I've lived at this community for a couple of years now, and overall I'm happy we decided to stay. Like most long-term places, it hasn't been perfect the entire time, but what's really stood out to me is how much things have improved. The apartments themselves are honestly one of the biggest reasons we've stayed -- they're modern, well-designed, and comfortable. It actually feels like a nice place to come home to, and the layout and finishes really make a difference compared to other places we looked at. Over the past year especially, the office staff and maintenance team have gotten a lot more responsive and helpful. Maintenance requests are handled much faster than before, and the staff has been more communicative and professional, which makes a big difference when you're living somewhere long-term. I also appreciate that the community seems to be moving in a better direction overall. It feels more organized, better maintained, and more resident-focused than it used to be. No place is perfect, but it's clear there's been real effort put into improving things here, and that's why we've chosen to renew instead of moving. If you're looking for a place with nice apartments and a team that's actively getting better, this is definitely worth checking out. read more

Wish I could give -10 stars. When I first moved in a few years ago, the staff was incredible--friendly, responsive, and professional. But after about 6 months, turnover exploded. Every time I had an issue (frequent), my contact was gone, replaced by someone new. Staff only stabilized in my final months. I've lived in 10 apartments--this is my first complaint ever, mainly because they still owe me money. First major issue: Garage door dead. Battery swap (nothing), new remote (nothing). Manually opened: zero power. Garages draw from attached unit; when those tenants left, power cut. Instead of calling PGE immediately, they tried contacting ex-tenants. Took 1.5 weeks despite my repeated follow-ups. Promises: "I'll look into it and call tomorrow/Monday"--then silence. Call back? "They're out today." Re-explain to new staff who "takes a message." Emails? They admitted they rarely check because "too busy." Very professional. Yasmine (longest-tenured) was queen of "I'll get back to you"--rarely did. Higher-ups? Director always "busy" or message-only. Contacted CORE directly: 25-30 calls, ONE callback. Requested 2-week rent deduction for inoperable garage--took 2 weeks of chasing. Other issues: Electrical: Breakers tripped with plug-in AC. Not overload--microwave, oven, kitchen lights, living room outlets all died together (code violation: microwave needs dedicated circuit). Fire hazard with newborn. Panel last inspected 1980s. Maintenance: "beyond expertise," up to city--no fix. Charged for garage + extra carport spot for months. Garage failed 8-10 more times post-power fix. Move-out: Tried 30-day notice after work; office (closes 6pm) locked at 4:45pm multiple times--missed deadline, paid fee. No waiver/help. Final bill: Late fee added. Office said "pay with final bill in ~30 days"--then claimed pro-rated rent due immediately. Offered courtesy removal but only CORE could approve. CORE ignored. Threatened credit reporting after 60 days. Urgent emails ignored. Paid months ago; still no refund for garage credit/overcharges. Frustration: Blatantly ignored while mishandling money/safety--they don't care. Neighbors had identical complaints; no one reported because responses nonexistent. Entire staff needs replacing. Sterling Pointe Apartments was a nightmare. Before we even moved in, the unit was poorly "fixed": walls had old holes covered sloppily, the fireplace had a cracked tile, the sink was caulked over to hide a crack that eventually wore down, the countertop was cracked, the sink repeatedly clogged and was never properly fixed, and the carpet was pulled back from the trim or installed poorly. During our tenancy, maintenance made their own thick metal transition strip instead of using the proper kind, leaving exposed nails that caused a household member to cut their foot. Despite multiple repair attempts, it was never fully fixed. We also had severe mold on multiple windows--I have photos of all of it--and the loft window wasn't fixed while I lived there, supposedly because they had to schedule another company. Yet it was repaired very quickly right after I moved out. The office staff, however, were completely unresponsive. Calls went unanswered, emails ignored, and I had to visit in person only to see staff on their phones while the office phone rang. UPDATE: Just to update everyone, Sterling Pointe still refuses to fully refund my move-out balance even though they never repaired the last broken window in the unit during my entire tenancy. I dealt with extremely high power bills for over a year because of their failure to fix a basic maintenance issue, yet somehow I'm still expected to pay for their negligence. Adjusting a small portion of the balance does not change the fact that the unit was not properly maintained while I lived there. UPDATE #2: After publicly responding that their team would contact me to further assist, I never received any follow-up. Although a portion of the charges was reduced, the remaining balance was never fully resolved despite the unit having unresolved maintenance issues throughout my tenancy, including a broken window that was never repaired. read more

