When she started in the infant classroom, Ms. Tammy immediately connected with my daughter. She's such a loving and calm teacher. She's still super close to my little one even though she's in the preschool class. When my daughter joined the toddler and discovery preschool classes, she also had great experiences. The teachers were loving, yet also firm when needed and helped reinforce many of the skills being taught at home. She especially loved Ms, Jennifer (now the center's Asst. Director). Every single day my daughter looked forward giving her a big hug upon arrival. Ms. Ella was equally as special to my little one. We are also very familiar with Ms.Charu, Ritu, and Artuneta. The teachers really work well together to provide the best care daily. The activities are also very engaging. Now my daughter is in the preschool classroom and is being prepared for pre-k nicely. She attends a wonderful phonics class 2x weekly with Ms. Tanzy. Hands down this class has enhanced her letter recognition and writing skills. She's even starting to read words. Ms. Antura, her preschool teacher, incorporates very interactive lessons they keep the kids' attention. I'm 100% certain my daughter will be more than ready for kindergarten when the time comes because of the love and care provided to our daughter and family. Last, Ms. Seema, is the absolute best center director I've ever met. She is very organized, kind, has always been willing to discuss questions or concerns, etc. She is truly a director that's immersed in the activities taking place at the center. I'm just so thankful for Sammamish KinderCare's and would recommend it to any parent looking for a place to care for their child.

For your child's sake and for your own peace of mind, avoid this place at all costs. I wish we had reviews to go on when we were evaluating her care but there was only one and it proved to be a very different experience than the one we had. Our experience was a lot more like the other 1 star review here, which is no wonder because two of the more recent 5 star reviews ARE WRITTEN BY HER CHILDREN (flagged). It is this kind of deceit that is so unnerving about Bea's place. I am mostly mad at myself for staying with Bea's for as long as we did despite all the red flags but this was our first child and my wife and I didn't have anything to compare our experience with. In hindsight, I should have left the first time I witnessed Mark, a very big part of the creepiness at this daycare, downstairs in the child care area wearing pajama with a little boy on his lap in front of a computer. It gave me a bad feeling ("I hope he never does that with my child") but I wasn't going to jump to any extreme conclusions. Over the next few years this is what we experienced: 1. Lying. Bea lies... a lot. In fact, her habit of lying actually makes it difficult to judge what is going on and impossible to communicate. We found that most of the lies weren't that big of a deal and the excuse I projected onto her was that other parents must be so difficult that she feels she needs to lie about little things because I might be one of those parents. For example, Bea has quite a few small dogs and she told us the children are never around them because they make sure to keep the animals separate. This is 100% untrue, but I really didn't mind. Unfortunately, there were other times when the lying really did matter. First, there was the time my child started coming home smelling like cigarette smoke. When I mentioned it she immediately dug in and claimed no one in her family smoked, started blaming other parents, etc. Well smoking isn't illegal, I just don't want it around my child but claiming it didn't happen made any sort of conversation about it impossible. The day I mentioned the smell of smoke I saw her son smoking in the backyard and noticed a crumpled up pack of cigarettes in his car on the way to the front door. We should have removed our child that day but you know how hectic life is when you're balancing a career and parenthood and the next time I picked up my child, the smell was gone. Though Bea continued to lie about the smoking at least it was gone so... problem solved, right? There were other incidents where the lying mattered and where the promises she made to us when we first met were simply not the reality of her care. 2. Screen Time. After two years my son doesn't know a single German word but he sure knows a lot about Paw Patrol, Amazon Video, and YouTube. When we first met Bea she assured us that there was no TV. Well that was a huge lie. The TV was on every time I dropped off. One of Bea's daughters even let slip they keep the TV on during nap time, which is probably why my child, who takes 1 1/2 - 2 hour long naps at home would always have bags under his eyes after daycare. Screen time is something our family might be more sensitive about than others but because of the lying it was hard to figure out what was happening. We should have pulled our child out after realizing the extent of tv watching but I second guessed myself. 3. Mark. This is where things are most obvious that we should have found a different daycare and yet the most difficult to discern. To begin, Mark and Bea constantly argue in front of the kids. In fact, they argued, uncomfortably, in front of us the first day we visited the daycare to see if it was a good fit. Red flag! Less tangibly, but more importantly, I find Mark really creepy. I think he acts strangely with the kids, I think he is impossible to engage in conversation, and I wouldn't feel comfortable if he were the only one there looking after my child. We should have run from this place at the first bad feeling in my gut. There were other issues tied into the big three above: what I perceived as casual anti-Semitism around Easter and Christmas, giving our child candy against our explicit instructions (the worst was: "Mark gives your child candy so he will like him better"), and it was like pulling teeth to get a quick summary of our child's day at pick up. All I really wanted to know was did he sleep? Did he eat? What did he eat? Not only did I have to push for answers to these questions every single pick up but the answers I got were usually vague or flat out wrong. I wouldn't have written about our experience had it not been for the fake review written by her daughter. Steer clear of Bea's. There are plenty of daycare facilities in our neighborhood that no one should have to risk using this place.

