Lisa was my landlady for almost 3 years and she was fantastic! She accommodated our move out schedule and made sure everything was in working condition. I appreciated her promptness in answering emails and any repairs. We had a large unit that was a great value due to her maintenance of the inside and outside of the property. Sometimes the best land lords are the ones you don't notice. And I barely noticed Lisa... and I mean that in the absolute best way possible. I never noticed Lisa being hard to get a hold of because she never was hard to get a hold of. She responded to my messages and concerns very quickly and professionally. I never noticed things around the property broken or not well kept because they never were broken and were never not well kept. The property was regularly maintained and if anything did break Lisa made sure it was taken care of quickly. I never noticed how mean Lisa was because she never was mean. Lisa is amazingly responsive on any maintenance issue, quickly gets back to you when contacted, and all around is the most pleasant to deal with of any rental company out there. She makes sure to contact you quickly if something needs doing in the apartment. If you have a mechanical problem, it will be dealt with swiftly. Lisa is as good as it gets as a landlord in such a competitive and busy city as Portland. I have been renting from Lisa in SW Portland until recently buying my first home and she has made the entire experience a sincere pleasure. Not only is she very responsive to both texts and emails anytime we have questions, but she approaches all the tenant's needs in a very welcoming, professional, and realisitic manner. She is undoubtedly the best landlord I've ever had and would recommend her to any and everyone. To be 100% honest - all too often I Yelp in anger. A company has burned me, a counterperson has been a flaming @#&!, and I lash out in the only way I know how, digitally. So I forget to give thanks where thanks is due. I have known Lisa of High Five for years and her company has never let me down. She's helped several friends find places to live and our family did a short-term home rental through High Five as well. We got maintenance out there for our issues FAST when needed. Lisa advocated for us while still fairly representing the homeowner's interest when we felt a rent adjustment was needed. Then, High Five was our real-estate agent when searching for our home. Buying a home is a very fraught experience and, in all honesty, we didn't see eye to eye on every little detail (specifically, choosing contractors) - but these little differences are inevitable in such a long, complicated, painfully spendy process. I always knew that ultimately Lisa had our back, and that is a huge issue. What I especially love about High Five and Lisa is that this is NOT your antiseptic, corporate experience. High Five is a homegrown, personal, very human and yes even quirky company that still acted in a totally professional way. read more