The "New Resident" Guide to Sterling Pointe: 6 Weeks of Living, 10 Months of Law. Disclaimer: I am not an attorney and I am not in a position to give legal advice. The following is a factual account of my personal experience and the steps I took to hold management accountable. The Experience: * Infested from Day 1: I moved to Oregon for a new job and reported an ant infestation the day I moved in. By Day 2, it was severe. Under ORS 90.320, a unit must be pest-free at the start of a tenancy. * The "Work Order" Ghosting: Management would respond to my work orders via AI bot text, but pest control never actually showed up. They would then falsely close the work orders and claim the issue was fixed simply because the ticket was closed. Do not let them use their own internal "closed" status to tell you what is happening in your own home. * The Phone Call Trap: Management will try to handle disputes over the phone to avoid a paper trail. Try to have them send an email. In these calls, they will often try to twist the truth and place the blame on you. If you do speak with them, immediately follow up with an email: "Per our conversation, you stated [X]. I am documenting this to ensure there are no more 'scheduling conflicts' or creative retellings of the truth." * The "Stonewall" Strategy: My professional emails regarding the infestation went unanswered. Do not be deterred by silence. Stonewalling is a tactic used to make tenants give up. If they stop responding, it's a sign to take the next legal step. * False Claims & Accounting: Management falsely claimed I "changed the locks" to justify their lack of maintenance. They also issued an accounting record claiming I owed $440 in carpet cleaning fees in a room that was not used, for my residency. * The "Early Termination Waiver" (NDA): When I stood up for myself, they tried to force me to sign a document called an "Early Termination Agreement Waiver." This was an NDA that would have prohibited me from DISCUSSING MY EXPERIENCE or SUEING THEM. They suggested the lease break fee would only be waived if I signed it. I REFUSED. The Legal Steps I Took (ORS Chapter 90): - ORS 90.320 (Habitability): The law regarding a unit being sanitary and pest-free from Day 1. - ORS 90.360 (The 30-Day Remedy): I provided a 30-day notice of their breach of habitability. Because they failed to fix the issue, the law allowed for a legal lease termination. Charging a lease break fee in this situation is illegal. - ORS 90.300 (Security Deposits): This law requires an honest accounting within 31 days. Bad faith claims can lead to court-ordered penalties. - THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE: ORS 90.385 (Retaliation): Landlords cannot use fees as leverage to force a tenant to sign away their legal rights. ***The Outcome I am just a normal person. All I wanted was my $500 deposit back and a clean break so I could move on with my life and my new job. Sterling Pointe ignored that reasonable request. Instead, they kept my deposit to cover "carpet cleaning" and a "lease break fee" they had no legal right to charge. When I filed a Small Claims lawsuit, they ignored the papers (FYI-sue the company that is listed on your lease, in this case it was "Sterling Pointe Holding, LLC"). It wasn't until I filed for a Default Judgment that they finally acknowledged the situation by filing a motion to "Set Aside Judgment." However, they didn't even show up for the court date they requested. In the end, I won the maximum amount allowed in Small Claims. Collecting the money required filing in circuit court, digging through the Oregon Business Registry to cross-reference LLCs (shell accounts), and find the actual operating company for the garnishment (which is Prime Residential FYI, I'll save you the work). It is a complicated process designed to make people quit. I took it one step at a time, and I have now recovered the full amount. If I can do this, so can you. During these ten months, I was starting a new job in a new state with zero local support. I was navigating my mother's cancer diagnosis, the passing of my best friend, an awful heartbreak, and my dog undergoing two major TPLO surgeries and recoveries. I did all of this while holding a corporation accountable for their actions. Needless to say, do not live here or anywhere Prime Residential has ownership. If you look at their history--including the 2024 Oregon Supreme Court case (Trebelhorn v. Prime Wimbledon) where they were called out for "reckless and outrageous indifference"--you will see a clear pattern. Half of the reviews you see online are likely filtered or fake; read the real ones to get the full picture. I'm just trying to help my fellow humans in a situation that feels impossible. Property management companies need to be held responsible, and unfortunately, that responsibility falls on us. Don't be deterred. Document EVERYTHING. Take the steps. They removed the playground and replaced it with bullshit landscaping like they're trying to be fancy. What are kids supposed to do now? Be a menace? Good luck with that. The pools are often infested with bacteria and I wouldn't recommend swimming in the one at the duck pond and the pool at the maintenance office is never working. They nicked my deposit for utilities I already paid and assessed a late fee when payment was not late. They were completely unresponsive and hardly ever answered their phones. Our apartment flooded from the unit above due to the freezing weather bursting the pipes. The maintenance team handled it beautifully were there busting their butts very quickly. Management was also there and was a gift from God. Tony, who I assume is a manager couldn't have done his job better, he handled it beautifully. He got us a new unit the same night and hired movers to get us in. The two names I heard from the maintenance team were Leo and Brian. They kick butt, got things done very quickly and professionally. Super unfortunate that the apartment was destroyed but the team here is awesome, couldn't have gone better. read more

