I can't even begin to express how grateful I am to Rinaldo at Sterling Lynbrook. I had been having a problem getting my prescription right with my eye doctor. When I brought the prescription to Rinaldo he immediately noticed something was wrong and called the doctor. When they insisted the prescription was correct, he made the glasses to their specifications. Of course I couldn't see when I put those glasses on and they made me very dizzy. I went back to my doctor and they re-examined me and admitted the prescription was incorrect. When I went back to Rinaldo he fixed the lenses with no problem and took it a step further by fixing another pair I got somewhere else. I was so grateful that I could finally see perfectly! I was moved to tears! I've been wearing glasses for almost 30 years and I've never worked with an optician who was as knowledgeable and thorough as Rinaldo. He's amazing. He made it his mission to help me. I will never go anywhere else for my optical needs. I highly recommend you go see Rinaldo and his friendly and helpful sales associate, Chelsea! This place is wonderful! Was a joy from beginning to end. I called in asking if the carried a particular pair of Gucci's I was looking for and they had it in stock! I made an app to see the the doctor on SUNDAY! Can you believe it? A doctor available for an eye exam on a Sunday I felt like I hit the jackpot! Sorry for all the !!!! But I'm very excited! After being thoroughly examined by Dr. Fuchs (very kind and attentive man with great sense of humor) I was assisted by a nice young lady and soon the whole staff gave me their attention and helped me pick out a pair that was perfect for me, the Gucci's I wanted although looked very nice on line didn't feel or look good on me in person. I bought pair of very pretty Diors instead and got another pair of Gucci's as sunglasses, I ended up paying just u def $700 FOR TWO PAIRS! I'm used to paying nearly twice that on just one pair at other place. Still 5+++ stars as far as I'm concerned. I don't know why I keep Yelping this whole Yelp thing is very inaccurate....as far as this place goes and have noticed others they don't show a very balanced star rating at all! This place is great! No question about it, I counted 42 five star reviews and ably 4. 1 star reviews by unreasonable disgruntled and self entitled customers who fell compelled to throw shade on small family run store. They might be fake reviews as far as I know. But nonetheless, to have 40! Five star reviews filtered out--THATS 90% of positive feedback from legitimate patients disregarded by Yelps bogus "algorithms " is a sham and a shame, and to recommend 90% of 1 star ratings is pathetic on Yelps part. Arsen did an amazing job at selecting his entire staff at Sterling Optical. He's created a positive & welcoming culture that shines through the moment you walk through the door. This was my wife and I's first time visiting the store and we were blown away. Upon entering, we were greeted by Jayleen & she was super helpful, knowledgeable, kind, personable, and overall she was a genuine soul. She went out of her way to help us find the perfect pair of glasses that fit exactly what I was looking for. At no point did I feel like she was trying to sell me on a higher priced frame or something that I didn't like. Her recommendations were perfect and she bought out frames that I wasn't even considering. It turns out, we loved her taste in glasses and ended up choosing one of the pairs she selected. I just went into the store last month and was helped by Jeanne. I was able to get an eye exam appointment for the very next day. I explained to Jeanne that my husband just passed away and I was unable to get anything out of my insurance plan. She was so kind and helpful - helped me pick out a pair of glasses and was able to help me stay in my insurance range. I was called the following week to pick up my glasses, received a case and was made sure they were aligned correctly and more importantly that I could read. She is an exemplary employee and was just wonderful to me during the hardest time in my life. I HIGHLY recommend this place (which was my second time there as the first visit was with my husband just prior to covid and we both were treated very well then too) . The service here was exceptional! I don't usually write reviews but I've never had such an easy and cheap experience buying glasses before. Pretty sure the store is under new management, because I've been walking by the place for years and all of a sudden there's a new owner there. Anyway, the dude behind the counter is super chill and straight forward. The doctor there gave me a quick thorough eye exam (my prescription got worse :(...) and I got the frames I wanted. The counter dude gave me a bunch of discounts because I told him I'd send the rest of my fam there (which I did) and the frames were ready in a couple days. Love em! Where do I start ? Ok so I been before a few months ago long story short it was a rip off. So decide to go back today cause my fiancé needs glasses now & i've been searching for a new pair. Soon as we entered the door we was greeted by store manger arsen I believe. Sorry if wrong! But he was very helpful, informed of deals, how the insurance work, styles, his opinion etc etc very very helpful! I found Sterling Optical of Lynbrook online on a Sunday because I needed an emergency fix for my daughter's glasses, and they were the only place I could find that was open. I walked in and they made a quick fix on the glasses right away at no charge. Julie, Kyle, and David were all really nice and were amazingly helpful when I had no other options, I really needed the glasses fixed ahead of Monday morning. I went in with a picture and model number of certain raybans I found at another store. The manager helped me find them although they were not in the color I hoped for. He then said that he would recommend different glasses as raybans werent the most durable which is what I wanted. The glasses he showed me looked better on my face and he even matched the price since he showed me a more expensive pair. Would highly recommend this place. I highly recommend this Sterling optical location in Lynbrook right across the street from the LIRR station. Its located in the small shopping center. Arsen was super friendly from the moment I walked in the door. He was compliant with Covid 19 rules. Although I was not there to make a purchase, ( I needed an eye exam) I took a look around and I loved the frame choices as well as sunglass choices. Broke eyeglass frames when I accident sat on them at church this morning. As I see double, I can do nothing without them! Went to Sterling Optical in Lynbrook ny as they were the only eyglass place open on a Sunday. Jacob and Rivera were excellent and extremely accommodating. Should have new fames within the week. He even adjusted my old pair of glasses so I could see single until the new frames arrive! They don't know it but they just gained a new customer. Would HIGHLY recommend them!! read more

Arsen is the new manager at this location and I can honestly say it was an extremely pleasurable experience in the store. Before with the previous owners everything seemed disorganized and kinda strange the way they ran the business but this new gentleman is honest, witty, and very customer oriented and am glad he took over. Amazing service came in to fix a pair of glasses however was unable to because they were not fixable. However I got a great deal on a new pair. Arsen was very helpful and kind. Recently I bought a pair of sunglasses from Poshmark which tuned out to be prescription. When I made a claim in the app, the seller claimed they were 100% authentic and contained no prescription. My first time ever wearing glasses at age 52. My prescription was from another Dr. and that doc got it wrong. It was expensive progressive lenses. Even when it wasn't their fault they had their Dr. do another exam at no cost, remade the lenses, mounted and fit them again. All at no cost.
