I wasn't being helped by the county's public human services department despite asking for assistance multiple times over the past 5 years, which left me in a desperate situation. At the time, I was experiencing homelessness, severe trauma, health complications on top of disability's, and impaired judgment due to overwhelming circumstances. Rather than receiving protection or a trauma-informed response, I was treated as an offender. I was later personally contacted by a now resigned officer from this department abusing their authority to gain & take advantage of sexual relations with me during this time period of vulnerability