I wont blame management as they seem nice but the establishment has real issues. Day 1 - I open my bathroom and foul rotten eggs smell is layering the walls(Septic Methane?). It is also pouring in from my master bedroom closet. I have to keep the windows open 24/7 even through the winter. This odor has been filling the apartment constantly from all directions. The maintenance straight up looks for any reason to deny it every time I report it. Even an elder man who you perhaps would think be wise and tactful...not at all.. He goes into the kitchen and smells my garbage...my garbage?... Then sez it must be that or the martial arts gear (that has never been used). The assistance said it was spilled milk!?? (cuz you know I love to drink milk in the closet and slosh it around!). In the first month they posted rent due email. In the email it said the rent due date was by the end of next month. I thought "how nice of them they must really be chill here to give extra time" NOPE! Without any notice they attempted to evict me for not paying rent. Even though I had it all along. Completely heartless and without any communication! This is Sterling Pointe they really dont care about you! They just want your money. This was the very first month of me in here and they already have me on the chopping block? I had to educate them about the ethics of lying about due dates. Sad isnt it? I am perhaps 1 of 100 people that pick up after my dog waste. Shit is all over the place. The grounds are water logged everywhere. You think that hill looks nice? Nope its muddy unstable ground covered in goose poo. Garbage is always overflowing from every disposal all the time. Animals get into the garbage often. Parking spaces are non existent because they dont give them out. There are covered spaces that dont get used but the management isnt keeping track. You can get a garage which is literally under someone's apartment. If you have a room over that garage you are effed over. I lived in Sterling Pointe for about 7 years, and I always paid my rent on time. When I got the opportunity to buy a house, I took it. I asked if they could help me with the cost of breaking the lease early, which was denied. I wasn't really expecting them to help me with that based on my experience with them. The main problem was when I moved out, they billed for just enough stuff to use up all of my security deposit, including a charge for a cabinet door, which fell off and broke due to being improperly installed. I had been working with maintenance to get that door replaced for more than 6 months, and they did nothing. They assured me that I wouldn't get charged for the door when I moved out, but they still did. Every time maintenance came to fix something, they would leave my lights on and my door unlocked. One time, my door was left wide open. They would use my towels to clean up their messes and just leave them soaked on my floor or in my sink. Also, many repairs would not get addressed even after submitting several requests. Any time I contacted the front office with these problems, I was only given excuses or was told they would look into it, but nothing ever happened or improved. read more

The staff seems like it is constantly rotating, you can never speak to the same person twice (if you can get them to answer the phone at all) and everyone is disconnected in there. So if you have an ongoing issue, don't expect it to be resolved quickly because only one person will even know who you are. The layouts are inconvenient as hell. Trying to figure out how to arrange furniture when you have a wall with two sliding glass doors next to each other is insane. Not to mention there are no windows that open downstairs? So if you wanted to put an A/C unit in you're out of luck. There continues to be a rodent problem that has been apparent for at least two years since I've been here. They only want the complex to APPEAR nice instead of making quality improvements. So the landscaping is always here but they decided not to have security anymore. If you manage to find parking your car may be broken into or stolen, as my neighbor's was. Now they are removing the children's play structure that was well loved by the kids around here so they can put in a Chinese garden? Which has no purpose except to look nice. A community garden may have been nice so we could have utilized it for planting food and flowers, but still not a good enough option to take out something for the families here. The complex is so close to schools you would think they would want to appeal to that audience but obviously they haven't thought that through. The only upside is that the area is in a perfect location and the maintenance crew is pretty awesome. Otherwise it's just an overpriced turd in tinfoil calling itself sterling silver. read more