My 5 and 3 year old both go to KCS.  KCS is like a second home.  Everyone is so warm, welcoming,…read morecaring, and genuinely love kids.  Many of the faces I see there were there when my eldest first started 4 years ago.  If I start naming names, it would be a huge list because everyone I have encountered at KCS have been amazing.  When we walk in the hallway even teachers from other classes tend to know my kids names and give us a warm welcome as we pass by.  I am always in such awe of the curriculum, and way they are always changing the layouts in the classrooms with exciting ways to play and bring alive learning experiences.  Their in house kitchen makes such delicious homemade food for the kids that I wish I could eat there as well! They have such an impressive array of outdoor/playground areas for the kids to enjoy in rain or shine. I could not imagine a more well run daycare!  They really know what they are doing!!! They were great at keeping up with latest Covid recommendations from the state for daycares and communicating the updates to everyone as clearly as possible. My friends with kids elsewhere would ask me about KCS Covid guidelines, and were always so impressed with how well KCS managed the craziness of the past couple years. I am sad that my eldest will be leaving KCS, but happy my youngest has another couple years.  Today was the last day of the school year, and my kids' teachers gave such touching cards and gifts to my kids for them to remember the year.  Thank you to everyone at KCS!  One of the best choices I ever made was deciding to send my kids here!

Each of her classes was a warm, nurturing environment that promoted learning and true connection between students and their teachers. The staff at KCS was also a pleasure to deal with throughout our time at the school. Finally, I have to commend KCS on their handling of the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. KCS was very conscientious in the application of health and safety precautions throughout this period, and the staff was very flexible as health guidelines continually changed. Overall, I couldn't recommend KCS more, and we will miss everyone there as our daughter moves on to first grade!

Our son is in the 'Dippers' class, and his teacher, Ms. Melissa and assistant teacher, Ms. Bella, are amazing. There are stations setup each morning with age appropriate and engaging activities (water play, sand play, Mr. Potato Head, etc.) which our son loves! There's music class every Monday and Thursday, an amazing outdoor play space on acreage, and nutritious, diverse meals served. Emotionally - Ms. Melissa and the staff helped reinforce preparing our son for the arrival of his baby brother by talking about being a 'big brother' and reinforcing our son's role in our family. It made the transition of bringing baby home more exciting than nerve racking. Above and beyond a typical school experience in my opinion. Operationally - SCS also has many less closure days than some of the schools my friends kiddos go to in the area, so much more predictable for work schedules. It did take us a little over 7-months to get off the wait list, but Ms. Kelly (assistant director) was awesome at helping us plan for a reasonable date to possibly join. I cannot say enough positive things about this school, the faculty, the activities, the food, and overall experience. Highly recommend to any families looking for a long-term 'home' for their kiddos.

Just like most new moms, I was very nervous leaving my baby and going back to work but the Goddard staff made us so comfortable from the beginning by providing kind, supportive, educated communication. The owner, Shauna, and the entire administrative staff are fantastic. Very hands on and with great communication, always open to answering questions and providing updates. The teachers in the infant class are caring, loving and provide a safe environment for babies to grow and explore. My son moved from the infants to toddler room a few months ago and the teachers in toddler class (Squirrels) are just as amazing. They do such a great job of taking care of the kids, teaching them, making connection with them and making sure they have fun. We were amazed when my son started doing sign language to communicate and it seems like he is learning something new everyday. He loves going to school and he loves his teachers, and enjoys the wide range of activities specially music class and going out. It has been an incredible journey for us to see him grow and learn new things and we owe it to the fantastic team at Goddard. Ms. Fatima conducts Motessori related research and keep parents and kids engaged and keep improving the education quality. It's a very nourishing and loving environment.
