I had a Trust that needed several updates. I chose the wrong attorney! Mr. Stern told me two hours would suffice. When I then requested a two sentence change, the billing hours doubled. He sent me a final draft and proposed signing. I was shocked to find many errors: from unacceptable spelling mistakes in emails and even the Successor Trustee's name to an incomprehensible muddling per my instructions. There were alarming discrepencies in beneficiary funds distributions! If I'm paying $350 per hour, I expect quality attention to important details. When I informed him of all the errors, he agreed to refund half of my deposit. When I picked up my Trust copy, I discovered one more example of his sloppy work: a large water stain on the cover, as if it had been carelessly used as a drink coaster.