We are currently moving into a Kingston style apartment here and are in love. Our leasing agent was Reyna and I highly recommend going through the process of viewing and signing with her. She adapted to what we needed and were looking for and was so helpful. We loved interacting with her. The style of the unit we are currently moving into is modern and very updated. It is a split level townhome styled apartment. The down stairs flooring is a vinyl that is very high quality and this style of unit also has a well maintained fire place. The upstairs flooring is a very plush dark brown/grayish carpet. The management is very on top of things for the massive size of the property. (48 acres.) We noticed a few little things when we did our key walk through such as a burnt looking outlet, a crooked fake kitchen droor, and a couple other things and management had maintenance fix everything within a couple days. Once we started moving things in we did notice the carpet seemed dirty and the leasing agent, Reyna, immediately went and vacuumed it herself. This is a huge complex and I'm sure maintenance is constantly busy along with the color of the carpet, it didn't surprise us that something might of been missed. Things just happen sometimes and the management was quick to get this corrected. Not the end of the world. The biggest issue the complex has would be parking, but this is nothing new to many of the apartment complexes in the Portland Metro. It is 35 a month for a covered spot and compared to a lot of other complexes, this is very fair. Speaking of location, you are within a 15 minute drive to a couple different MAX park and rides at this location as well. For us, it's about a 45 minute commute (including driving to the park and ride itself,) to down town Portland with public transportation this way. It's an amazing location with great amenities on site, as well as spacious, and updated units. Overall, we have had an amazing experience so far and the prices here for the quality of the apartments are unbeatable. My partner and I moved into Sterling Pointe in 2004 and are now coming up on 19 years here. 11 of those years have been spent in a ground floor 2 bedroom apartment after living 7 years in one of the 3 bedroom units. In the time that we have lived here, even in the 2 bed unit, we never had any issues with neighbors until recently. Last November a family of at least 6 people, including an infant and a toddler, moved into the 2 bedroom unit above us and our lives have been a living hell ever since. With so many people up there someone is constantly moving around and it's like living beneath Grand Central Terminal. It always sounds like things are being moved around or dropped. There are also times it sounds like a construction zone as if they're building something. One thing that doesn't help in the slightest is the fact that unit was renovated a few years ago and the carpet and padding were ripped out and replaced with laminate flooring. At least the carpet provided some sort of sound muffling, but even that little bit of relief is now gone. We've called the office numerous times to complain, the first time we have EVER complained about neighbors the whole time we've lived here, and we are always told they will make a courtesy call but it never seems to help for very long before they go back to stomping and banging around. We even sent an email to management so that there would be a written record of our issues. The manager tried to call us once but neither of us were able to answer our phones when she called. We called back and left a message for her to call us back to talk about the issue but she never did. Is this any way to treat loyal, long-term residents? This experience has left a bad taste in our mouths, and if we ever have anyone looking for a place to live we will NOT recommend Sterling Pointe! read more

Prime group recreated their page to get rid of all the bad reviews. Reposting my original review on this to warn people to stay far away from this place ------- We lived at Sterling Pointe for a year (2015 - 2016). At first, it was managed by GSL and everything was great. The management was competent, the property was well kept and the garbage problem was non-existent. Within months, the property was bought out by the dreaded Section 8 mogul Affinity Property Management. Everything took a turn for the worst when they came in. Garbage overflowed, new trashy tenants started moving in and parking got out of control. Within months AGAIN, the property was bought out by Prime Group. They acknowledged how terrible Affinity was and promised to restore the property to what it used to be. Fast forward 5 months, and it's just as bad as Affinity left it. The garbage is only taken out twice a week and as you can tell by the attached pictures, it isn't enough given the size of the complex. Our dumpster looked like this EVERY week in our section of the complex (can't speak for other sections as I never went to those dumpsters). To make it worse, Prime started implementing an $8 charge for trash even though or GSL lease said that trash was included. Prime tried to tell us that there was no way of getting out of the fee until my wife and I brought them the State of Oregon landlord tenant law ordinances that contradicted what they were telling us. They gave us a credit and we were on our way to counting down the time left in this hell-hole. When we were getting ready to move out, we hired a cleaning company to clean the place from top to bottom so that we could get the maximum amount of our security deposit back. We spoke with Laura, the assistant manager, and she said that we don't need to clean since there is a "standard cleaning fee that applies to every unit upon moving out". We told her we were on a GSL lease and that our lease only stated carpet cleaning can be taken out of the security deposit. She gave push-back naturally because she doesn't actually know landlord-tenant law as well as she thinks she does, but after highlighting the statutes for her she had to accept that we were correct and acted as if waiving the cleaning fee was a favor that she was doing for us. These people are completely clueless as to what they legally can and can't do. They're even more clueless how to manage and maintain a community of this size. They aren't doing anything good for the tenants or the assets that they manage for the owner. My advice to you all, ESPECIALLY if you're not on one of these ridiculous Prime leases, is to read your lease thoroughly and understand your rights. You have just as much protection as the landlords do. Even better advice would be to avoid this place entirely because I guarantee you can find a place of similar cost that will be much better quality. read more

