He visited a chiropractor…read morewho recommended we see our primary and get a steroid injection when we get home, I decided to look for an urgent care in the area to see if they'd do this type of service so we didn't have to wait 5+ days and could finish out our vacation. I called Stat one as it had the best reviews in the area, I was told they could do the steroid shot and had their PA text me to arrange a time to meet at the office. Katie was great, we arranged to meet after both of us had finished lunch, she got my spouse in right away we discussed his symptoms and she gave him a steroid and anti inflammatory shot as well as sending in a steroid pack and muscle relaxers for him. This is better care than we get at our local urgent care in our town- we were highly impressed with the care here and recommend it to anyone who needs care while out of town we come down to Indian Rocks yearly as well as our entire family and if we ever needed care again we would totally be returning to this location! 1000/10!

This individual also tried taking the history of why we were there then fumbled with the blood pressure machine. Never took other vitals/temp. Same receptionist attempted a throat swab by rubbing my child's cheek. Results of rapid test, of course negative. She asked if that was all we needed. I inquired if there was a licensed provider. She summoned the ARNP who was very nice but never saw my son. No exam performed. At the end, they could not even collect my copay (ha) with a credit card. I paid cash and they wrote me a ridiculous receipt that can't be used for any health savings or FSA. Dr. Saba, I highly suggest some quality control measures if your name is on the front door.

(One opens and closes after posted hours and the other is horrendous). The waiting room of this office needs a serious update. It's old and dirty and dingy and my idea of any medical facility is nice and clean. I remember being very put off by the look of the area on my first visit, but when you have slim pickings abd you know you need medicine you give it a chance. The wait here is always long. There are typically only a few people waiting and you are there FOREVER. At my visit yesterday there was no one else in the waiting room when i arrived and the visit still took about an hour. The doctors I have seen, however, are very friendly and seem caring and compasionate. That is the most important part. Each time i have been seen I have been treated properly and everything was explained thouroughly to me. Also the medical assistant that helped me yesterday was sweet as well. I will say this, however.....make sure you know the details of your insurance and how it works. The lady at the front desk tried to overcharge me for my visit. She initially wanted to charge me $90 even though I had met my deductible. She was trying to say the "individual deductible" met was for the cardholder (my husband) and not me. I had to explain that I was the individual who had met the deductible. After a bit of back and forth I was charged $20.

The Dr took his time, asked questions and took the time to listen. Due to the great experience I decided to make Dr Martinez my primary Dr. Feel very comfortable speaking to him and asking questions. He takes the time to explain and educate you. I've been to many Drs and offices and I must say, I've not once had anything to complain when attending an appointment. He also gives house visits if needed and gives you his cell number in case you need him after hours. That's how you know he cares.

Walgreens has been changing their image for awhile now and it so far has been for the better…read more Every time I get a cold or the flu, I call my GP and I am told it will be a few weeks before they can see me. I used to go to the Centra Care by my home but discovered that they no longer take my insurance so I have to pay full price of over $140 to see someone. So I decided to try a Walgreens's Health Clinic. They are putting a Health Clinic in the Walgreens right by my house but its not open yet so I came to this one . I went on line and made an appointment that morning. It was quick and easy. I arrived about 15 early and they have you check in at a computer station. There was only one person in front of me and you could see the list of patients on a monitor above the check in station. Within about 10 min, a nice Physicians Assistant came out and called my name. She was very nice and pleasant to work with. She asked my many questions about my health and my current challenge. I felt she spent a lot of time with me and was concerned about my health. She gave me an exam and then concluded I had bronchitis. She prescribed my some meds which would be ready in about 10 min right outside the clinic. The facility was very clean and well maintained. The PA was very nice and I felt she knew just as much as my GP does! The best thing is, my insurance paid for it! I did pay my co pay and for my meds but all together, I shelled out $25 for everything. Well worth the time and money. I am looking forward to when the Clinic opens up near my house but for now, this one will do just fine. Enjoy!
