJ the sales manager drives a hard bargain and is a good negotiator but I still know I got a fair and good deal on my GMC Yukon! Thank you very much Sterling Ford team! They are a very good team to work with and would do it again! read more

I would normally not give such a terrible rating to this business because my past encounters have been good but this trip truly has ruined their reputation with me. If you can't manage an online site when you have the ability to basically do the whole buying process online but then once they finally get you in at the dealership everything changes. I added my trade in and went through the whole process on a truck with mine as a trade in with the total outcome of $545 a month then I get there and my trade value has completely changed and now all of a sudden my monthly payments at $627 a month. Definitely lost all respect for this dealership today. read more

Recently had my air suspension system on my 2012 expedition converted to regular shocks system at the Opelousas location. I was told that the "check air suspension' warning could not be deleted. The so called technician that it was not possible. Hub City ford said that it is possible to delete the warning from coming on. Sterling has the most uneducated (about ford products) shop people around. Now thinking, I may have waste 1k dollars for something I didn't need. read more

Still shaking. Towed to the nastiest motel the baymont in Lafayette. Homeless haven. Check in. That was my night. The next morning. I called the hero's. Sweet man didn't mind my Cali gen at 7 am. Said they would get some one out with in the hour. And they did. The sweetest cutest young man by the name of Chance came to my rescue. He was up and under my truck seeing if he could get the spare down No such luck. But he brought me a tire. And watching him work with such professionalism and speed. Reminded me of my dad. Who weed tires. His hands were the hands of a hard working man. His entire deamor and manner was charm polite kind and empathetic. He gave me his card and said if I ever needed help no matter the time or day. To call. They would come to me. No matter where I was in the area. I felt as if I was finally safe and it reminded me of the service calls I used to go out on with my dad. And as a 60 year old female. That memory was worth the wait. Thank you.