Sterling pointe was mine and my husband's first place together and where we brought home our first child. We should be able to look back on our time with the property fondly but unfortunately I could not have imagined a more terrible experience. We lived in the apartments for a year and this has been by far, the worst apartments I have ever lived at. First, when we moved in, our deck was completely rotted through. They had placed a carpet on the deck to hide this and we only found out when we walked outside and a giant hole fell through in the deck. Secondly, they hurried through flipping the apartment before we moved in, after the prior tenant. The carpet was missing sub-flooring in spots so you would step on straight concrete. And then the carpet on the stairs up to the loft was so poorly installed that staples were sticking up. To the point where I sliced open my foot on one while I was pregnant. Thirdly, the Maintenance man entered our apartment without calling, after specifically marking "call before entering" on our maintenance request form. After he entered, he heard that I was in the shower and remained in the home. Keep in mind, I was 7 months pregnant, home alone, IN THE SHOWER. When I told him we had requested a call before entering, he informed me that scheduling was not his job and that he didn't care that I was uncomfortable he'd entered while I was in the shower. He then would not leave until being asked multiple times. When I brought this up to management, they did nothing about it. After all of this, we decided to leave after our lease was up. And this leads us the the final straw with this apartment. I have been contacting them via phone AND email monthly since moving out and they have never responded to me. I have been trying to get our final move out expenses and have got nothing. Apparently they notified my spouse of these expenses but failed to give me the information. I was the primary contact during all of our time with the property, and I was a legal tenant, on the lease, and they still never provided me with this information. And after over a year of asking for this information, they sent the bill to collections under my husbands information. It's unfortunate that it has been this difficult to get this information since I was being laid back in regards to them not providing this to me within the 90 days required by Oregon tenant laws. Even now, I have been unable to get anyone to respond to my requests for information in regards to final move out expenses. I would never recommend these apartments in a million years. Management and maintenance are terrible, the area is very high crime, and the quality of the "flips" are shotty at best. read more

This is the most rundown and mismanaged apartment community in the area. The grounds are not kept up evidenced by the animal waste all over and the unkept lawns and walkways, the only area that gets regular maintenance is immediately around the office. The apartments interiors are old with broken down appliances and windows and doors that are not weatherproof. The management is completely incompetent. Shellie, the general manager, pretends to have an interest in resolving problems and then avoids any follow-through once she can get away from the conversation. Reyna, the maintenance manager, clearly has no training in maintenance or management. She is rude and condescending and enjoys gaslighting tenants rather than actively listening to problems. Apartment 1G is underneath a group of trolls, who will keep you awake all day and night. I paid a fee to break the lease and move because this place is so bad. Do not live here! read more

I lived in 14040 Apt C for 2.5 years (Feb 2011 - Aug 2013). It was alright, until a HUGE and loud family moved in above us. Now, first off, they had a dog, which was against policy as all dogs had to be in a bottom floor apartment. They let their dog pee of the balcony, and onto our patio! They would also bang around at all hours of the day and night. Now, granted the insulation wasn't the best at dampening sound, but this was excessive noise. One of the women would come home, as drunk as one could get, screaming and stomping around in heals at wee hours of the morning (2am - 4am). The noise upstairs actually interfered with my husband's work, as he worked from home. Clients would ask him if there was construction going on... They would even let their kids run around all night long, all throughout the house. We went up there to speak with them about it, being nice neighbors and all, and they said "You're crazy, we're not making any noise, and the kids are never awake at night!" So, we complained to the office. However, the office did nothing and said they could do nothing, even though they had a list of complaints from other neighbors too. I called the police one night, and that got us a few hours of sleep, but they just continued to be as loud as possible. Somehow they even managed to make it sound like they were dragging chairs across a wooden floor, but there was carpet!!!! We ended up being forced to move. Then it all went to crap. Our move-out bill, AFTER they ate out entire deposit, was over $500! They claimed we had pet damage and smoke damage, along with having to paint multiple coats of paint in the apartment. We had no pets, and we had not only painted the apartment back, but we even used THEIR paint to do it! But we were their excuse to replace the carpet for the whole apartment and do other renovations so that it wouldn't cost them as much. I'm very displeased with this place, and I'm glad it's under new management now! But I'll NEVER go back! I expect more from an apartment company than this. If it was not for the lack of effort from the office, and the erroneous charges at move-out, I would have enjoyed this apartment and stayed for much longer. The location isn't the best for urban dwellers, but it' a nice and quiet neighborhood and a good suburb location. Safeway is across the street, as well as a Walgreens, Five Guys, Jamba Juice. and other nice places to eat. The maintenance staff were wonderful, and fixed issues quickly, and the office staff were polite and friendly. The website with online rent pay (though using a credit/debit card came with about a $60 fee), and ability to submit maintenance requests was quite convenient. The interior of the apartment was well setup for the 2 bedroom 2 bath on the first floor, and the look and feel of the place (inside and out) was quite homey. read more

Reyna is the best, honestly. She is so sweet, personal, and attentive to needs. She has accommodated a lot and has shown me apartments over and over again to help me decide. The maintenance guys get on your orders within a day or two, sometimes the work is sloppy but if you re-request it they will get the hint to do it better. Overall, I'm really happy choosing Sterling Pointe as my place to live. THANK YOU, REYNA This is an update from my previously posted review: I still love Reyna. Reyna is great. Unfortunately, she works with incompetent, rude and unhelpful people who do not value the safety of their tenants. My roommate and I were extremely interested in doing a transfer to a smaller apartment, but now we are moving somewhere else completely due to this complex's inconsistency in information and values. I can't rate 0 stars because it doesn't let you do it but DO NOT THINK TO MOVE HERE!!! I have so many reasons to tell you why but I'll try to make it short... 1. You won't be able to feel safe living there. 2 pair of my shoes got stolen overnight, literally OVERNIGHT!! And it didn't happen only to me, it happened to my neighbor as well. 2. They charge you a lot for utilities plus they divide the utilities by building so you get to pay more of what you're supposed to be paying. 3. Parking sucks here, if you do not pay for a parking spot, don't think to get to your apartment after 5 pm because you'll never find one. 4. You'll find dogs shit everywhere, I talked to them so many times about it and they did not do anything about it. 5. If you live in the first floor, good luck trying to get your balcony clean, it will always be dirty plus you'll get so many visitors inside your apartment as ants, spiders, bugs, etc... 6. Rent is so high for the bad quality that you get. 7. Once you move out, they'll take your security deposit. They'll spend it on stupid stuff. As an overview, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! read more

I love these apartments! Lovely and away from the maddening crowd, they are perfect for me. The staff are always helpful and friendly and I enjoy talking with them. My requests and suggestions are received with professionalism and good humor, and I always feel "seen" and "heard." The lovely landscaping and pond (especially the ducks) make the complex very inviting and home-like. The apartments are well set-up and offer great floor plans. I highly recommend! read more

I would like to warn prospective renters on this property. They charge you a 500 dollar deposit to move in and be assured you will not get any of that deposit back. I am 63 years old and rented a two bedroom apartment. I lived there a year. I had no pets or anybody living with me. The dryers are not properly vented so they are a fire hazard. If you request help with this issue their solution is to take the closet doors off the washer and dryer area. You are responsible for storing the doors while you live there. Fleas eat you alive even if you don't own a pet. I only had my son and daughter in-law visit me in that one year period. They kept the whole 500 dollar deposit saying I had put nail holes in the wall and missed two dime sized areas when I was cleaning. The lighting is so BAD I'm not surprised I missed those two areas considering it was winter when i moved out. The carpet cleaning and paint are normal wear and tare as well as the nail holes. This is a cost of doing business and should not be passed on to the renter unless there is abnormal wear and tare. The wall over the fireplace had water damage and required me to buy the self advise wall hanging method. You could not use a nail because the sheetrock was so soft it would not hold a nail. They charged me for not taking that off the already damaged wall. In addition the windows are so old and the heating system so outdated it cost a fortune to heat the small unit. The upstairs neighbors burned my new outdoor umbrella with their teenage kids smoking despite my plea for them to stop. Please be aware they will use your deposit to clean your apartment for the next person they move in and the cycle continue. My carpet was in prestige condition when I moved out but they still charged me. Please do not rent from these slumlords. They renovated and you can still see the brown cupboards through the cheap paint they use. The plumbing is a nightmare. My garbage disposal hose kept coming off and flooding my place. I would call them and they would just jam the hose back up there and sure enough when you ran the dishwasher it would cause the hose to come back off and flood the apartment. I have only lived here for a short amount of time but I have really enjoyed it. The value of what my apartment is is well worth it, staff are around and communicative, and my neighbors have been beyond welcoming! I am loving it so far. This place is a joke. Office people are rude, and can't answer simple questions. When trying to pick up a package for your 8 year old child, they tried saying he needs to come in to pick it up. When asking to find out how much your rent will go up when it's time to renew your lease, they tell you they'll give you it 30 days before your lease is up, and if you can't afford the new rate, you have to give them your 30 day notice the same day. So just plan on moving if you can't afford it here. They tell you it's all on what the other apartments around the area going for. You now have to pay for a package locker 3.99 a month. What a joke. This place is full of ants. And now they lock you out of your trash area. read more

I haven't written a review on Yelp for over 10 years. I work in a restaurant, so I don't believe in writing bad reviews to ruin the reputation of anywhere. However, I have never lived in an apartment complex that has as bad of management as this one. And I have lived in apartment complexes for over 20-year. If you have a job that requires to work late at night, this is NOT the place for you to rent because when you get home, you will find NO PARKING. When I first moved in, I contacted leasing office about the parking, they said "oh parking has always been a problem here." I asked the lady don't you think that's an issue you should tell your tenants before they move in. I parked 5 buildings away from my apartment and had to walk home in the dark late at night. I told the leasing office, they have absolutely no concern for their tenants' safety, never heard back. Then I contacted the leasing office, and originally, one of the ladies there got me a garage to rent, which I would've gladly paid for. Then a week later, while she's on vacation, another lady told me I should NOT have gotten a paid parking because they were out. Yet, this is the best part, they charged me $165 in my account for a garage, so I paid for it. A week later, I contacted them to ask about when am I going to get my parking, they told me I didn't get a garage that I am only WAITLISTED on both for a garage and paid parking. And the lady on the phone said, "it's so horrible they charged you, we will refund you." I spent late nights looking for parking for over 30 minutes and not being able to find any parking even out on the streets. So I parked in an illegal spot sometimes, and 1 night, my car got towed for $680. This was my final draw, I sucked it up for 7 months, when my car got towed and had to pay this hefty fine, I decided I wasn't going to be nice about this situation anymore. I am never someone who wants to write a bad review for anything, but I do hope this message goes out to all the people out there who works late for their lives like I do. read more

Sterling Pointe has been very communicative and easy to work with for our move. We worked with Reyna and she's been fabulous and very personable. The apartment is nice with quality appliances and space. Clean paint and carpets. The neighbors all seem nice. My only complaints are not getting packages delivered, you either have to pay a fee to have a box your can get deliveries in monthly or they will be sent to the post office. Lastly the parking is space unless you're home from work mid day or rent a spot monthly. There is no assigned parking and of you come home past 6 you're likely to walk a few blocks back to your apartment. These are understandable due to how large the complex is, just inconvenient. Overall we've been here less than a week and it's been great! read more

Just moved in about a week ago and from start to finish I mainly worked with Nina, who was great to work with. She was able to help me find exactly what I was looking for and answered any and all questions that I had (and I ask a lot of questions LOL). As I told her, she made the process such a smooth transition. Very excited to call this place our new home. Thanks Nina!!! As far as the apartment- the first impression was great!! Super clean and not a thing to complain about. Large patios and storage space in the bedrooms. The only down side is the parking but that is common in almost all apartment complexes.
